I had a dream that I got to playtest Smash and learned the roster. It was very hard not to reveal the roster to you guys.
In hindsight, the roster made no fucking sense at all.
Who was in it?

Pokemon Trainer without Pokemon (and buff for some reason) and Scooby-Doo were the ones that jump out at me.

Ok, time to "gloat", in order to make the universe punish me or something.
The fact that there hasn't been any more data or pictures of the leak, other than the starting set, plus the fact that one of them backed down.
If it was real, by now we would have gotten more pics than the ugly menues.

If it was real, by now we would have gotten more pics than the ugly menues.
I don't believe fully in the leak (and it having stupid stuff makes me almost expect it to actually be disappointingly true … ) but no more images appearing doesn't help or harm it in any way.
If someone did leak information they would have a stream of it going on and on, since that would just make it easier for them to be detected and for the might of nintendo ninjas to come down and take action, not to mention whoever got the info possibly getting fired.
Actually, I would say if more information had popped up from the same person, then it'd most certainly probably be bullshit and someone doing it for attention.On a semi-unrelated note ... we're almost there in terms of info! Three weeks and the game is out in japan. And we could have a newcomer vid in any of those if Sakurai still has some in store for us.

As far as leaks go, my approach for them tends to be that there needs to be a low probability of making a type I error, or "saying something is there when there really isn't." The leaks are made more convincingly than other leaks, sure, but there's just too much doubt and stuff that makes me think otherwise with much more than a shadow of a doubt that I won't put any stock into it

That's so weird! I dreamed that somehow my step-mother got Smash on the Wii U for her son, even before it was out, and I played with him to help him unlock the characters. I wanted to learn the roster and post images, but I woke up before I could… :blink: And the roster made no sense at all in my dream either.

I've had plenty of Smash dreams but troll brain wakes up before I get to look at the cast.
The one I remember the most is when I had the one where Ganondorf had a float added. Like Mewtwo's in Project M, and his animation was like when he floats around in Ocarina.
It was extremely disappointing because then I realized that's actually an awesome as fuck idea that probably won't actually happen.It started:

In return, your rewards will get better and more abundant. The best way to earn gold fast is to win Classic battles on higher intensity.
In Classic mode, you can choose your next challenge on the route map. Looks like Master Hand is waiting at the end, but perhaps something might change if you raise the intensity…?!

Ow it looks really good. Still hoping that there's no duck hunt dog, that's just atrocious.
The whole dark pit thing doesn't make too much sense too, given that there's really little to differentiate him and pit (visually and it's confusing for non-kid icarus players, its way different than lucina/marth and fox/wolf/falco). Oh well at least bowser jr looks ok?

Now the question is whether the leaked roster is final or not. The CSS can welcome 5 more characters but why would they show only a part of the roster to the ESRB team ?
Also I don't believe Ridley is in (despite the fact that he's my most wanted unconfirmed newcomer), there is now way you can add Ridley to the roster without messing with the whole CSS (the second row feels complete and adding Ridley would split some franchises into two rows). -

Nah, i always thought he was a shoo-in as an alternate, but to me (a non-KI player, hopefully to change soon) he just looks like pit in black. Which is different than the other clones since they look different than their mains, so its confusing. Also the palutena video with the dark pit teaser seems to indicate more that he doesn't have a bigger role in this game.
Most likely it's a review copy i suppose. Through given the past refutations of it being a ESRB copy… this seems weird too. Oh well time to enjoy what we got!

Only thing I'm disappointed in is stages. They look bare and hardly any. I'm hoping there is more to that because the stage choice is small and lots of returning compared to new :/.
If you play uprising you'll realize that dark pit is only similar to pit in appearance. He actually has potential to have is own unique movesets but he won't

Bowser Jr.'s render looks exactly the same as the one in the roster leak. And the stages were confirmed since the most recent Famitsu.

Isaac is unlikely. They didn't even mention Golden Sun in the list of OST Motoi Sakuraba made.

They'd also need to be capable of changing Bowser's attack animations to exactly match smash 4 ones and create entirely new chars from scratch. From what I've heard, only project m team is even remotely close to being good enough to handle that, and I doubt they're behind this
