@Cyclone_Baroness:
No I mean in general. Not talking about Noland's stuff.
I'm talking only Nolan's movies. He ruined the third one imo due to the hostage situation taking months.
@valiantt:
Okay, so let's say this hypothetically happened in the 3rd batman movie (you know, the one Nolan directed?). Imagine you (amongst several others) are in a movie theater with anticipation of watching a movie about batman. 2/3 of the movie in, while batman is missing, Superman flies in and saves the day while Batman was chilling in his cell. Talk about one of the worst deus ex machina's you can pull off in a movie. Just because you have a bunch of super heroes at your disposal in this universe, doesn't mean you are obligated to refer to them.
In fact, this universe was Nolan's creation. In his fictitious Batman world, the other super heroes might not even exist. After all, he was certainly trying to pull off a sense of "realism". Imagine, how that would defy his vision (in spite of defying it a few times already in the 3rd movie) if a flying man showed up and flew away with the nuke.
It's Nolan's fault for writing it how he did. As a DC and Marvel fan I hated the movie in how it was written with the premise that no other heroes exist in the world. Had to have been written that way or else it makes bullshit sense like i'm saying.
Everyone rips on a comic book movie for the littlest things like peter parker is supposed to be funnier, or so and so's suit is wrong, ect. Yet it seemed like most people ignored or tottally didn't see the huge fault Rises had in that it ignored the entire DC world besides Batman. Again I'm not saying show any other superhero. Hell as you said having superman fly in and grab the nuke and grab punch out the bad guys in 10 seconds would be shit. But I'm saying that the movie was wrote in a way that sometime in those months that Batman was MIA, superman or someone else would have flown in an finished the job.
First two movies were great in that regard. I mean Batman was doing his stuff, taking down crooks, nothing earth shattering that the entire world wouldn't all hear of. Or at least thwarted before such an event happened. But in Rises, the event was not thwarted. The city was taken over, it was held hostage by a nuke, citizens and cops were killed, prisoners and criminals ruled the city. This is something that the outside world would have taken notice of. It's believable that in the situation the government/army could do nothing about it, but that is where these vigilante superheroes come in to do stuff. Green Arrow had plenty of time to fly away from Star City. Superman had plenty of time to fly from Metropolis. Aquaman had plenty of time to play waterpolo with some fish. Wonderwoman could have easily gotten her jet there sometime in those months, she could have brought her entire amazon race with her in that time flying one or two at a time.
i'm thinking of all the superhero movies I have seen in my life (DC and Marvel) and I really can't think of any that broke this invisible rule like Rises did.

@wolfwood:
Three of the major ones are aliens and could be literally in another galaxy.
And two are from islands/kingdoms who admitedly don't care all that much about the world outside their domain.
It's not about the quality of the superhero, its about the lack of one.
I don't need to have superman or cap marvel show up. All i'm saying is we should have at least seen somebody in that time frame. The movie had too long of a time frame.
