it was obvious that natsu was END?
Yes, it was.
Many have guess that E.N.D. stands for Evil Natsu Dragneel, which is like…99% correct.

Wtf Doranbolt .
yeah,it was pretty much on par with the "revelation" that tobi was obito
never came to my mind, i always thought the demons ARE the books, so END is the book until its activated.
now that i think about it i guess its because zeref said only natsu can defeat him and mard geer said the same about the book?
Yes, it was.

oh^^
yeah didnt even realize that "etherious natsu dragneel" up until your post^^
Yeah twist was obvious. Some scenes were kinda okay I guess. Chapter wasn't bad. And I am sure the guild will get together in no time anyway.
I guess short hair Wendy figures just weren't selling enough. I completely forgot about Jellal and his group and how they ended up doing fuck all. I guess getting those tailor made cloaks took up all their time so they couldn't help with Face.
I never foresaw Natsu being E.N.D. but if that's the case, wouldn't the destruction of the book lead to the death of Natsu? Overall it's actually a pretty decent twist in the direction of the story. But it also means we're gonna have to deal with Natsu learning how to use his demonic powers and also being corrupted by them. Urghh!
why the hell would doranbolt erase his memory for infiltrating the council?
Erasing his memory makes sense since it's a world where there are all kinds of magic. Someone who can read minds or something would uncover him pretty soon. But that's the only thing that makes sense about it.
Why did FT need a spy in the Council? What was so serious that a member renounced a part of his life to go work for Council without even remembering he's a FT member? If he was a sleeper and there was a word code that could restore his memory, I'd understand…
My Reaction to Last page of 416
Happy END. Eh, eh get it? Yeah, I… see myself out
We might see FTs version of Nardo vs Sause in Natsu vs Gray, Red vs Blue.
This spread is horrendous. Did Rob Liefeld draw it?

yeah i meant that.
if he wasnt a sleeper agent i cant actually see how this should work out.
send him there, make him erase his memories, and look how he never comes back, because now he thinks he's a loyal member of the council now.
Why did Wendy cut her hair, again?
Something about not despairing anymore blah blah blah…

I guess the symbolic cutting of the hair to signify she toughened up wasn't really necessary, lol.
I thought this week's chapter was good. While Jellal's speech was more or less nonsense (though that might have been an issue with the translation), it did a good job of actually showing how the latest arc affected a lot of the major characters, which isn't something that usually happens in this series.
I doubt the claim of disbanding the guild will actually stand (I see no reason why they should, and the decision more or less came out of nowhere), and I don't know whether Natsu will actually leave for a year on his own (on one hand, it gives an explanation for the cast getting strong enough to fight Acnologia, Zeref, and whoever Zeref has as a group of minions, but on the other hand, it seems like Lucy's going to stop him, or at least convince him that they'd be better off working together with their friends to get stronger), but I'm interested to see how this will turn out.
so zerefs magic depends on his belief
and who does he mean with he killed her? mavis?
interesting day for fairy tail
I couldn't care less about Etherios Natsu Dragneel, but Zero actually entertained me there with Zeref turning out to be the teacher of Mavis, Hades, Yuri and Warrod. And I wonder why its "Mavis, The Black Wizard" if she is like the avatar of light (or Lumen Histoire) in the main story. She probably cranked up her illusion magic in some way, gonna be interesting to see (hopefully).
I can't for the life of me make any sense out of this. So they just disband and that's it. What a stupid ass way of advancing the plot.
Credit where its due. I'm slightly interested in being interested about what happens next.
Mostly cause we didn't do the same soft core porn, bath scene, party celebration Jellah bs like every other arc.
Wonder where this goes.
Eh..it'll be titties.
I want to get my hopes up for what comes next, really I do, but I've learned my lesson after Tartarus came out the way it did after it's strong start. This is still a good chapter though, nothing amazing but nothing really bad in it either
At least we know that the beginning of an arc means, that there are more puns, more adventures and fewer asspulls. These parts are the best in the whole series imo.
Wtf Doranbolt .
It's kind of funny that Zero's story is blatantly more interesting than that of the main manga.
"Etherios Natsu Dragneel" sounds so mind-numbingly lame (about 33% more lame than "Natsu Dragneel" by itself), although seeing Juvia and Grey finally getting somewhere was sweet. The Doranbolt thing seemed like a twist for the sake of a twist.
Gotta say, it was actually a good chapter. Minor complaints about Wendy's hair and Doranbolt having been part of Fairy Tail before, but overall I liked it. Had some nice emotion from a number of characters, and was really glad with how the Juvia and Grey scene went, since any other time if Grey buried his head in her chest, it would've ended with a joke.
Only bad thing to really say is chapters like this in a way make me more disappointed with the series. The final chapter or so of each arc always has these nice emotional scenes, but with the arcs especially of late, they just don't come up as well. The scene at the end of Edolas with Lissana coming back was much better because of build-up over time. The stuff with the Phantom Guild at the end was pretty good. Unfortunately this, while a well done chapter, doesn't exceed because of the stuff before it. Grey's despair is a bit less with the fact his father just happened to be there for something that wasn't well done (no emotional build up like Ur). Erza's thing was a bit out of the blue, and the fact that her torture part seemed more like fanservice didn't help (also don't remember tentacles being there). Natsu got over the stuff a bit to quickly, and Lucy's felt a little lackluster.
It might also just be because I'm not into the series as much as the earlier parts as well. I just wish Mashima knew how to write a more cohesive story, because these moments could really hit people with emotions if other parts were more polished.
This chapter makes me think "how could this possibly go wrong?" than anything else. It's a Déjà vu. But anyway! The revelation wasn't much of a surprise. Dranbolt's case was meh. Wendy's "Important Haircut" was undone so quickly. Not only Natsu bounces back in almost no time, he left his 'friends' to train on his own accord instead of trying to work something out with them first. Fairy Tail is going to be disbanded? Okay. This means that only Lucy's ass and tits can bring Fairy Tail back together as one.
I guess I'm just indifferent in this.
All well when it ends well.
Because it makes total sense to disband the only guild that can actually protect the world. Sure, Makarov.
I don't really like the chapter. The disbanding just feels so forced and unnecessary. It's just happening stuff without a well thought out causality.
Could this manga be any more predictable? (Chandler quote)
I actually enjoy Fairy tail Zero much more than the main manga. The main manga does not explore the world or the characters. It is basically wave after wave of unimpressive villains with no motivation but being the big bad without even being entertaining. Fairy Tail Zero so far is really enjoyable with it is feel of companionship. The plot is focused as all of the antagonists journey toward one goal even though their intentions is not exactly the same.
To me, the stupidest thing was actually the fact that Makarov just disbanded Fairy Tail. Even though are they're close friends and go on adventures and all that jazz, it's still not some kind of unorganized friend group. It's a workplace. Makarov just randomly fired all of his employees. Thus, the supposed emotional impact just didn't appear to me - if Makarov himself had retired while keeping the guild intact, it would've worked better. And poor Lucy, with all of her trouble to get money for her rent, and now she's unemployed.
It's nothing more than just another cheap dramatic twist mashima is throwing at us, which will be negated very soon anyway.
Haven't read the Manga in a while. Why do they disband?
No explanation's been given for that yet - it pretty much came out of nowhere.

