Chapter 759: Secret Plan
-
-
Brook, for starters.
Ace was beaten at his second fight, and technicaly it is Sabo's second fight…
I can come with more, but I would need to think a little bit.
You can think all you want but Sabo will still hold Fuji up till the end of this arc or till somebody stronger that Sabo shows up and still be able to run/jump/hugh, but nobody else will appear though
-
And it would Even make his speech absolutely pointless
-
I too think he should be holding Fujitora long enough. After all he isn't empowering him just buzzing so he won't have the time to interrupt Luffy's fight. He might need to get his ass saved by someone maybe when all is over?
-
he has a little dirt in his face, nothing that looks like he loses…
-
It's not a win-lose situation though. Just holding on… Sabo, IMHO, should be capable of that.
-
Sabo vs Issho shouldn't be that long which also means we're really close to the end of this arc.
-
Luffy will still fight alone against him. We have to remember this:

I certainly hope so, I just want to see what else he learned from Rayleigh.
-

Sabo is basically stalling and we don't even know if Fujitora really wants to win.
-

Well, Fujitora so far has been untouchable. Sabo has taken a few hits, however.
He might not lose, but it's clear that Fuji is superior.

She's not interested in anything that isn't food.

Yeah but the reaction would have been completly different if it were important Parts of there Ships/armada

What did Doffy mean by "vessel"?!

If he was rescued I think it would be by a group, a grab and retreat, or perhaps by pleading with Fuji. I don't know of any single person on the island that could forcefully stop Fuji and save Sabo. Unless Dragon shows up… but that's unlikely. Yes, I think that Dragon is at least as strong as Fuji.
-
@Myu:
He probably meant more than just clashing their swords.
I don't think Red Hawk falls low on Luffy's arsenal strength wise. As far as one hit punches goes it might even be on top unless there is a bigger body-penetrating Gear 3rd shot.
Gear second + Gear third Gomu gomu no, jet elephant red hawk gattling gun.

Sabo is right under Admiral level. Sabo hasnt used named moves yet so we shall wait.
Sabo is no where near his prime. His DF training + Haki and martial art training will bring him to Admiral level easily, if not slightly stronger (way down the track). Dragon will still be pverall more powerful, he seems to be the teacher etc. Dragon is probably Yonkou level judgingfrom Sabos future prime time
-
Since I mentioned one punch gattlings doesn't count and we don't know if there are red hawks on bigger scales. Even so in that situation Luffy, I guess, didn't have the room nor the convenience situation demanded to use elephant sized attacks.

Yeah but the reaction would have been completly different if it were important Parts of there Ships/armada
You are making assumptions.
-
-
I did an assumption once, I still feel awkward about it.
Everybody makes them,. You just have to realize they aren't facts.
-
dofla's unconcious body flying from the palace surely will stop fujitora and sabo's fight. hell, it'll stop all the fights country wide.
-

But wouldn't that kind of be a rehash of Crocodile's defeat? It probably wouldn't be as good the second time, even if it has been a few hundred chapters since it happened.
-

No it won't. Because Bellamy will use his last ounce of strength to spring Doflamingo out of Dressrossa. His undying loyalty and stubbornness will pay off. IMO

I don't think anything will really stop the fighting until Birdcage disappears.
-
I don't think anything will really stop the fighting until Birdcage disappears.
Doflamingo will be publically defeated and we'll get scenes of crying parasited-people regaining control just in time to spare family and friends and civilians or marines staring up at the dissolving Birdcage in amazement. King Riku or Viola will give a speech about rebuilding the country. Bonus points for mentions of freedom from tyrrany and socialist undertones.

A bit of a shiver went down my spine when Oda showed us that panel again when Bellamy talks about "the big waves that are about to engulf us all"
That moment was so big for me when it happened, I think around Chapter 710 or something. It was just so foreboding for him to talk about that, like something huge we don't know yet is about to happen. Even though Bellamy isobsessed with Doffy, I got the vibe that him wanting to be on Doffy's ship so badly wasn't just because he idolized him, but partly because he's so afraid of those "giant waves" and getting on Doffy's boat will help him escape them.
Oda's clearly building up to something with Bellamy's obsession, but I'm hoping the payoff will be more than just Bellamy realizing Doffy's a douche and he doesn't have to fawn over him so much. Maybe something like him realizing he has to take his life and future into his own hands, instead of single mindedly pursuing Doffy. That would tie into the future event he seems to be alluding to, and I'm glad Oda put that panel again, since it reiterates that.
-

many people already said that dressrosa is like alabasta v.2. they're pretty similar so maybe the ending will be similar too. i kinda hope for dofla to escape just so that he got whacked by angry kaidou later though. or maybe both, dofla got KO'ed but then someone (maybe trebol) will escape carrying dofla's unconcious body (just like absalom and the doctor did to moria)
I don't think anything will really stop the fighting until Birdcage disappears.
well, if dofla is KO'ed the birdcage will most likely disappear and people will be freed from the parasite.

