reading the Dellinger is a fish or a fish DF user discussion made me think that the fishmen originally the first people with zoan DFs discovered in the blank century and people of Marie Jois exiled them out of fear (hence their settlement is just below it). For some reason the DF's power contradicted the sea power and their descendants were locked in that state and the fruit won't spawn. Some good guy named Joyboy promised to their leader to help them but something in the great unseen war killed him off. The first Decken was one of the people exiled yet rage quit to try became a pirate.

This belongs in the dumb prediction thread. Corazon does NOT resemble Bon Clay or Ivankov. Just because he wears face paint - and no not makeup as its not 'pretty style' but obvious face painting done in style of DC comics Joker (the Glasgow smile) and the band KISS (eye 'star').
Bon Clay and Ivankov wear make up …and wear odd clothing. Corazon's clothing is more like his brother's style than the two okama

I want Doflamingo and Luffy to have a super close match almost tie and then both get grabbed by Kaidou. It would make for an arc involving co-operation of the Straw-hats and Doflamingo pirates. Would be golden. Oh wait things that I would like to see happen is a different thread. Oh wait thats pretty much the same stuff here.

Won't know until we finally see a colour version but think both the Donguixote brothers have albinism. Rocinate just wears mime make up to make his paleness look deliberate. Dofla has ocular albinism making him super-light sensitive. Adding Roci's clumsiness I think there's a serious inbreeding problem with the Celestial Dragons.

It's already a common theory that Blackbeard will kill Shanks, but I think it might happen right after a Shanks vs Luffy fight. Basically after the two are tired out from going at it, Blackbeard will arrive and go for Shanks. Most likely Blackbeard will have seen the battle, and given his nature, decided to strike once both of them are tired out. This would give us a reason for Luffy to be there when Blackbeard kills Shanks, and probably also help justify the killing taking place with Luffy there to help Shanks in such a battle. That said, I still think Shanks will fight back. I can imagine him using his last reserves to help Luffy get away, telling Luffy about how he surpassed him, and probably some sort of speech about carrying on his (and possibly Roger's) will

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but i wonder if the symbol on Law and Doffy's Jolly Rodger is the Symbol of the D.

Firstly, they are the only two jolly rodgers that do not have the skull and crossbones. I think it's really revealing that Doffy crosses out the symbol, while Law does not.

We know that law know's about the D's, perhaps he know's enough to know what the symbol means. As a celestial dragon and brother to Cora-san I think it's likley Doffy knows all about the void century amd the D's.

As a D., and worshiper of Cora-san i think it's clear Law would support the D's cause, while Doffy would reject it as a celestial dragon(he would also be the only celestial dragon pirate). It would make sense that that symbol would represent D. somehow.

I have theory regarding the finale of One Piece. Luffy will take out Big Mom and Kaidou, claiming a spot as an emperor (but not professing the title himself); Blackbeard, will kill Shank's Crew, taking hold of his territory. Both will become the two emperors of the New World. With almost all competition gone, both will set out in search of One Piece. Blackbeard will be unable to find Raftel because he is not 'the chosen one'. Because he is the 'chosen one', Luffy and his crew alone will find Raftel and One Piece. While on Raftel, Luffy and co discover the true history of the Blank Century. As Luffy attained One Piece, he is now the official pirate king. Now, completely infuriated by the World Government's injustices, Luffy and his crew begin to plan a massive revolution against the World Government. They mobilize all of their allies, the revolutionaries, and defecting marine, and prepare for the final confrontation against the World Government. Hearing that Luffy has become pirate king, Blackbeard is heavily enraged that his dream has been crushed. Instead of letting his dream die, Blackbeard joins as a third, unrelated party in Luffy's assault against the World Government. In some way, Blackbeard attain Pluton as his ship. Luffy already has Poseidon on his side. And the World Government, I predict, will have Uranus. Through the combined forces of Luffy and his allies and the Blackbeards, the World Government falls. After the destruction of the World Government, the Blackbeard's confront Luffy to determine the ultimate fate of the One Piece World. If Blackbeard wins, he will rule the world with an iron fist of chaos; if Luffy wins a new, moral government will be set up in place of the former. This is a battle of chaos versus freedom, two sides of the same coin. Ultimately Luffy wins, possibly dies in the process, and a new world order is established. Yes, its fanfictiony, but in my eyes, it is the ideal way to end One Piece. I'd rather the final battle be about the two sides of freedom, than freedom versus its antithesis, Law.

