@Maju:
isn't that part of the whole joke of this chapter?
it's titled "a men's world" for god's sake
it's a sequel of "manly" stereotypes that are then laughed at the moment the "manly" fight starts with a nipple light attack and diaper bombs
Using this argument, Oda can make a strawhat a racist as long as the title is a white world and has a joke in it?
@Bazoo:
1. Japan. If you don't know the values that are more commonly accepted in Japan, learn them, and judge them by that yardstick, as this is essentially a pop product and is very reflective of the common values of the country. Not your country.
2. Comedy. The gag here is the matching old-school, absurd hyper-masculinity of both characters. It is completely just, within the context of that gag, for these characters to brush women aside, shut them up.
1. Why should I learn outdated values? This reminds me of the old picture that women shouldnt talk in the presence of men but just sit quietly and look pretty. Thank God, there were a few women who rebelled against that and decided it was stupid rather than going these are the common values of our country. Again, escalating a bit but in India, women are burned alive when their husband die. Am I allowed to condemn that or accept it as its the common values of the country?

@CCC:
OP of this topic is spot-on with the bullet points.
Chapter was god awful.
Arguing these points against people who won't listen is a depressing, losing battle.
I'm out.
Am starting to realize the same, probably a wise decision. Will do the same.
