Let me tell you something, I'm the only one thinking that Luffy will use Law sword to fight Doflamingo imbuing Haki into the sword?????????? After seeing the volume 75 cover, it was like, okey, Gol D Roger and all the big badass can use weapons and can fight barehanded if Luffy wants to be like them or compare to them in term of power he should have learned some weapon fight with Rayleigh not only Haki.
Chapter 760: The Same Stakes

A) It's the fault of bloody citizens, and WG. Which people seem to forgot, are not the same as the Marines.
B) How can he be putting a facade if they want to go after Doflamingo? He is acting against them, and not doing what they want to do. There is not a once an indication that he as a Marine Admiral is supposed to act this way.
A) lol i'm not gonna answer that
B) read my post again , the marines want to go after DD by themselves it's their duty , but fugitora looking at the whole situation figures out that they can't be the heroes for the said reasons , but he can't tell them to sit down and cheer for luffy so he puts a facade -

That would be like, the worst thing ever!!!!

Of course you wont. That would force you to use logic and destroy your perfectly contrived argument.

I fail to see how it is marines fault… or for that matter, why they can't be heroes, but Luffy can.
-

i am just not used to answering obvious traps , once i answer that i'll be lost in your never ending arguments
nevertheless here we go , marines are the WG's sea force they work under their command even if you (as a marine expert) don't think they are the same normal people obviously doI fail to see how it is marines fault… or for that matter, why they can't be heroes, but Luffy can.
because they're fuckin bad people
-
I fail to see how it is marines fault… or for that matter, why they can't be heroes, but Luffy can.
Because Luffy is a pirate and doesn't answer to anyone but himself, while even a Admiral like Fujitora has higher ups he has to listen to, especially since Dofla is a Shishi + Tenryu so all Fuji can do is put his hope on a third party that will do the thing he wants to do himself, but can't… which is defeat Doflamingo and save the country
-
-
So, Law is worth 440 billion B ?
-
i saw it coming but couldn't escape ! i guess CoO is really useless
-
Changing your character in the middle of it reeks of lazy writing.
Seriously. Why is he betting everything on Luffy? Was he betting on him from the begining? If so, why did he order Marines after him? Was he not betting on him in the begining? Then why did he changed his mind?
Sometimes it's not so good writing. I guess more often it's bad reading. It seems you selectively look and pick only what support your ideas discarding or not seeing the rest. With that ability you should be able to understand at least fuji's logic.

And now… you Duel!! Good luck challenger.
-
That being said, Law is badly wounded, Luffy is down, is Dofy jut going to immobilize Luffy as he did with Sanji? If that be the case, erm, I cannot see how Luffy's going to escape, not just Luffy, if Dofy get's you, how exactly can one escape? Thoughts?
if law shambles luffy with bellamy, bellamy would be tied and luffy parasited?

This isn't going to happen.
For so many reasons.

That would be kinda cool but it's not Luffy's style. Also, if Luffy with sword is stronger, then he should walk around with Sword all the time, but he won't, that's Zoro's and Brook's style, he won't change his whole fighting style to "LOL IM GONNA FIGHT WITH SWORDS YOLO". He can use it for lols and just to try new thing like back in Thriller Bark, but not for long and it would be really weird… so yeah.
-

Because of affiliation? Oh my god… you are a terrible person if you actually believe that.
-
i saw it coming but couldn't escape ! i guess CoO is really useless
Come to think of it, won't CoO be kinda useless when everyone will have it? They should dodge more often i guess… but in the end it will be almost like fight between two non CoO users? Kinda same with CoO? Except "his haki is stronger he overpowered him!" "his haki is too weak, he won't damage him!". Kinda like... he's too strong, he's too weak to do something. Basically what Im saying is haki won't matter that much, except "i can now hit logias lol". Maybe CoO will be bigger deal for guys like Usopp or in matches when only one of guys got CoO/CoA, but fight between two CoA users and two CoO users will be basically the same right?
-

A) He is consider a traitor to the Tenryubito, for crying out loud. No-one would raise a finger in his defense.
B) TASHIGI took away Crocodile's title. TASHIGI! I refuse to believe that Fujitora, a fucking marine admiral, has less power then bloody Tashigi.
Also, that stands to contrary to what has been in the manga itself, where two VA's are arguing in favor of taking down Doflamingo. One assumes that if you got to third highest rank you have at least some ability to know your own goverments and organisation regulations.
-
I understand why people didn't enjoy the prelude of Doflamingo's backstory (at first, I felt it was underwhelming too, to be honest), but here me out, there is a lot more substance to it. Of course, we can view Doflamingo as a narcissistic, smug, and entitled arse face from what we know, but tell me, if you were ripped away from such a prestigious life during child hood, would you act much different? If you were used to slaves and under the false notion that you were innately superior to everyone from day one, would you not be wholly disturbed when all that was taken away from you? Before you come to the false conclusion that Doflamingo's story is over, don't forget that we don't understand the root of Doffy's love for his crew; we don't fully understand why Doflamingo's father decided to leave the Celestial Dragons. Come on naysayers, at least wait to we get Doffy's full backstory before you judge it as a whole; then you can dog on it however you want.
-

I can't wait.

