What really gets me is how there are people who write paragraphs of information talking about very minute things, and try to pass it off as deep, such as this one post on One Manga. I can barely read these types of posts, because it takes a few pieces of information, and tries to connect it to other stories or legends to try to make it deep, and make the speculation seem plausible. Worse part is, if Kubo actually tried to do what this person writes about all the time, Bleach could be interesting. I love One Piece and Toriko, but I don't spend hours trying to find a legend associated with one small piece of information that either has no relevance, or is just referencing something that in the end doesn't make the story any better. If any of you can read through the 20+ paragraphs, I'd like to know your thoughts. If you don't read it, I can't blame you.

As you said earlier you are not that smart. If you had a high enough IQ, you would realize the depth and wisdom of Tite Kubo.
I forgot which IQ actually is required to understand. Was it 180 or 190? However, these people obviously have it…
-
@Bartholemew:
Don't forget Sternritter Ä, Ö, Ü and ß as Kubo likes the have German stuff.
Sternritter Ü: The Übermensch.
-
Sternritter Ü: The Übermensch.
Sternritter Ä: The Ätherische.
Sternritter Ö: The Öl.And they can fuse and become: The Ätherische Öl.

I may not be smart, but I can recognize bullshit when I hear it. Unless it involves physics, then after a certain point it's all gibberish to me. That may be the problem though, people who can do all the high physics stuff seem to be really smart, so my point may be moot. Dangit Kubo, why do you have fans who keep thinking you put all these things in when you've admitted you don't.
-
I think there was one time when Kubo put a two-headed eagle logo on a colourspread and his fans spent large posts searching for deep biblical symbolism and shit.
-
They think everything is symbolism. There's people thinking the Semen comment is supposed to have a deeper meaning or is supposed to be foreshadowing something. It's one thing to take certain moments and dissect them, it's another to assume everything is deep and meaningful.
-
:ninja: You know, all those over-complicated theories probably would sound more believable if the story was more consistent from start until this point. Or maybe if the author was anyone other than Kubo…
To me, all Kubo seemingly did was just spread random vague hints with cool references all over the place without actually trying to give anything to glue them together. He knew he didn't need to do anything beyond that because his hardcore fans will always try to make sense out of them in his stead.
-
That's what I thought. There's people comparing Juhabach to various legends. When they talk about the legends it sounds cool, but just because it has a few similarities to another story doesn't mean it's supposed to be like that, and even if it was supposed to be, doesn't make it better. If a character was like Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, that doesn't instantly make it a good character, it has to be developed in it's own story. If they want something that could be considered remotely deep, they should read JoJo. Part One was deeper than anything Bleach ever did, and also had good characters and plot. Also the first bunch of chapters build up the villain of the story, something Bleach hasn't done in a long time.

That made me really lol. How is the first part of Jojo even remotely deep? It's a pretty straightforward story, without any dept at all, and that's part of its charm. Bleach on the other hand doesn't even have the charm.

This thread needs more Sternritter む(きゃ)…

I'm not saying JoJo is really deep, but compared to Bleach it is. I could be looking to deep into it, but it felt like there was a Yin Yang thing going on between Jonathan and Dio. It's not deep really, but it's more than anything Bleach has to offer. I do agree, JoJo shines in a simple but effective story with awesome battles, another thing that is leagues beyond Bleach.
-
Bleach is actually the Da Vinci Code…. or should I say the DaColbert Code
http://thecolbertreport.cc.com/videos/vgbtpp/the-dacolbert-code–-oscar-predictions
On the other hand, while JoJo isn't often deep, it does bring up some striking thoughts from time to time, especially in Steel Ball Run.
-
like the Diegosaur
we should get a quincy that becomes a dinosaur and forgets on which side he´s supossed to be and mauls everyone. then becomes human looking again and it happened to be aizen.
and the few survivors are speechless because aizen was supossed to be in jail
then we find out that the captured aizen was Dio all along. With his cover blown, he breaks free and starts posing.
-
Bach is just an avid tennis player and wants to know what side the ball will land on
-
JoJo isn't deep, but it's something that Bleach isn't.
Good.

