Maybe that's why Bambina's so sad. He knows he's being played for his balls.
Sad? I think he's about to cry for the happiness of a real fight!

My theory is that he crys because the other monkeys expect him to fight them now, to prove that he is still the strongest. And obviously that wont end well for his new found playmates.
!
Toriko didn't use his oni arm to play with bambina right? That was his own arm or did I miss something
One thing for sure: They will never beat the exchange of Hamon to Stands.
YESSS! ROOUND OF APPLAUSE!
That is THE most bothering and inconsistent thing in the history of manga. And, even though, you can still enjoy Jojo!
But Toriko is still nowadays consistent to its beginning. The difference is that its consistency does not rely in a an 'internal' thing (how characters live and see their world), such as ki/magic/chakra/haki/apetite, but an 'external' thing (how is it narrated and read, with a sense of 'meta' literature and self awareness) which is the OVER THE TOP thing -which, inevitably, needs to keep bringing brand new things from the 'real world' (pseudo science) in order to exaggerate them, and thus toss them rapidly away and skip right to the next one.
Everything is the same good ol' times in Toriko - except from Neo, that thing is lame storytelling xD.
i wanted to read the arguments but they are way to long

why is neo lame storytelling?
I dislike NEO because they seem to be all-knowing for no good reason storytelling wise, plus there seems to be no possible counterplay for this available to the good guys. Like, waltz right in and stab Komatsu in the heart and no one notices a thing, casually talk about what Toriko and co are doing with the Monkey King (again, no one else seems to notice he's being spied on - and this is supposed to be a very hard to get to area), not to mention all the cooking festival stuff.
They've been really boring villains so far.
Sad? I think he's about to cry for the happiness of a real fight!
I think so too. I actually really like this scene; Torikos emotional moments rarely hit home for me, but this one did - I guess its due to how likeable and well characterized Bambina is. Toriko himself shines in this little moment too; I've often stated that I find him kind of dull, but I've always respected his philosophy when fighting non-humans/ingredients; theres no hostility or arrogance in his statement that they'll play with Bambina.
It felt genuine to me; I hope they can part on friendly terms with Bambina, despite getting his…pair.
Can you calculate how long the timeframe was during which he played with them? As we see on one of the panels his drool was close to the ground when he started. And the drool is even effected by the 100g.
Sure I can do a rough calculation! According to my calculations from before the Toriko world has an acceleration due to gravity of 54 m/s^2. On 100g mountain we can assume then that the acceleration due to gravity is a bone-crushing 5400 m/s^2. This is totally nuts and is more than 20 times the surface gravity strength on the Sun. If you weight 150 pounds on earth you would weigh more than 80,000 lbs on 100g mountain on the Toriko world. It also means that things fall REALLY REALLY fast.
Judging from the pictures, it seems like the drool droplet has about 5cm left to fall before it hits the ground. I'm estimating that it fell from a height of about 4.5 feet. Given the local acceleration due to gravity it would be moving at ~122m/s when it hit the ground (almost 300 miles per hour, REALLY FAST). This means that to fall the final 5cm takes a very, very short amount of time. I get about .4 milliseconds for the entire "playtime". This is only 1/500th the amount of time needed for the eye to blink and 50 times faster than an extremely fast human response to stimuli.

Cool thanks very much. I wonder if he had taken the 100g effect into account when drawing the drool. >1 ms sounds totally insane, but then again this is Toriko.

The salivas falling speed was not influenced by the gravity. The gravity of 100G Mountain only reacts to the flesh of living creatures.
!
That's a good point but I wonder if all the living cells in a drop of sweat would "activate" the gravity in Toriko-Phyiscs world? It's also possible that the living cells in the sweat could use Enbu and ignore the extra gravity. We've seen characters (notably Sunny) control cells that are no longer attached to their body.
Well, if the drool drop isn't affected then the time for it to fall that small distance is 4 milliseconds. Which is still a very very small amount of time.
Edit: I'd also like to point out that SJA's official translation said that the playtime was going to be the "busiest millisecond", so it looks like once again, Shima gets the math right!
I'm still wanna know why didn't Bambina exploded or frozen in space.
It's kind of meaningless after the cell concept don't you think? He should be able to easily repel those effects I'd think. The thing about this concept is it's essentially limitless. Probably only thing that will be able it is going to be another Gourmet Cell related stuff.

My only concern is if Enbu would turn Food Honor/Immersion irrelevant.
Immersion is still relevant in this manga and for regenative purposes is going to stay that way. BUT Food Honor is tricky.
I mean even in the arc itself It got somehow absurd when Toriko lost his temper while still being powered-up. I guess it won't be anything more than RPG-style +2 strength feat that hapened somewhere in the story. And well Toriko's character… Which didn't change.
Biological beings don't explode in space in real life. They have adverse effects from the lack of pressure but they don't explode, and given how strong Bambina is and how well it masters Enbu, its easy to guess that it can overcome those effects. Same thing for the cold, especially since, even in real life, its hard to actually lose heat in space.