Luffy will not beat Big Mom, but instead win her over.
The other Straw Hats will mostly do the job.
First, the Nami/ Lola friendship will finally come into play winning them a reprieve.
Next there's her Tea-Party. I think it's been a hint that before they left Momonosuke was playing tea party with the remaining Straw Hats.
Brook is always drinking tea and may provide the music.
I also think Mom's poor diet has given her terrible acid reflux.
Chopper, being a doctor will help cure her and Sanji cook delicious alternative food.

Then the Kidd alliance will attack.

What if the Gods in "God's natural enemy" aren't the Celestial Dragons but actually the gorousei. And they have powers from God fruits instead of Devil fruits.

Also, Raftel is hell as opposed to heaven, aka Mariejois…

Well would actually like a connection to the DFs.
And about the Ds… I have my theory that the D. aren't just "one family" but a whole ancient population.

That's why we have so many different D. families introduced. And what I find very interesting is that Roger and WB said about waiting for a certain peson (D.) and WB even stating that BB isn't the man Roger was waiting for.

Maybe Luffy heritage is the most important family of the D... Something like the former royality or whatever.

since the jpanese name of the devil frutis is akuma no mi, i don't think that the "d" stands for devil and is connected to them…even though oda did used some random english in the past,like the 3D2Y thing...

Devil's fruits come from Sea Devil. By that name he's hardly some ultimate evil and nobody ever mentioned him as some main evil of the series.
The word "akuma" (悪魔), while can be translated as "devil", also means "demon", "fiend" etc. A rather general term. And the referred Sea Devil is written as "akuma" as well.

So what we call "Devil's fruits" in Oda's mind can be "demon's fruits" or whatever, and actual Devil (written like Debiru in the manga) may stand for "D".

Bingo. We've got 10 more years of one piece, anything can happen. To use "we are 700+ chapters deep" as a reason that something new and profound won't be introduced is childish.

As much as I really want it to happen, Buggy D Clown. Buggy reveals that he has the "D" and that everyone was just saying his name wrong, just like Roger. Buggy becomes King of the Pirates. Buggy beats everyone.

Especially when you consider that important ending elements have already been introduced a long time ago (Ancient Weapons, Will of D., Celestial Dragons) and there are no hints. No one has ever talked about other power-inducing fruits, and we alreaky know so little about DFs.

Isn't the second one about a horcrux? They existed way before the sixth book, they just weren't explicitly named until then.

There was no reason to see more than a magical book in it. It's like the supposedly hommage of Ace with the tatoo. It's not foreshadowing. It's just there so you can be sure the author didn't pull that one out of his ass.

Yes the diary in the 2nd book turned out to be a horcrux in the 6th. Just as a normal DF could turn out to be a GF later on. I'm kind of arguing for argument sake here becuase i do not think this is going to happen, but the point is you can't really point to how much material we've already received as a reason something majorly out of the blue won't happen. Many writers don't always leave obvious hints, like "this is a thing….. but we won't tell you". Something can be introduced, but it's significance left unrevealed.

Pretty sure it's mentioned like multiple times here probably but was just wondering since the concept of D which stands for people who are enemies of the Gods got revealed, it means that they are "Devils" or demons or a generic term given to entities that oppose God. Could it somehow be linked to Devil fruits and their existence?! Do the Devil fruits have something to do with the "D"?

On the serious side, there is another edible in the OP world that can affect people = mushrooms

True its not like the DFs, most have temporary effects except the one that Jango ate did leave him with hypnosis permanently and have a "odd behavior" (in how the made one laugh or angry) feel but they do exist and suggest that there are other food items that can affect people that eat them very oddly

But I have to say that I believe Oda can still introduce new important stuff. For instance, the national treasure at Mariejois that, if discovered, could shake the world.

Well I figure a few more of those will appear by the end of the story. Some characters that were introduced may have a mythical zoan. Like Kaido, BM, that three eyed girl, some of Shanks' members, BB pirates, Revolutionaries, unkown Shichibukai, last admiral…

I expect at least 2-3 more by the end.

But yeah, at this point a new type of fruit is no more than a shot in the dark.
