The similarity I see is between laws face and Barto like the way there eye brows are drawn, also.

Oh!, I Forget about Barto cut at the begining of the scene XD
–--
Edit: after rewatching the lighting scene in #637, I finally noticed that the style of drawing the blue fire look close the effects in #637 scene -
"Somebody :ninja:" yesterday ask me to check some scenes in Toriko #85 and #95 (Takeshi Nishino was credit as KA in both episodes) and those scenes are:
1-
http://sakuga.yshi.org/post/show/8054
2-
http://sakuga.yshi.org/post/show/8056
http://sakuga.yshi.org/post/show/8055You can notice that the timing of the first cut in http://sakuga.yshi.org/post/show/7966 is so close to the timing of the first cut in http://sakuga.yshi.org/post/show/8056/artist_unknown-effects-fighting-smoke-toriko
BTW, Takeshi Nishino was also in the credit of both Toriko #65 and #75 and I will check both of them later.
-
Yep, I was right. Mr. Nishino just confirmed to me his scene from #656!
-
Takeshi Nishino confirmed that he did lighting scene in #650، fighting scene in #637, and Toriko #95 scene
-
Takeshi Nishino conformed that he did lighting scene in #650، fighting scene in #637, and Toriko #95 scene
I didn't ask him about the Toriko scene.
Anyway, another strike!!! Now…WTF did Takara do? lol
Also, might be easier to figure out Sakiyama's scene now. I'm thinking Luffy Vs. Rebecca.
Edit: didn't notice your tweet to him...lol, he answered everything! How nice of him.
Now, I will wait a while before asking him about his Film Z scene.

I agree with you, before 2 month I uploaded this scene to the booru but it was deleted :(. However, It was really barely animated :(
-
Yeah, I've seen similar movements in his other works.
-
Does anyone know where Animator's Corner from twitter gets all of the episode staff information? I was thinking about trying to pick some KA out for a few Hunter x Hunter episodes but I don't know where to find any of the right info.

from ending's credit, this guy can read the Kanji
-
Damn, I was hoping there was some site I could go to.
Thanks for the answer!

There is also Seesaawiki, a Japanese site where credits are uploaded.

@Yuugi's:

Sadly they don't care about One Piece, and sometime they take a long time until they update the credit for some shows
-
So Barto is officially Hancock 2.0.
-
Thanks doktor! These settei are really great! They've put a lot more pre-production into this arc than the previous. Good Dressrosa map reference for those watching the anime or reading the manga right now.
Maynard, Gambia, it was nice knowing you.
-
Man, I always knew Luffy was short, but DAMN is he short…
-
He's not actually that short (I should know since I'm also his height), he's just constantly surrounded by guys of freaky XBox-huge proportions.
Though I am a little surprised to see that even Rebecca seems to be taller than him, even taking into account the fact that she's wearing heels.
-
Crossword is short! Crossword is short! Crossword is short!
Totally worth it!
-
If I remember right, Rebecca is taller than Luffy during their first meeting.
Viola seem to be the same height with Law ? I thought she was shorter than Sanji. Sanji is 180cm while Law is 190cm. Weird. -

Figures. I guess Law look pretty short there. He's at least 15cm taller than Luffy.
My crack theory is the the gravitational pull in Grand line is causing some of the characters to be so freakishly tall.lol

your welcome, the dressrosa settei are amazing!
-
Is it just me, or does Rebecca look to have a skull for the face.
-

it's seems that we will not see an episode that supervised by Hisada any time soon :(
-
One Piece: 3D2Y had one hundred key animators, ten animation supervisors, and one chief animation supervisor. Director Itou Naoyuki had to do key animation himself. This is what we get for our short schedules, Toei.
-
I'm glad it was (presumably) better planned out than Episode of Merry though (nothing really stood out as badly as it did there). I wonder if anything will get changed on the BD this time?
-
Not One Piece-related, but I do have a question that I'm wondering if anyone who's more familiar with the industry can answer: what exactly happened to Yoshimichi Kameda? He was virtually a de facto bones employee while Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was airing and shortly afterward, but after being the animation director for the cutscenes of the Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright video game (which I'm playing right now, hence the question) at the end of 2012 it seems to me like he's dropped off the face of the earth. Maybe I'm watching the wrong shows, but as far as I know his only work since then seems to be the ending of the Gargantia anime. It just feels like a far cry from his earlier prolificness.

I'm pretty sure Kameda is a freelancer, so he can work where he likes, but he does mostly work with Bones. Anyhoo, he has not been around lately. I believe he directed a short for Anime Mirai and he also worked on last night's episode of Space Dandy. He seems to be working on projects will longer production schedule lately. I do know he did a few cuts for an episode of Hajime no Ippo: Rising, but he definitely hasn't done anything as great as his work on Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Fullmetal Alchemist. He has done a few live discussions lately, too. I have a live stream downloaded he did with Kurita Shin'ichi and some other animators where they geek over Kanada Yoshinori.
-
Damn, Takeshi Morita's part in the new special was really good.
-
Wow, what a special. Absoulutely Fantastic.
Yuki Hayshi did the best scene, IMO.
Still researching who did what, but I think Shintani did some parts in the opening. Hayashi the Luffy Vs world towards the end, very dynamic animation.
Note: These are my guesses for now, nothing is confirmed so far.
Hiroki Morimune: The first 2 minutes of action.
Naohiro Shintani: Scene starts from Luffy, Inazuma, & Iva scene until freeing Ace. -

I think this is done by Hamano
I agree with Murad about first 2 minutes
-
Im watchin Enies Lobby. Is that like the highlight of animation for this series or does it keep gettin better?
-
A few more talented animators worked on Thriller Bark and Shabaody. After those arcs things begin to deteriorate.
-

I am confident this is Yuki Hayashi. Only she is capable of such realistic movements.
I think Hamano might be responsible for the finisher, but I'm not really sure. It's just a guess.

true, Hamano still cannot deliver scenes with realistic level like this, I still have many things to learn
+
Why you still use "she" with Hayashi XD ؟! -
It's a unisex name. I was mistaken too. For the longest time I just went with the general assumption of "Yuuki = male, Yuki = female" but plugging in the kanji for Hayashi's first name into Google Images only gives pictures of men so I guess he's a he after all.

yup, Yuki is an unisex name, but Yuki Hayashi is a male.
There was a TV channel that went to Toei Anim. to recording the process of producing 1st Ksgiga ONA. Rie and Hayashi appeared in that recording -

Theres a big boost in animtion during thriller bark right the way throught soabondy, amazon lilly, impel down, marine ford but ends half way fismen island.
I blame filmz for that.
-
Punk Hazard and Dressrosa have picked up from Fishman Island's horrible animation, but I'd say the highlight was definitely Thriller Bark and Sabaody, but then after that the animation kept getting inconsistent with 1 or 2 scenes per episode looking good while the rest wasnt.
Except the Post - War arc and Return to Sabaody. Pretty flawless animation and art throughout both.
-
@Galaxy:

True that. I'd say the post-war episodes, especially the flashback, were the most consistent period in recent years.

Awesome, I guess he's a flash animator? His final drawings are really rich, especially Luffy's chest and torso muscles.

from his work in Tumblr account, I can say that he is a flash animator or at least, he is a tablet user

Conan just Tweeted this, so I figured I'd post it here given this is the first photo I've ever seen of Shida.
I guess this is from 2009, given Shida has the Cure Passion models on his desk.

Interesting stuff, guys.