Well most reason I can think of is to let the members recover after that. I guess he feels guilty at dragging the fight to Magnolia and all the destruction it caused. Plus something about letting the members do their thing.
Some stuff is a bit weird from the chapter, but I'll let it slide for now. Doranbolt is the strangest thing, as nothing comes from the twist except for the sake of twist.
FT Ice and Zero were good. Only problem is I don't understand Zeref. Most of the time he's claiming not to want to harm anything, but then from the main manga, he's just gone full evil, saying that if Acnologia is defeated, he will bring an even greater despair.
There are rumors Mashima said on twitter he plans to end FT at chapter 700. Man that will be worse than when Kishi dragged the War Arc…

A part of me died.
I can't tell if Zeref is a little boy or a grown man trapped in a little boy's body.

So… 284 more chapters? That's roughly 6 more years worth of 2-3 arcs. He might actually pull it.
I doubt we'll have a 60+ chapter fight against Zeref like with the Obito/Madara duo, one of the few good things about Fairy Tail is that it never drags, if anything it's too fast at times.
^True enough. Though, we still don't know for sure if Zeref is really the true last boss, without some other entity manipulating him from behind the scene.

Little did he know that the true mastermind behind all this was…Igneel! Plot-twist and another 100 chapters incoming!

Mashima being Mashima, he would produce at least 3 new arcs instead of a single, infinite, unnerving battle. So… it would be a slightly better read than Naruto, at least in that department.
Mashima being Mashima, though, I doubt he would end Fairy Tail at chapter 700: chapter 777 feels more likely, given his obsession with the number 7. But no, I don't want to believe there is still that much stuff to tell us about FT world... unless he decides to explore other continents and give more (and more) substance to FT world.
What if jellal turns out to be the final villian and he is just manipulating everyone
Well we all predicted it, and here it is.
Never change, Mashima. At this point I'd be surprised if we -didn't- get a hot springs special or some other excuse to see the girls naked
Well we all predicted it, and here it is.
Just started reading it and of course we open up to a hentai bath scene with all the girls feeling each other up -_-
So glad I took the time to read about madame Erza and Natsu helping girls climax with fire.
Is there going to be another one? Like, they ask Natsu to deliver a pizza to them?
Natsu flapping his dong around lolis. Keeping it classy as always mashima.^^