They probably just learned how to maintain themselves constantly appreciative towards the ingredients even when they are mad about something else. By now they are probably better at it than even Chinchin.
I dont understand how these monkeys are on the top of 100G mountain. A). They shouldnt be able to breathe and B). there should only be a handful of monkeys that know enbu good enough to ward off 100G gravity.
But kaku said all 5 billion have showed up? Just a few chapters ago it was said aye aye (however you spell it) was only able to travel with them because he ate air.
Hell what about the huge fields of killer pollen plants? There is enough safe zone beasts for these hundreds of monkeys?
Im all for a fight, but it feels shima forgot what he did just a few chapters ago.
Many can handle it and it was stated that they have camping monsters to climb the mountain (like Komatsu). Of course I won't argue the logistics of it, but it was mentioned.
I feel like these millisecond skirmishes are going to get old real fast
Well…I was thinking about the games the 4HKs played again...the only one who won is Sunny, because Zebra lost but survived, Coco lost but saved his leg, Toriko drew and saved his arm, while Sunny won.
Somehow I think the will befriend with Bambina but now we will see some "regenaration" from 4HKs. They cannot phisically "win", not even if Toriko Blue Oni will awake again (Heracles managed to defeat him with Destroy Breathe).

Even disregarding the logistics of enough camping monsters to transport 5 billion monkeys, or the logistics involved with 5 billion monkeys being on top/around 100G mountain. There still is the issue, to me, of all of those monkeys being on the mountain and not being inside camping monsters. Even if those are just the highly skilled ones that can avoid gravity how are they breathing? I havent seen anything about enbu letting you avoid breathing, not being able to breathe should be a bigger deal than it is being made out to be currently.
Of course shima could come up with something to counter this, like oxygen leaves or so many enbu monkeys around each other the entire mountains gravity is being shed like a group. I just dont have faith that he will address it.
Shima really isn't a great writer
But if you came to Toriko for the great writing…I've got some bad news for you

You can breathe just fine in 100G Mountain. It's the surroundings mountains that you need to cross to get there that have no oxygen.

It makes me wonder if the ''affects only living flesh'' is there to not having to deal with special relativity! Essentially 100G mountain could've become a Torikoesque Hyperbolic time chamber.

anyone who can write an arc like the cooking fest is a great writer, and toriko has barely any plotholes if any
sigh… here we go again

It's not just you, but could you guys just not bump the thread with a post just asking for spoilers every week? They'll get posted eventually, or the script will show up almost immediately after

Would it be cheeky of me to ask for a summary? I know a lot of people are happy with the full script, but I prefer a summary or rather just wait for the scanlation.
Chinese scan.
! Those balls, man…
Chapter 310
Balls.
Toriko is funny by the way.
'There are no rules, no taps….only Knockouts. But when you get in trouble, tap out ok?'
Also, fairly obvious this won't harm Bambina, might even harm Zebra.
Bambina is gonna let the force of Sani's punch pass trough him with Enbu, damaging Zebra instead. But a wrestling setup makes for interesting combo attacks from the 4 kings, I guess, so I'm all up for it :)
Hold on…wait a minute...their aim wasn't to beat the Monkey King, am I wrong? They weren't supposed to be able to take down him but "only" to be his playmates...and now they're saying they have to defeat...to defeat one of the Eight Kings??? The one whose power ecplises Heracles' (it's not only the 'no-breathe' question)??? I hope Sunny's punch won't affect Bambina at all but only Zebra.
Well Bambina is only wrestling, not going all out with the intent to kill. But yeah, the rules make it sound like the goal is a Knockout of Bambina, which is pretty insane for only the 2nd island/ingredient. But that was expected the moment Bambina's balls were the target and this is Toriko so it's par for the course.
I find the 5 billion on the mountain way more ridiculous, but I guess that's also just Toriko, right? But c'mon. It'd be much more understandable if it was a stadium or a valley, but the match is on TOP of the Mountain. No one can see what's going on for the majority of the fight!
Bambina spinning himself around and making himself dizzy was a great moment though. And having Sunny step up first is a really nice touch, along with Zebra just straight up cheating. It's a good start for the match.
What was that, a golden rain soundwave?
O_o
Toriko is funny by the way.
'There are no rules, no taps….only Knockouts. But when you get in trouble, tap out ok?'
I think he mean it Tag.
Why didn't Sani used an Hair Punch or something?
Did Sunny just use his fists? I've never seen him do that before.
Probably that punch destroyed his balls. Gg. Monkey king is going to turn into a female.
lol even tho sani told zebra he want to fight him he interfered XD

No tap outs as in the fight ends now but as in "tap out so we can help you".
Not sure but I interpreted it that way.
I predict that they will put up a good fight, but monkey king will end up defeating them all. In the end, he'll be soo entertained, he'll just give them his balls…(never thought I'd type that sentence out in my life)
