Pic of the day. Until now, you were only able to choose from four, or sometimes five or six colors for each character. This time, though, all characters have eight colors to choose from! The first four color schemes for Samus are based off her Varia Suit, Fusion Suit, Gravity Suit from Super Metroid, and the Dark Suit.

…And here she is in the color schemes of the Gravity Suit from Metroid Prime, Green Samus (a regular in the Smash series), the Light Suit, and Dark Samus. A total of eight colors.

You can choose between four male and four female Villagers to play with. The designs for their faces and clothes are different. And here are the four Villagers we haven't shown you yet.

Nice to see that the green coloration for Samus will be coming back, as that's the color I've always gone with (obviously). The Dark Samus coloration also looks amazing.

Well if you add the rumoured 4 characters to the leaked roster and fill it out there is still space left for 1. Could be mii fighters if customization is on or maybe wolf isn't actually cut but just was not unlocked

I'm curious about these 8 choices. So if Villager gets 4 male and 4 female, then it must apply the same to both Robin and Wii Fit Trainer (changing the hairstyles or hair color of Robin would be awesome). For Wario, wouldn't it mean he gets 4 biker suits and 4 plumber suits? For ZSS, are the top/shorts combo just two of the 8, or is it a 4-4 split between her zero suit and that combo?

EDIT: Also I realized something. The 3DS uses outlines for team battles, so it's not like every character needs/will get a red/blue/green costume. Perhaps the outlines are applied in the Wii U version too?

I don't think it is even split for all. For example i see 6 of little macs costumes being his different colours for each league from the games and then his wire frame and pink sweatsuit being the last 2. I think that will be the same for ZSS.

As for the other DP and Dr. M they were alt. costumes made into full characters

Of course, it doesn't mean ALL of it is true, but as it stands, it's the new Gematsu until proven otherwise because none of it's been disproven and every passing day adds additional verification. (Shulk was nailed down perfectly). Not to mention the leaker seems to have a positive reputation.

Unless my friend is pulling my leg, there's some pretty crazy crap left to be revealed.

-Snake, Lucas, Ice Climbers (Why), and Wolf are cut (Heavily suspected)
-Doctor Mario is back as a clone (Effectively confirmed)
-Dark Pit is a newcomer as a clone (Effectively confirmed)
-Each character gets 8 alternate costumes, whether they be pallet swaps or new costumes. (Confirmed)
-Alph appears as 4 of Olimar's costumes, while the other 4 are Olimar's.
-Shulk will be playable with Gaur Plains as his stage, his neutral B changes his Monado mode which essentially makes him dish more damage and take more, or do less damage, and take less. (Confirmed)
-Bowser Jr appears as a new comer and allegedly fights from a mario kart... has no alt colors, but instead has the 7 koopalings as alts. (Effectively confirmed)
-Duck Hunt is in... from what I've been told it's the duck hunt dog fighting with ducks on his back who assist for certain attacks... (Effectively confirmed)

note* The kart sounds more like the koopa clown car to me as I read it.

Now I'm not even sure from this stuff so take it with a grain of salt, but my friend recently quit as a tester due to family reasons, so if he decided he no longer cares what leaks, I could see why he'd tell me.
He was also unclear to me as to if that is the rest of the roster so also be wary.

The way I see it, unless this leaker had the ESRB build several weeks in advance, they would have no way of knowing that the leak would be lacking characters, so I kind of doubt they would pepper in fakes to throw off the scent.

The top part wasn't part of the original leak. I think that was just speculation. Only the part starting at "so I got more info" was part of the leak

Got told at GameStop when I preordered the wiiu edition there's a bundle for the game at will be 99.00 , I think it's both games but no info is out yet since it appeared today

Edit:Ok..the website says its a controller, the GameCube accessory and the game…awesome. Definitely switching my preorder to this one

Nah I definitely want to try out the Gamepad, maybe even sink my money into a Pro Controller, or hell, use Wiimote/Nunchuk again if it's allowed, and it probably will be, since the Gamecube set-up gets its third go.

If nothing else, it's a sweet Smash controller than can hopefully be used for N64 and GCN virtual console titles….whenever they come.

Ditto. I definitely intend to at least give the gamepad a shot.

The Gamecube controller may end up being my default by the time I really get into the game, but when Brawl came out, I at least tried every new controller method, so I'll be giving the new ones (Gamepad, Pro Controller) a shot this time around too.
