No he was excited at the beginning with Robin as well. And it was shown in his flashback he followed them all (bounty pictures at the wall)

Did you just forget the whole blood transfusion drama at Fishman Island?
Oh and here's more Nami abuse. And more. And more. And more.
Tbh I never felt it was a plot point. Mainly because that whole sub plot was resolved by Jimbei giving Luffy Blood. Not Sanji. So it doesn't seem as though Sanji losing blood had any real significance at all other than just gag.
Yeah she still hits people but I guess my point was that she was much quicker to anger 2 years ago than she is now.

It was done to introduce the taboo itself of fishmen giving humans blood. We didn't know that before the Sanji nosebleed scene, that they had a taboo of giving humans blood.

Kishido is right, Barto even refered to Robin and Usopp something like the "Enies Lobby shoot down duo" … and don't forget he was so excited to meet Robin he asker her to make him her slave -hrd to mor excted than that ;) j/k

A stupid question, but the thinking balloon going "An iron band for boobs!? etc etc" is by Kinemon right?

Yep, it's quite awkward considering Kin and Rebecca's age. But still funny

Phew! I'm glad it wasn't Hack or Sabo.

No need to peep, they've already had their boobs dose for the arc. Here they are clearly in line for a hug.

@Steven:
The old one is a bloated corpse. Mentions of AGOG on the last few pages was as good a reason as any to start a fresh one.
Also, "nakamate" was starting to wear thin with some. I like "new-mate". No problem with it that I can see.
A poll will be added later on. Have at it!
Almost 10k posts..

As I recall he could barely talk around Zoro or Luffy he is calm here compared to how he reacts towards them

He can talk fine to Luffy, just in a Hancock way with his back turned Zoro he just asked for his autograph directly.

Sanji introduced the plot point, then it was resolved by Jinbe and Luffy. You don't resolve subplots without introducing them in the first place.
The gag stopped being a gag the moment it was played for drama.
Right… well, I very much doubt Bartolomeo will join the Strawhats.
He seems like the captain of an allied crew. Same as Cavendish and Law.

Ah. Alright then. I still believe that if he does end up joining Oda can still do something with his character.

The 10k post is more of a tradition then necessary since threads can handle a lot more posts than they used to. I think it would be okay if this one stayed open until an actual candidate or better evidence comes along just so we can start a new thread with some new discussion, but I don't think anyone is going to be stopped if someone tries to open a new thread.

What about Usopp captain of the Usopp Pirates.. :( ?
I never thought he would leave his crew..
Have you guys read the theory of Smoker and Tashigi becoming Strawhats later on?
I know it sounds utterly ridiculous but I could post it if you haven't. It's a very good read.

It was discussed at length during Punk Hazard and would probably be found near the start or middle of this thread. I remember one of the strong supporters (if not the one who brought it up had the crew with Smoker and Tashigi in their signature).. If you search hard enough you'll find it.

That will most certainly never happen but they would probably still be treated like members of the crew by Luffy.
Especially seeing as how even Roger always considered Garp one of his nakama even though they were enemies/rivals.

I haven't even finished reading that yet, but it's not off to a great start. First off, it theorizes that Smoker, Tashigi, and an Elbaf will join based on old designs of the Straw Hats. This isn't that much of a problem, but when your first argument for Smoker joining is "he has the gray hair of the original gray hair guy", your not off to a great start. Actually, out of all the inane theories that people post here, this logic and reasoning is some of the worst.
Also, the guy goes off Oda's "joining pattern." Only, as Robby so graciously pointed out a few pages back, there is no pattern to the crew joining outside of "we need this position filled." And seriously, how does Tashigi join before Smoker? How do they not join together?
That's all I need to read to know that this theory holds no water. Smoker and Tashigi will become allies of the Straw Hats, but they will never be pirates.

I can't help but think you started reading it already doubting it, so you didn't even give it a chance. Just read the whole thing.
Smoker and Tashigi are not joining.
I want Bart to join but I read an interview with Oda recently were he kind of implied that we will see new nakama later rather than sooner.

I think its the other way around, you went to read it and you want Smoker to join so hard that you are willing to accept wtv dumb explanation to make a scenario like that exist.

Hahahaha, ah, Beck26.
His posting style was similar to someone trying to persuade you to eat a shit sandwich, and then becoming enraged when you actively refused to do so.
It's a shame really. Even tough I didn't believe in his theories he seemed polite enough fellow. Then he was finally convinced Smoker and Tashigi wouldn't join and decided to take it out on everyone.
BTW did he delete his account or something?

He was never convinced away from his theory in the end as I recall.
Finally facing such unanimous derision made him take his ball and go home….after going a bit crazy.