We've know that Jinbe has known about the alliance for 60 chapters now.
The panel of Jinbe seeing the news in chapter 700 is exactly this moment we are seeing now in his cover story. So that would mean it's fairly early in the day during Jinbe's story and he could already be on his way to help out the Straw Hats. If that is what he's intending to do.
GOD I LOVE JINBE!
I love him as well… Ever since Impel Down <3
-
"LOL IM GONNA FIGHT WITH SWORDS YOLO"
Funnily enough, that is exactly how he does it usually.
-
Dofla's flashback has just started, we'll know more about his past in next chapters. Don't forget the WG let him leave Warlord Title just for fun. So Dofla still has some family-related power and that means his relationship with Celestial Dragons is more complicated than it seems…

You think this guy trusts them?
http://www.mangapanda.com/103-49210-7/one-piece/chapter-579.html
Of course he doesn't trust them, but I don't think he ever said it out loud. Besides there is a difference between disliking something and not considering it useful. Even Sengoku preferred having the Shichibukai on government's good side, even tough he knew they weren't to be trusted.
Tough if you ask me, Sakazuki would probably rather get rid of them and leave defending Justice to the Marines.
-

I was kinda against Jinbei as new nakama, since i found him boring. But now Im more fond of him. The fact that he's powerhouse who fought for days with Ace, survived Akainu attack and is overall "boss" is cool. Another powerfull SH and making SH even more fearfull is a great feeling. Also he'd be great asset as not only great swimmer but someone who is even more water person than land one :P He can help DF users and whole crew/ship in bad weather situations etc. He is also wise and knowledgeble, so that's a plus too. I guess he's kinda like Robin in departement of seriousness and he might as well also cheer up and loose up a bit :P
That might be shallow but I think that making SH more powerfull is main plus for me for Jinbe's joining.

Bellamy isnt parasited. What dont people get.
Hand control, parasite are 2 diff things

Oh, God no. Will disappoint if this happens…
What I am a little confused about is that if DD's family was exiled for being traitors... why was he able to manipulate the WG so much with no reciprocation? I am excited to learn more.

So much is kinda subjective there…

Come to think of it… do you guys think that Luffy can imbue Haki into Sword or any other object?
I mean, sure he knows the basic he can use haki on his hands freely, but is imbuing objects with haki much harder or it's easy once you know how to use it.

He should imbue his hat with Hardening and throw it around like Kung Lao!
Or that fat asian dude from Goldfinger.

Am I the only one who felt the saturday morning cartoon-villain vibe when Dofla began talking about his past? Just uninterrupted exposition that he shares with his enemies? I dont think that is a very natural way to handle a fight, even if you felt insulted by their trespassing.

I couldn't probably be more precise than @_Hayato did here http://files.arlongpark.net/showthread.php?t=41581&page=18&p=3298143&viewfull=1#post3298143 3 chapters ago.
You can easily integrate the missing part of the post with the actions fuji did in the latter chapters. -
Flashback, guess DD for nakama :ninja:
Doflamingo's kicks are the best, he could teach sanji a thing or two… Did his CoA kick go past luffys CoA arm or just avoid it completely?
-

As well as the fact that it ouright ignores many of Fuji scenes to make it all look logical.

maybe i don't understand and maybe i missed something too, but how can you tell for sure? i went back and reread the chapter and found no evidence for both theories, i still believe he's parasited tho

Are we to assume that Viola made the citizens halt their attack and then Riku told them all the truth? I feel like we're missing a scene and some conversation between Sabo and Fuji.
So, accepting that Fuji's true intentions are a little obfuscated at this point, what does he gain by betting on Luffy? I have an idea in my head but I need to reread a few chapters, so if anyone has a clearer picture please shed some light.
-

Yeah that was really wierd. Last time we saw them, the citizens were binding them with ropes.

It's Smoker vs Croc all over again. It's better to have a pirate beat up another pirate.

Better? Better how?
It's nonsense, it's what it is.

No, we are to assume they saw the errors of their ways.
I'm uncertain what truth could Riku told them at that point.

Nothing, actually.
Maybe, if his words are to be believed, maybe lack of open war between three thousands marines and two thousands Doffy's guys. Maybe.

A 10 or so pages since my last visit to this thread and I still read posts whining about Doflamingo's half-page backstory.
Come the fuck on. You can't seriously think this is all there is to his flashback.

…Show some respect.

Both Law and Luffy were immobilized, so it was the best time for that really.
-

I would say that the best time was when they were immobilized in the water and about to be killed.
-
Another thing, I remembered Dofla's speech. People are shaped by their environments. It's like the realism with Hody. That's actually kind of fascinating. Remember, he was a child and had all of that luxury taken away from him, so it must've been quite a shock and then he had a reaction like that. It's different, but now I kinda look forward to that being explored.
THIS! A hundred times this!
People need to realise he was just an innocent impressionable kid who knew no better.
It's also just the beginning of his flashback
-
One thing I will be interested to see in further flashbacks is how the Dofla from this one (wants slaves, wants to shoot a commoner for talking to him) stacks up against the current day one and the loyalty he shows his underlings. It was a point in this episode Dofla broke off attacking Luffy to rescue Trebol.
Has it all been an act? Will Dofla break and have a screaming "You're all shit" moment like Caesar did during Punk Hazard? Or is it something that happened despite his earlier attitudes?
