I wonder why everyone is assuming that Corazon is the good sibling ?! Doffy was shown to be resentful of his father for taking their luxurious life style away from him, but why are we assuming Cora was different ? I'm foreseeing a twist, as all we know about Corazon is from what Law said, scratch that, only implied. We know he saved him, but we don't know how. Also, from what we saw this chapter, the guy abuses children, but everybody is writing that off, as just a quirk, or even that he had noble intentions in abusing them. Not to mention that Law himself is a well-known cold hearted killer. The first thing we heard from him was him wanting to compare kills with Drake. He might have standards when it comes to children, but he's still far from a saint.
So from what I gathered about the general opinion of Cora is that he's:
1. Protect the children by abusing them….to chase them away.
2. Was opposing to Doffy's plans.
3. He saved Law by healing him somehow. Probably through the use of the Op-Op No Mi.
4. He refused to sacrifice his life for Doffy, and as a result got murdered by him.
5. He somehow passed his fruit to Law, through inexplicable means., and screwed Doffy even further by doing so.....because he's a good guy.
My problem with this is that, first I can't believe that Cora, a very high ranking executive in Doffy's crew doesn't have an idea about what his brother was planning. Second, we saw from the chapter that the Doffy crew already considered each other to be family members, so Doffy not only hiding his intentions from his actual brother, but also demanding that he sacrifices himself for him AND murdering him afterward seems very out of character for him. Third, the cause for his muteness can't be Doffy killing their dad, because if that was the case, why would Cora stick by the side of his brother who traumatized him ? The guy even mimics Doffy's fashion style, so it seems to me that he at least admired his brother. Finally, I just can't see the two brothers having a bad relationship, with Doffy mentioning how greatly he was depressed 13 years ago, so for a guy, who after losing everything, came to value all of his subordinates as family members, to kill his last remaining actual family member, just because he's that evil seems out of character. I mean Doffy is willing to forgive A LOT of his family's screw-ups, so Cora had to have screwed something major, or what actually happened differs from what Law told us.
Of course all of this is just my opinion based on what I interpreted from the story. I can easily see Cora being a good guy all along, who infiltrated Doffy's crew to screw him up after killing their father, although I don't see why Cora would be any less angry with his dad than Doffy. So I'm honestly hoping for a good resolution to this arc and to the whole Donquixote Family business. Fingers crossed for Oda to actually surprise us with something different (that makes sense) this time around.