Bleach is so bland and boring that hardcore fans will have to look into stuffs that's barely there just to get some form of entertainment.
-
^
That and all the fanboys are just delusional. -
I'll give them credit, the fact that they put all this stuff together with nothing is impressive. For me a story has to be good before I would even attempt to dive into the stuff they do, assuming I would do that. The problem with them trying to justify Bleach is that they use a few panels from the story to try to make characters are somehow like characters from legend. Many of the times they talk about the different legends, I know nothing about them, but I can tell they are grasping at straws, especially when trying to use Juhabach, which he has almost no characterization. The other problem is when 90% of what they talk about is conjecture or is nothing based on the actual content. If you are going to say one character is like another character, you have to be able to look at both actions and personality of both characters. The other thing they don't seem to understand is just because a character is like another fictional or real character, doesn't make them a great character. I wish I had the patience to try to make One Piece seem deep like Bleach to them, but that wouldn't end well.

Guess what the fuck is going on: The chapter.
And what do we know, suddenly Sasuke has the Ope Ope no Mi too.
-
This post is deleted!
-
Cause Sasuke really needed yet another power up.
-
is there any reason why is it coming out earlier this week? i expect Wednesday release per usual
-
One more line from Kaguya to add to the collection.
-

I think there's a holiday coming up.
-
I guess it's kinda cool Sakura is being more pro-active? Even if her form of contribution is being an energy tank for the men…
-

Jump release date is Saturday instead of the usual monday(because this next monday is holiday in japan). Early official release = earlier scanlation.
-
Well, despite the fact that most of the chapter of Naruto was pointless padding, at least they didn't spend multiple chapters just to get to Sasuke. Overall it wasn't bad, but at this point everything is just padding out. The "final" fight of this war has been going on way to long that the longer this goes, the more frustrated I get. Despite how silly it was, I enjoyed the early Madara fight stuff, but after more than two years since it started, it needs to end.
-
I miss Madara's expressions.
-
One more line from Kaguya to add to the collection.
I don't know. For me it just seems Black Zetsu is holding a monologue here.

And Kudos to everyone who knew what Gudodama is without googling.

wow, i have no idea that this people still exist and one manga still exist..:blink::blink:
5-6 years ago, you can read stuff like how Aizen is God, Gin is snake, Ichigo is Jesus and other biblical stuffs.
remember that eagle with two head color spread? yes, they wrote 1000+ essay for it and explain how deep Bleach was. -
Lol, at the Original Body Naruto failing to make it into the other dimension and coolly trying to play it off as if he planned it from the beginning to trick Kaguya. That actually sounds like Naruto from Part 1. As for Sasuke's powerup at least now we know how he has been teleporting around since he resumed his fight with Super Madara.
! The chapter was ok. Most of it was flashback followed by search and rescue but let's be honest. Even though Sakura amounted to nothing more than a battery in this fight there wasn't much else she could do against Kaguya so at least she did something, and it was helpful. Not exactly "front line" involvement but Sakura has always been treated as support on Team 7 and she'll continue to be just that. Support, and it'd be folly to expect anything more at this point.

I remember reading some of the stuff at that time about Aizen. I was looking at forums because I wanted to see if other people thought it was bad, but from that forum people were eating it up. Worse part was that slowly people were starting to like it less until Gin became a good guy, and everybody went back to praising it. One of the funniest comments I saw was people claiming Bleach is deeper than One Piece. I wanted to join that one time just to tell them that not only is Bleach not deep, but neither is Naruto or One Piece, with only one of the three being actually good.

i think its better if you don't debate with them what manga is better or not. just go there to read some discussion and laugh and leave. if you start mention other manga's name then it will not be a proper debate/ discussion at all.

That's what stops me from doing it. Especially when a lot of people agree with everything that one poster says in the 20+ paragraphs, there is no way you will persuade them otherwise.

