Truly nothing would be better for the abuse victim than to kill himself on someone way above his weight class just so he can die satisfying his inferiority complex.
Chapter 769: Pirate Bellamy
-
-
Welp, Zoro's nowhere near as annoying as Bellamy.
I dont find him annoying. The man is lost. His dreams are crushed.
Zoro wanted to die but Mihawk realised its not worth killing someone like that.
Different situation but new story. Bellamy will have a future in the series. Oda put him in again and as he is just a hitting dummy so far, he wwill have a purpose. Luffy will give it to him.
Oda doesnt care if you find Bellamy annoying compared to Zoro. If Bellamy is done here then what a wwaste of panel space and discussion
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I hope Bellamy does die. It'll be incredibly poignant
Guy is supposedly on death's door and wants to go out on his own terms
But alas Oda is a pussy so it won't happen
It's not that Oda is a pussy. Bellamy was supposedly dead. Why would Oda bring him back, waste precious panel time and then have him killed and thats the end, no one cared.

If Bellamy dies, i want Law to die.
-
Why's that? He's asking for it, why not give it to him?
How many times have people told Luffy to not save them/not help them/wait for them/leave them behind/not bother with them/kill them?
Seriously, Luffy works in reverse psychology.
-
Now this is rather arguable statement.
True that. Current Zoro is being quite irritating as well, but I always try to remember him in his old days. Bellamy unfortunately, already was annoying, still is annoying and will be annoying forever.

Geez KC, I've already said I'm just hoping for it to happen, not that has a good chance to.
-
You guys didn't notice. It was possible a lie from Bellamy. He seems to fight Luffy but his actual target is Doffy. He jump around to hide his true target. And finally he will jump to Doffy to blow a final attack at Doffy. I think Bellamy will be serious injure or die after Doffy block his attack.
-
so am i the only one here who thinks Luffy is going to bite his lip, and let Bellamy belt him till he opens all his wounds and knocks himself out, and then in a fit of rage and manly tears for sake of his friend Luffy will beat the shit out of doffy
of course with oda making it more touching and heartfelt then that half assed explanation of how I think it will go down
-
16 chars of No you're not.

okay cool, it seemed when I skimmed the thread everyone was talking abut a second 1HKO

Oh Cyan never change
-
So… the Zoro hate is coming from...?
-
The only justified Zoro hate should come from his fucking terrible section of the fandom, not for anything he's actually done.
-
@Cyan:

I don't think so, Zoro pre-TS was miles better then our current smug-ass one. But maybe he just needs to suffer a bit to loose it up a little and come back to his old self.
BTW Cyan, is there anything in your signature besides the sentence? It has like ten lines of nothing here.

Link please, I want to see the time Zoro wanted to die.
I do not remember Zoro wanting to die at any point. I remember he's willing to die for his efforts in either reaching his dream or protecting Luffy. But willing to die is totally different than wanting to die.
I only remember two times Zoro met with Mihawk. First time, he wasn't wanting to die, but he was wanting to test himself against the man he aimed to kill/defeat eventually. Second time was during the time-skip where he was a guest of Mihawk then his student. -
@Fleet-Admiral:
Can Bellamy really continue alive after just a shameful life?
the only way his shameful life could continue would be … shamefully, thus welcome to the Barto Club!
He can be like the Mihawk of the Barto Club. Neither cares for his "bosses" or their agenda but still shows up and does what's required of him (in his own way of course)
-

I think that would be the ultimate insult to Bellamy, and something Luffy would never do.
Having that said, I hope Luffy beats the hell out of him, you know, for the sake of honor between two "warriors" or opponents, or whatever you wanna call them.
-
I really doubt luffy will hurt Bellamy, but I'm all for bellamy joining the barto club pirates, if the entire crew are all straw hat fan girls then bellamy would be a good addition, he's definitely stronger than Gambia
-

But they said he'd die if he took another hit, Luffy isn't about to kill someone he likes

If it was a lie, he wouldn't tell Luffy to fight him.
-
While I don't like Bartolomeo if Bellamy joins his crew I hope he'll be happy at least.
-
Bellamy is a man who (by his own admission) hitched his wagon to the wrong horse. He's been brutalised and belittled, he's lost his entire crew but he's ALWAYS stayed loyal to Doflamingo
He know's he's on death's door, he knows doflamingo is a scumbag who thinks nothing of him, but despite that he is unwilling to waver from his life's cause.
I can't imagine a more fitting end to his life, than him fighting and dying for Doflamingo on his own terms with luffy obliging as a mark of respect. Imagine a repeat of mock town, but this time Luffy is the one who bids Bellamy Goodbye,
I bet we get some asinine bullshit instead though
-
But they said he'd die if he took another hit, Luffy isn't about to kill someone he likes
What if the sadistic Doflamingo decides to kill Bellamy, in front of Luffy? How would Luffy feel not being able to save the dying Bellamy, while Doflamingo and Trebol laughs at him?
-

There is no need. He knows Coily is dumb enough to do what he does now, and it's much funnier.
-
Even though I don't see no reason for Bellamy to not to get Saitama'ed again, for this week I'm gonna believe and support Doula to be the one killing him while Luffy actually tries to save him, with Bella-Krilin died and Law-picoro unable to fight here comes the legendary super D.aiyan

They're the same character.
Zoro has always been smug since his very first appearance. Who hasn't acted smug before?
Either you like his character type or you don't.
He himself hasn't done much of anything to receive hateful criticism. He barely gets any screentime these days. -

Zorro for a majority of the series was battered and wounded. That added a struggle to his fights that he had to overcome. I like that he is acting more smug post TS. It makes me like him more for being confident in his two years of trading, but I still hope his battle with Pica gets some panel time and that it's a struggle for Zorro to win.