Can somebody point the chapter (and page) where Fujitora was shown (or stated) to have fought with Law during this Dressrosa arc EXCEPT for these scenes listed below:
- sending a giant meteor at BOTH Dofla and Law at the same time (in Green Bit)
- pinning Law down with his gravity and sword
- sending a meteor at Sunny (while Fuji was eating noodles in marine battleship)
The reason is, unless I might have missed something, Fuji NEVER fought Law (it was Dofla doing the fighting against Law), you can't even call those 3 I listed as "fighting" per se between Fuji and Law.

Technicaly there is page when some explosions are shown and Dofla calls Fuji out on being ruthless, during Green Bit fight. But yeah, disregarding that one, nope.

In the Background You can See some Meteors Lying around

See, another thing he inherited from Ace… :ninja:

He was playing Run or Meteorite, it's a classic one in Dressrosa, everyone knows how to play it.

Sorry i'm Not from there. i have Never Heard of this game. Could you explain the rules to me?

mmhh why no one ever gets my sarcasms :(

Please turn your Marine mode off when addressing this part of the arc cuz you cannot possibly expect Fujitora to defeat Sabo and then go pin down everybody else on dressrosa and arrest them all, so we can have no manga or Dragon shows up to wipe Oda's ass

ok thanks.

thanks. I just noticed the background now.

Dofla doesn't want to play that game too (at least not in a surprise forced participation capacity) XD

I think Sabo's main purpose now (from Oda's point of view) is to hold off Fuji so the SH can avoid facing an admiral head-on right now this early in their (SH's) New World adventure/journey.
I personally believe that while the SH have not been shown vulnerable since the time skip (which also shows/empahsizes their training), they are still not ready to face an admiral yet.

I don't have my Marine Mode on for now. I simply do not believe that this amount of foreshadowing is a red herring.
-
Sabo vs Issho shouldn't be that long which also means we're really close to the end of this arc.
Well fights of some really strong characters like Admirals were very very long as it took 10 days for one of Admirals to win with another.
Sabo vs Fujitora might be very well quite a lot longer than it is right now.
Also I dont think we are close to end of that arc, somehow we didnt even gotten final match ups for Doflamingo family members, Dwarf princess is still far from being rescued and there is plenty of things going on atm. -

so you assume that a lot of what happened with ace will happen with sabo again in a reincarnation manner
well looking at how ace stopped smoker in alabasta from interrupting luffy's fight with the main antagonist
and sabo facing fugitora in dressrosa for the same exact purpose and counting in the major similarities between the two arcs
the foreshadowing is heavy on "sabo stopping fugitora"'s favor -

The difference here is that you guys believe this arc is going to be a rehash of Alabasta formula.
I believe it's going to be a subversion of it.

ah i see , that would actually be kind of cool
to see the marines this time being the ones hauling ass after the arc is finished
i like that subversion :ninja: -

I do love when you are being deliberatly annoyingly ignorant just to try and piss me off…

Where the hell is Burgess?

Where the hell is Burgess?
Being incredibly succesful at doing something, as Blackbeard Pirates tend to do when not on panel.
It's a curse they have to live with.

i'm not , just saying that if sabo do manage to stop fugitora , the marines will be in a really tight spot
fugitora would be standing alone against all these pirates
unless a wild green bull appears out of nowhere -
What did Doffy mean by "vessel"?!
.
Do you read Naruto? Doffla is obviously Orochimaru in disguise. Law was his Sasuke's.
…
joking aside, i think that was mistranslation :P

unless a wild green bull appears out of nowhereConsider: Almost every noteworthy person has an opponent.
When they will defeat them, none of them will be in state allowing them to stop Fujitora.
And, more importantly, nothing shows that Sabo can really stop Fujitora, in the sense, keep him in that exact spot.

well he is already stopping him lol
Almost every noteworthy person has an opponent
that applies to fugitora too
-

Fujitora seems content to battle him for the time being, but he ain't the one looking pressured.
I'm not talking about beating Sabo, but rather simple evasion.
And even then, why can't' Sabo fall?
-
Where the hell is Burgess?
Probably went home. Mission failed, nothin' else to do. Alternatively he could capture Sabo and bring him back to Blackbeard for devil fruit extraction, but with an Admiral here and there and Sabo being no pushover, he probably called it quits.
