Haki does not stop an ability user being able to use his ability while they maintain physical contact.

Why does it seem like people keep suggesting Kyros beat Diamante in a single hit? Kyros first injured Diamante in chapter 757, and in chapter 769 we saw Diamante bleeding from a fresh cut to the face. That's a minimum of three hits inflicted, and implicitly, a lot more given that the fight was going on for a while and we only saw small glimpses of it.

I messed up the explanation. I meant to say that if you have enough strength, you can stop something from rotating. It's really simple.

And I'm pretty sure the damage Buffalo took was from Kyros suddenly pressing his head.

And if Kyros held down his head with enough strength, he wouldn't be able to rotate it at all. Same logic if you hold a fan with enough strength (don't do it though. It will be bad for the fan). Rotation doesn't have an unstoppable force.

I think you are free to believe that he used haki. After all Buffalo is the one guy in the world that shouldn't be defeated by this kind of attack.
But that's it lol. You don't need to find super twisted arguments that you invent bit by bit. Half of your interlocutors will think that you are stupid, because even in arguments quantity doesn't mean quality.
The other half will enter your game and counter your twisted arguments with twisted arguments. And ironically those seems to annoy you.

What you seem to not understand is that using Haki does NOT negate DF powers, whether the attack would be too fast for him to react or not is irrelevant.
Basically Haki (armament) only does two things: Being able to damage a Logia's body, and give a damage boost to your attacks. That's it, it doesn't stop someone from using their powers.

Kyros could have been out of chains, trying to kill Dofla but failing because of Dofla's devil fruit or Sugar unexpectedly touching him, whatever. He could have been a tin soldier, with one leg or two legs, whatever, and now we wouldn't have a gladiator hopping on one leg then on one wounded leg to defeat a perfectly healthy man. At some point, physical damage needs to play a role, otherwise we can just have characters who are only heads, fighting with their ears…

Kyros is almost acting like he has both legs anyway and I think two legged Kyros would require Diamante to give a better fight. Would have helped if Rebecca wasn't just being in the way for the sake of emotional weight. Then we could have a real fight for the championship without Kyros and his handicaps in the form of his missing leg and the daughter he had to protect for the most of the fight.

And don't confuse this "I don't like it because it didn't happen the way I liked it" trope. :ninja:

It would be fine the way it is, only if Rebecca butted off during the fight (like any sane person who is useless in a fight would do) and Diamante actually used more attack patterns in combination with his devil fruit, making Kyros to bust out some tricks of his own, namely combining Observation with jet walk and his sword skills. I'd rather have that than another same speech about how Rebecca's purity is intact (good luck finding a guy Kyros approves of, though).

Yeah, but it makes an awfully bad impression on me. It's like the character doesn't have any depth. He kinda seemed a more complete character when he was a toy soldier.

I find the "he was a better character as a toy" argument strange considering its the same character, with the same goals and dreams about freeing his country and getting rid of Doflamingo. This isn't like Nami or Robin when we first meet them not knowing who they are until we got an arc that completely told their back story later on. This was a main character for the arc who we almost immediately found out who he was and had more than an inking on how he was transformed into a toy (a number of people here thought Trebol was the one with Sugar's power before it was revealed).

Also, Diamante is a matador who takes on already weakened opponents. He clearly underestimated Kyros because he had one leg, which is backed up by how utterly shocked he was when Kyros was taking huge damage yet still coming at him and going blow for blow with him until he beat(?) him. It's backed up in the chapter. Also, considering the history we know about Kyros, It would be a million times worse if he fell to one of Diamante's attack and not what your complaints are about. In fact I think a big reason why people are down on Kyros is because of people putting all of their hopes that Rebecca was the "Greatest fighter in the Coliseum" when she clearly isn't close to not only Kyros and Diamante, but also Burgess, Sabo and Bartolomeo.

Finally, I bet you right now that the anime will have a lot more of a focus on the fight and what was shown off-panel, because it's not like they all stood there while Oda focused on the other fights until it switched over to them and were told to start fighting. Because both characters looked like they had been landing blows on each other when this chapter started.

I think Sai post-Dragon Drill awakening is a force to be reckoned with too. Zoro himself mentioned it, and he's actually the only guy that's virtually unscathed after his fight, the rest of the fighters are all in tatters or at least heavily battered.

Baby 5 was weaker than Dellinger and Lao G went down without doing a number on Sai because he felt victim to Vergo syndrome- getting buff and blindly rushing at enemy being too sure of himself
Sais Dragon Drill is a force, less Sai himself(he is comparable to Elizabello with his King Punch) so I would not put him in monster trio "level" or on par with people that RamistaR listed.

Yep I hesitated to pick him aswell. A talented martial artist with the strongest kick in the serie. I hope Oda will take this alliance business seriously. I need to see more of this character. Not to mention : Baby 5!

The part with matador is something I first read in your previous post. Just because his look is inspired by a matador, doesn't mean he has never fought a fresh opponent. Likewise, just because the tournament we saw was set in one way, doesn't mean every fight was the same. I and anyone else were fully entitled to expect Diamante to be a threatening combatant.

About the anime, even if I wasn't sure that any filler they add to that fight is going to be shitty, I could hardly care less what they do with it. Manga and anime are separate mediums and I don't want to read a manga expecting a bad animation team is going to fill in the blanks not shown on panels. Last time I was excited to see what they did, CC caught Grizzly Magnum and stopped it.

Neither Cabbage got hurt, well he did by himself while grabbing his own sowrd. None of the enemies ever touched him.

Lao G, Pink and Gladius were pretty thug, I don't really know which one of those three is the strongest but Lao G went down with the most destructive badass move between all of the executives 'till now, including Diamante. Though I'm expecting Zoro to surpass Sai's badasness next chap.

Sai in my opinion has one really overpowered move and average (for the New World) everything else, same as Hajrudin and Elizabello.

Sanji's kinda been shown up by all of the mid trio since the skip. Robin with catching Hakuba and blocking Diamante's attacks barehanded, Franky getting a fight every arc so far, and Brook beating that dragon with skin harder than steel.

Robin went from 79 millions to 80 millions for beating up Spandman, stoping Hakuba it's basically her major accomplishment during this arc, I'd say she's getting 81 millions!!