New Bleach out,. Bloody hell, that chapter seemed to be filled with more content than usual - amazing, and it was pretty decent. Especially with Yoruichi stickin her hand u in between Orohime's boobs and Zombie girl saying she got "wet"when she finished off Bambietta to turn her into a zombie, and Yumichika sayin "you mean got hard" lol.
I felt dirty even sayin it but lol it was funny. -
That was actually an enjoyable chapter of Bleach…
It's a shame Kubo is such a shitty writer/artist because he really can write some interesting characters and character interactions, horribly written Gremmy type characters aside.
-
Yup. Pretty decent Bleach, and it's not the first one. Shitty writing and pacing and villains and fights aside, it seems Kubo is kind of. . .having fun lately? Like, enjoying writing characters interactions? Facefaults? Silly stuff that used to be everywhere during Bleach's early days?
-
lol @ Urahara trolling Orohime into wearing something way more revealing cuz Ichigo would like it & yay at Yoruichi showing up, we may finally see her fight, but i was hoping Kenpachi would be among them, healed up and ready to fight Round 2 against another monstrously powerful opponent…
-
Well, that was a bit too much fanservice. Looks like Kubo had planned the outfits' intention all along…
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Wait, I remember Mayuri needed to wear that shiny outfits for a plot point reason. I can't remember what it was, help!
-
That… was actually not bad. For a Bleach chapter, which means is simply bad, and not attrocious.
You know, if they ever do finish Bleach anime, this arc might even be semi decent.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Wait, I remember Mayuri needed to wear that shiny outfits for a plot point reason. I can't remember what it was, help!
Quincies hide in shadows, therefore he got into a shining room, with a shiny outfit, so that no shadows could exists, and he could work without being observed by them, or somethin.
Or he just wanted to have a room that they could not acces, one of the two.
-
Plenty of Urahara (of the scientific, silly and perverted varieties), actual interaction between characters and a cameo from Mayuri.
Best Bleach chapter in a long while.
I actually enjoyed it.
-
I was ready to hate the chapter when it started out with Ichigo's group, but between the humour as well as the Ikkaku and Yamachika fight, I was satisfied. It won't make this arc any good, but if I can have an enjoyable chapter at times, that's all that I ask. Also glad Yoroichi showed finally, her entrance was funny and someone decked Ichigo across the face. I won't make tiny nitpicks about the chapter, but the only thing stopping me from completely enjoying the chapter was Mad Scientist guy coming to take over Ikkaku's and Yamachikas fight, but at least Science guy is also interesting. Alright Kubo, you are making it seem like Orohime and Chad will do something this arc. I don't care if they have to fight together, but let them do something meaningful finally. If you do that I will elevate this arc to be slightly better than it is already.
-
What??? Is…. Is this?? Am I reading Bleach??
This chapter got a chuckle out of me and it took longer than 1 minute to read. And they were fighting with Kidou and using their brains??????
If Kubo can keep this up, Bleach might end up being enjoyable again (and I mean enjoyable in a good way).......
Oh, who am I kidding, it'll probably go back to standard Bleach in the next chapter
-
Holy shit, Kidou is back!
-
-
Well, sign me up for being positively surprised. Actual character interactions reminiscent of the series early days, Yourichi finally returning, a plotpoint I thought was long dead (dimension imbalance) is brought up again (its stupid, but still), and the squad 11 duos fight was okay- Yumichika using Kido might clash with his characterization, but seeing as that was always kind of moronic, I don't mind. Giselle is effective in being an evil asshole you want to see taken down -I think its the lack of pretentiousness or "forced coolness that helps, as it was the weaknesses of AssNuts and Gremmy.
And of course, the king of crazy assholes shows up in his sunflower suit. I'm down. Do something zany, Mayuri. So yeah. Nice. If Bleach was like this every week, it wouldn't be as big a laughingstock as it is.

So the big question Is when will Grimmjow appear. Kubo has been waiting to reveal him and he won't. Either he will come at the very end when things seem bleak again, or Kubo is waiting to fully reveal him when ratings are down, much like with the Gin reveal.