I think Zoro changed when he got his first bounty. And to a lesser extent when they enter Grand Line. Remember when used to laugh ?
-
So did Law actually lose that arm or is he going to "Room" it back onto him?

Even being battered and wounded, he still acted smug and defeated opponents with minimal amounts of hits while making badass one liners.
I don't recall one opponent that Zoro beat witth more than a few attacks even in his toughest fights. Kaku was defeated with, like, 2 real injuries and Daz Bones was defeated with one.Doflamingo in one arc has acted 10 times more smug than Zoro has over the course of the entire timeskip and gets nothing but praise for it.
The double standards people have here are hilarious. -
Zoro really needs a good intense challenge. Pica's just not cutting it.
A full fight against a formidable opponent would be nice.Btw, what the hell's wrong with Kin'emon? He could've been a big help, instead of just chilling with his friend.
-
I really hope Bellamy doesn't get the same treatment as Jaya he doesn't deserve that.
-

Yeah, not too long ago.

Lies, you want that regardless of Bellamy condition.
Dang it! You know me! He was my favourite character at one point.
I like Bellamy more tthan Law right now tbh.

i loved how doffy cut off his arm lol.a foreshadow that a bullet (gun) ends things bc luffy interupts him with gatling (as in gatling gun) bellamy cant give back the borrowed symbol if its tattoed on his chest. maybe he needs an x to replace it and he can be free. if he joins barto the x will make him fangirl. bellamy is a part of luffys past and barto is a fan of his past :]
-
Yeah, not too long ago.
Damn, I forget one word in each post.
What you linked is a party, of course they all laugh when that happens. I'd like to see more funny moments with Zoro making the jokes or laughing. It seems like everytime there's humor linked to him it's about his getting lost or his fighting with Sanji.
I love his moment with Bartolomeo, though, gotta admit it. -
To protect luffy? Sorry I didn't get the word right. LOL. Zoro did not want to step out of the blade, he was dying for himself.
I think he is referring to the Kuma incident when mentionning protecting Luffy.

All one-shotted.

All two-shotted.
Zoro has defeated all his PTS opponents within 1 or 2 attacks.

Random question what are the double standards?
It's like when AP hates Law for being cool, smug and not farting, but when anyone says that about Zoro it's double standarts and SH the best:ninja:
-
Did anybody else had feeling that Doflamingo on top of page looks a bit like he looked when he was young? I cant point what makes me feel like that but when I was reading chapter for first time I thought he looks more like a "brat Doflaming" than on any other page in chapters in present.

I prefer Dofla's quote in mangapanda version.
-
Well, after many chapters of Law stealing the stage, we finally can stop asking this…
-
Thinking about that almost undeniable theory with over 100 facts supporting it about Bellamy being Cora's son, now I'd like it to be truth, 'cause there is one certain person that loves killing the member of his own family just right there:ninja:, and he wants to die anyway.
-
I think he is referring to the Kuma incident when mentionning protecting Luffy.
Oh thanks

When you look back and compare the way Oda draws DD now compared to the first panels, you almost cant tell that its the same artist.

shows you just how much he has improved over the years

Doflamingo in one arc has acted 10 times more smug than Zoro has over the course of the entire timeskip and gets nothing but praise for it.
The double standards people have here are hilarious.Because we're not supposed to like Doflamingo in the same way we are Zoro.
Doffy's a villain. He kills people, tears apart families, destroys countries, and is in general a Really Bad Dude.
Zoro's a hero. He defeats bad guys, helps save the day, and is a Really Good Dude.
Doffy being a smug asshole only fortifies him being a villain and is supposed to make us want to he him get taken down even more. Him going through enemies like a fat kid through creampuffs shows that yeah, he's really menacing.
Zoro being a smug asshole fortifies his strength and confidence that he'll be able to win and is supposed to make us think he's a Cool Guy. Him decimating his opponents all the time makes it harder to stay invested in him (since it's not like he has much going for him in terms of character development)
I like Doffy as a character, but hate him as a person. He's a character I wanna see brutally defeated and maybe even dead if Oda's willing to go that far (since he's too far off the rails to fix with a cover arc even by OP villain standards). He's a really convincing villain. Way to go, Oda!
I'm apathetic towards Zoro as a character and as a person. He's badass and is always getting stronger (and he has cool fights, but since he can never lose because plot, it dramatically lowers the stakes and can be boring at times), but it feels like he's stagnated as a character (he went from generally happy to having a stick nearly constantly up his ass, and then mellowed out over the time skip, but that's pretty much it). Honestly, I think the problem is that Oda wrote him into a corner more than anything else.
-
No he was calling Luffy big.
When he said cage he wasnt referring to the birdcage. He was referring to the box he was in (a room).
I mean, Abdullah and jeet defeated a string clone. It can fight but defensively no.
I knew that already.
I was talking about this whole arc in general. When it started Doflamingo stated that previous warlords had fallen because they had underestimated Luffy.
-
Random question what are the double standards?
For example, calling out one character for something yet glorifying it in another.
Doflamingo
Crocodile
Akainu
Enel
Ace
Blackbeard
Kid
WiperAll of these guys are considered great by the people who complain to death about smug characters, yet these guys are super smug as well.
These same people claim that smug Sanji (Mr Prince) and smug Robin are somehow the prime versions of these characters.
If you're going to call out smug characters then you can at least be consistent with it instead of diverting these biases against certain characters like Lucci, right?
