So… What's the deal with the Timeline?
I understand the need of the split, to have Ocarina of time have 3 different outcomes, even thoguh dead link event doesn't makes much sense in the "timetravel causes timelines" but in the "every decision makes a timeline".
I find it funny that the impa name is only passed down from the dead link timeline. And the only time that the triforce is seen outside it, is in Wind Waker. Besides Wind Waker, an Impa is in every game with the triforce in it… (Have to get to the Gannon fight again in Twilit Princess to remember this right, they had the marks but the triforce is supposed to be in the sacred realm still untouched)
Other thing that bothers me is what happens to the piece of courage when Link goes back to the past in ocarina of time, he can't take it with him because the triforce is complete in Wind Waker. Acording to the wiki, link going away caused the courage piece to break in 8.
I find it terribly sad, and somewhat insulting, that the defeat of Ganondorf at the end of ocarina of time, directly leads to the ruin of the kingdom of hyrule.
Small detail that if the "Link to the past" is supposed to be the same of the oracles and awakening games, then how come that in the 2th oracle game, Zelda introduces herself as it was their first meeting?
The placement of A Link between worlds was given between Link's Awakening and the First game, but it fails to make sense on the status of the triforce, as the game starts with it separated, but it was suposed to be united, ever since Gannon reunited it during his victory in OoT.
Also, Vaati survives in link dead and link missing timelines. So there's that.
And I'm grateful that both Skyward Sword and Oracle of Ages have stable time travel. For now.
And yes, I'm aware that I'm probably giving it more tought that Miyamoto did, but there's a japanesse intern somewhere who managed to make sense of this mess.
