Pretty sweet chapter, It's about time Sanji got a power-up. Now all we have left is Zoro vs. Kaku and Luffy vs. Lucci and then we'll finally see what's going on with the Buster Call, Usopp, and whether the Straw Hats going back to Water 7 or through the Gate of Justice.
This chapter was freakin' awesome. I don't even know what's going on text-wise, but action wise.. holy crap.
I've never seen Sanji use such a powerful attack! I like how it stays active too. Although, it doesn't really look like it's on fire; just redhot. I love the coils of fire it makes, though; a nice touch. <3

Well, if that ain't the most badass thing I've seen in about four months.
Its not really fire though, its heat caused from the friction of him scraping shoe on the ground as he spins that causes the lower portion of his leg to heat up
Then when he hits the opponent, all of that kinetic energy built up in his leg results in quite the painful attack
Its not real world logic, but thats about how I would surmise the attack works through observation anyways

Okay, if people want to go on ranting how this fight has not ended yet. I will give a clearer analyses on why should end now.
Let's see Fukuro and Califa first. When Franky punched Fukuro, it was shown in a two page spread. One may think that it's a finishing blow, but it is rahter bland compared to others. All it is was a strong punch and that's it; really bland compared to others. So the fight will most likely continue the next chapter.
Califa got zapped by the thunder ball, and it was only shown in a one page spread. Plus, it was just a small ball of thunder, so it would make sense she isn't down yet.
Now for Jabura's case, he IS finished. Even before Sanji uses the heat kick, he was able to scratch Jabura badly. Now when Sanji finally use the heat kick, he kicked him once in the chest and sent him flying across the room, and we see Jabura's chest wounded badly and he is bleeding severly. He really couldn't have been able to stand. And now they fight in midair above the floor several meters high. Sanji uses another heat kick in his HEAD, and a super powerful one at that. It is followed immediately by an even stronger kick down towards the floor, and Jabura was SET ON FIRE. It's as if he turned into a fireball and plummeted towards the ground. Even if he's really, getting hit in the head, setting on fire, and then shooting towards the floor from a high point is more than enough to take him down.
This hit, compared to the previous two, is MUCH MORE devastating, so it has to end.
And then we have the spoilers saying the fight ends this week.
I got to say, I'm never been that fond of sanji battles. There cool and all, but they miss the insane moves the others tend to have. Got to say this chapter made up for all that. Jab's wolf storm kick and sanji's upgrade rocks.
I suspect it be a like half a chapter or so left. That's the pattern so far. I suspect we have the explaination/flashback and one big finsher. Then Kaku gets to prove that his DF was a real upgrade.
Sadly i agree with those that say the battle isnt over yet. That was a badass kick but its not over. Also that attack Jabura had on the 12th page on BF's were awesome!

This chapter was so hot, I never doubted sanji(he's one of my favorites) ,so now we have heat/flame/fire leg sanji, much like red leg zeff. he's making a name for himself like pirate hunter zoro or strawhat luffy, I hope his bounty picture has some flames in it, I can see it now marines running away yellin, It's heat leg sanji!. Next week we see zoro, hopefully with some of those swordbening upgrade moves he has.

ok well this chapter had everything.. a character poll (FINALLY..i was wondering when oda sensei would do one of these..gotta show the main page tho)..and color spread..and an awesome fight..oda sensei's genius never ceases to amaze me..but i am worried where the fights and story will go from here…b/c of luffy's power up w/gear..so yeah..but i'll wait to see what happens.
Awesome. I was rereading and just noticed that on page 14 in the third panel Jyabura's snout is being squished to fit in the panel. Not normaly an effect you see in OP.

Note my first and foremost reason back in my earlier post for why I said I think its not the end. Sanji only used a simple, BLAND attack. Yes, its utilizing his new skill set, but its about as simple a move from that set as you can get.
A single, 180 degree turn kick. And the only reason the turn was even there was to line up the flaming leg with his face, rather than the non flaming one.
Now for Jabura's case, he IS finished. Even before Sanji uses the heat kick, he was able to scratch Jabura badly.
I'm sorry, I seem to have picked up a differant copy of the chapter than you good sir. In mine Jyabura may have been scorched, but he's not badly anything. Its greatest effect is to annoy Jyabura in mine.

I see some scorched fur in the centre of his chest. I see no blood. He clutches his chest as if in some pain for a single panel, and then he's back up as if nothing was ever wrong with him.
Its a minor injury, certainly not enough to stop a Shonen character.

