@Louis-1988:
Agree to disagree then. Night means night to me until an authority figure in the manga says otherwise.
We can agree to disagree but Jirou, Setsuno, Chichi, Mappy, and maybe darmha hermit have all talked about gormet world being in night. If night is just the few hours a day that the sun is down why would all these characters be pointing it out.
@Louis-1988:
I never said that the highways were "paved roads," but as far as we know the highways aren't destroyed or altered the way the restrooms are so it stands to reason that if one finds a highway you can probably find your way back to it. Furthermore; Food Luck is not exclusive to Komatsu and not everyone needs to possess Food Luck on his level in order to find a rest room, I'm certain.
Then why is mappy so shocked that toriko and komatsu survived, and attributes it to food luck?
@Louis-1988:
You don't need to know every inch of it to be better acquainted with and acclimated to it than outsiders.
We also have no evidence that brunch has ever been to other parts of the gourmet world that are not in Area 8. It just feels way to convenient.
@Louis-1988:
CAReru is also weaker than the 4HK, now are you going to try and argue with me that he's not better equipped to traverse long distances at a high rate of speed and escape from sticky situations than them?
Yea, i will. Caueru stayed around the group not off on his own. He also would have gotten killed by horses on horse king hill if not for toriko stoping them.
@Louis-1988:
Can you really not see how having a birds eye perspective on your surroundings is more advantageous than being grounded?
I can see how its beneficial. But being in the air doesnt make you invincible. Tons of things could still get him from the ground, not to mention all the flying beasts.
@Louis-1988:
How do you know he didn't face any hardships along the way? I must have missed the chapter(s). Can you link them for me?
Shows up at midora's hide out and doesnt look hurt or tired, so i doubt he faced too much trouble.
@rereboy:
That's an inherent part of the epic scale that flavors everything in Toriko and is basically only used to build up some anticipation and tension for the inevitable confrontations and fights.
I really don't see how that translates to "omg, this is so serious business". Its even less serious business than Dragon Ball, imo, and Dragon Ball was already very low on serious business.
This is fair to say. But since cooking fest this manga has felt more like they are out to stop neo than the good ol food hunting it used to be. This change in narative focus to me signifies a more serious plot turn. However, who cares about this plot turn when its barely explored and they were dumped into the plot all at once not too long ago.