No. I'm a Song of Ice and Fire fanatic - I love insane theories by reading too much into a text. This however, has no evidence and no possibility of happening. The author has essentially discredited himself within the first paragraph.
Jesus Christ, Beck26 did actually have a hand in writing this.
Outstanding.

After reading a the Beck26 stuff you guys have been posting..
What if chochrane was Beck26.. Lol..
Chochrane = TheCloudsBlackLightning = Beck26
About Oda's "pattern" I gotta say: The eye sees what it wants to see. Zoro was chained on a pole, Chopper was chained to a sleigh…. meh...
To throw in my 2 Cents on this debatte: New Nakamas don't have to be "lonely wolves" to join the Crew. Franky had his Family and b4 he joined fans were like "how can he even survive without Kiwi and Mozu?"
If you want a female melee fighter Rebecca would have a more unique fighting style compared to Tashigi. Not that I prefer her. With Tashigi's dream bout collecting all the swords in bad Hands she has the better chances with the Long-term-dream. Rebecca's dream only might be finally actually injure an Opponent.
But in arcs like this you just don't know who might join the SHs or if anyone joins at all.
Beck26, AGOG, who's the last person to complete AP's monster trio?
its not dailyfiber

Everyone who thought about Shirahoshi being a candidate

I guess Zoro will give him the title of "Shitty cook"..

O.o
The little guy was not a penguin, but the first draft of a dwarf. :getlost:
As for the "spikey gray-haired plant lover guy"… I don't recall Oda's drawing saying he would be a coward so please give link where Oda does say that.
And Smoker... the "Stray Dog"??? where the hell did that title come from? is it his title in some other country instead of using the White Hunter?
And where did it say Robin disliked pirates? IT would be more accurate to say both Nami and Robin both joined pirate crews when they were children.
ewha.... "Both Sanji and Brooke were introduced with something that produced smoke(tea cup and cigar for Sanji"
Tea cups do not produce smoke, when its hot enough for vapor to rise its called steam! Steam and smoke are not alike at all!… unless you think 'they rise up' is credible, I don't.
Of course Usopp said hew as allied to Elbaf warriors. It was not a lie but was after the fact be befriended and allied with Broggy, then Dorry. He never mentioned Elbaf before going to Grand Line because he didn't know they existed, he learned of Elbaf from Broggy and Dorry. And yes, Usopp did say he wants to visit Elbaf, back in Little Garden and again its hinted at end of Water 7.
But I think its more of foreshadowing where the crew goes, not who's joining.
And no, I do not agree on Smoker being 'introduced too early'. His introduction was right on time. Because if Smoker foreshadowed to be anything, its the next Garp= the marine that refuses to higher than vice-admiral eso he can have the freedom to chase the big pirate of the day that one day be called "Pirate King".
Just as Garp chased after Roger, Smoker chases after Luffy.
Oda has shown Smoker being very focused on chasing Luffy. Smoker originally didn't want the promotion to Comodore that came after Alabastra. But later, he tells Tashigi that they need more rank so they could go into the New World to continue to chase Luffy. This is why he asked Aokiji to transfer him so he could go to G-5.
Beck26, AGOG, who's the last person to complete AP's monster trio?

Well depends on how you define the AP monster trio -
Do you mean their tenacious and stubborn support of a side character or group? Going to great lengths (and posts) in support of this character or group? Going so far as using a slight off-hand comment as an open invintation to derail the thread so bad that its off-topic for 2-3 pages?
Well, we HAVE seen one certain individual go at great lengths supporting a certain group (coughmarinescough) and why they are not so bad as fans think. I will not name this person for fear of it summoning him up and them this thread gets derailed by his persistent posting of why they are misunderstood not bad/evil
OR
Do you mean giving ridiculous arguments of great length of why character X will join and can not see any argument against it ?
I don't know this one… I know AGOG was gaga for Perona to join, as Beck seems convinced Tashigi & Smoker will join.
Sure some have argued for Shirahoshi but lets be real - none were to the degree of AGOG was for Perona.
Are you…are you nominating who I think you are?
Oh me, oh my Katzztar, how scandalous!
Is he really that bad? :P

AlmostLegendary has the distinction of being one of the few posters who was always wrong about everything.
He was also a colossal shitheel.
Robby killed AlmostLegendary.
Zephos killed AGOG.
Beck26's demise was more of a gang related incident, it'd be hard to decide who hit the killer blow.

Yeah this is the one, thanks Kishido. He doesn't explicitly say "there won't be anyone from Dressrosa to join" but he's kind of speaking in future tense so I just assumed that's what he was implying…..whether that be intentional or unintentional I don't know.
Unfortunately neither was I, but the elders still speak of it around the campfire, thankfully.
It's just like you're there watching Perona not join along with everybody else.

Yeah I forget when it happened, I think AGOG was there when I joined or just before when I was lurking as I barely remember him.