He twists a few degrees, and does a single kick, not even one with a huge amount of momentum or power. There's NOTHING special about it at all.

Now this is what we call conjecture. That panel you're talking about, the final panel in the chapter, shows no connecting kick. You're just assuming one was there because it supports you.
Guess what, I'm assuming it was just Sanji's momentum carrying him around another few degree's.

Jyabura isn't on fire. The air above him is. Its a trail of fire, same as was displayed earlier on in the chapter.

Rephrased by the truth cannon he's hit in the side of the neck/head with a hot attack, and probably smashes into the ground at the start of the next chapter.

I see Sanji saying he'll use the other leg to finish it. I don't see anything in there that actually says:
"THIS WEEKS CHAPTER FINISHES THE FIGHT BETWEEN JYABURA AND SANJI FOR GOOD. JYABURA IS DOWN FOLKS. HE'S GONE. GIVE IT UP!"
Now, what I do see is you making up a lot of stuff, and using a lot more conjecture to support your unfounded opinion. Thats fine, mine is pretty much unfounded to, its only got the precedent fights of this arc to go on (all 3 of them), that every fight ends mid chapter, every fight lasts more than a chapter and a half (the real length of this one so far), and just because a chapter ends on a two page spread doesn't mean its over.
Totally unfounded, I know, but there you go. And as you said, we'll see next week.
To reiterate: I see nothing, NOTHING to indicate that the fight is over. No extra special attacks and no hugely overblown injuries resultant thereof - since Jyabura has already survived similiar several times this fight alone.
DAAAAMN! what a freakin sweet chapter! the fight will likely be over, or confirmed by the next chapter…. but holy crap that was badass.

If Sanji gets something like this, and Luffy gets the Gears, which I doubt we have seen anywhere near the full extent of, I really REALLY want to see what Zoro is going to get now.
I normally dont even care too much about Sanji's fights but this one was excellent. The choreography in these fights is getting better and better. Im beyond psyched up to see what Zoro comes up with, and to see Lucchi and Luffy go at it, especially considering Lucchi is like a twice as powerful version of Jyabura, without any of the silliness.
Tis going to be so insane.

I am enjoying the chapter. Immensely in fact, considering Sanji is one of my favourite characters. More so than even Zoro personally. I just don't think that one kick was fitting with Oda's style this arc, and that there'll be another small bit of Sanji badassery…

Sniff, it's good to see Sanji really devastating an enemy, so far this has been one of Sanji's best arc, he got to beat up a train full of Government Agents, an excuse for a chef, numerous marines and Jyabura :*D, i don't think i can handle anymore. Good bye Fukuro, good bye Kumadori, good bye Califa, good bye Jabura; it's nice knowing you all. The CP9 are slowly dying, they been around for 2 years(real-time, not story-time), over 90+ chapters they have been around. I can't wait for all the CP9 go out of picture and bring in new enemies.

Seriously, this is by far the best Sanji fight in the series, and might even be up there in my top five for the entire series so far. Amazing (but not farfetched) new power up combined with awesome art! I don't think his flaming feet could have looked better! And even before he powered-up the battle was wonderfully ceographed (sorry about the spelling). This skewer kick earlier in the chapter? My jaw literally dropped.
and to top it off, Jyabura was just as kickass. The taunts, the howling, and amazing techniques (especially the wolf head Ryankaku!)
seriously, the new CP9 (Jyabura, Kumadori and Fukorou) are sooo much better than the others so far. Jyabura's my new favorite without a doubt.
the fights this arc are kickASS, especially this one. and now I'm not gonna be sad about Usopp not fighting Jyabura anymore (though he, Luffy and Zoro better be just as damn spectacular as the rest!)

Anyway, this chapter blew me away. At first I was a bit apprehensive toward Sanji fighting Jyabura instead of Sogeking, but this shut me right up. I'm so glad that Sanji did have character development after all through this fight. It looks like he's got his own sort of "next level" (like Luffy's Gears), and it's awesome. And I love how Oda made this sort of "next level" for Sanji completely unique, just like Luffy's gears. And of course, by deduction, this must mean that Zoro has some sort of advancement as well (and who knows, maybe Sogeking will have one too). Great stuff all around, and it looks like the fight is over. Even if it isn't, which I think it is, it'll probably only last about another half a chapter.

yeah, i know what you mean. i'm not big on the all-action chapters myself, i prefer the story and character development usually… but since i am forever a zoro fangirl, i enjoy any moment he is in the manga, including his battles. mainly the Mr. 1 fight, Daveyback and Kaku~~ <3
