I ignore that. Sure making little kids the object of adult's passion is a very annoying fact of many mangas. I wouldn't include Eli-Mel there; I find funny his squeezing habit, and Elis is a woman, not a kid.
Seven Deadly Sins

Eh, King and child Diane didn't really bother me because King handled it all well enough. The attraction itself was a touch creepy, but forbidden attractions are an extremely common thing even in real life. The point is that King himself seemed to recognize that it was inappropriate back then and thus didn't make any super creepy pedo attempts, so I have no issues with it. That's a far cry from Ban's loud declarations and Meliodas's happy hands. And now Diane's all grown up so it's whatever.

Maybe Vivian was a kid just like Gil and Margaret, but taller.:ninja:

Maybe she was standing on a box. :ninja:

@zym:
So now are we to guess that Hendrickson obtained this demon power somehow, or he is inherently part of the demon clan. The latter could explain why he's obsessed with unleashing the demon clan.
Nah I thnk he discovered the ability since Meliodas expressed surprised that he could use demon techniques like Enchantment Hellblaze.

My cents on Chapter 84
About Merlin
Ok, it’s annoying watching adults turning on and kissing and having nose-bleeding from watching or being with kids. In my ignorance I assume it’s a cultural difference between Japaneses and me… but, putting that aside, isn’t it clear how much lovely are lovely adult women, and that the author likes them, like many regular adult mortal do?
Merlin the crimson nice pig!Merlin is gorgeous, and, of course, it doesn’t matter if it’s just a drawing or a representation. She’s the crimson pig; you know crimson is also a symbolic color for passion, and pig I symbolic animal for nasty things… I could chat a lot about her outfit specially her shorts and the lace. But I won’t, I only will say that I wonder if those are panties or shorts? She’s not the big booded allie that serves the comedy purpose or just the stupid fanservice liking. Instead, she’s independent, powerful, smart, and has a beautiful smile (Did I say that about the smile already?.. somewhere…)
And she has a lot of question to answer. Just why did she knocked down Mel in such a critical moment 10 years back? It’s seems clear now she’s not an enemy; so most likely her motive should had to be protection. Like if she’d have acted to prevent a major evil. But just what could represent a major evil in that moment? Well the author has done a great job in constructing intriguing questions and in having the reader hooked with them. Let’s hope the answer will be as good as the questions. I suggest an answer below.
Great team!… and three of them are not there…Luckily to Mel and to us, readers, some of the big questions are answered in chapter 84, not by Merlin but by Dreyfus. It’s Merlin who asks him why he framed the sins 10 years ago. So he was the framer… but only he? It’s possible but I doubt it; we come to know that some time after that Hendricksen changed his personality and came with the plan to resurrect the demon clan, something that Dreyfus didn’t approve. And it’s almost impossible not to draw a line between the assassination of Zaratras, the scheme against the sins, and the breaking of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. So that the question about who is behind of all of them, easily comes to the mind. I’d bet there is someone behind all of those events; particularly someone was inside Dreyfus mind making him do what he did… I’m guessing is the goddess clan.
In God we trust… really?
The poor goddesses…First, they are in a pitty condition. Not only they lost their power in the ancient Holy War, but they also lost their physical form. But, what is really relevant to the point, they are or waiting or planning to regain that form and likely to recover their powers. Just how do they expect to do that? … By breaking the spell they cast to seal the demon clan?
A weird lost sheep! Now, isn’t it wear the fact that 20 years ago, there was a demon wandering around the kingdom and trying to take the fount of youth? I mean, the demons are sealed, so why is it possible that one of them was present in this world? It’s like if someone with the power to do it, would have released one (minor) demon.
He used to sweat when poisoning enemies, but later he was happy walking among demonsAnd how is it possible that Hendricksen has demon blood and manage demon powers? If the goddesses needed to break the seal, Hendricksen would be the perfect victim of their scheme:
_- So you want to be the victor of the Holy War. Well for that you will have to beat the demon clan, the most evil creatures in the world. It’s the only way.
- But how could I beat them.
- We could give you what you need: take that (demon blood in safe pills), release the demon clan and save us all by killing them._
Another reason has to do with Merlin’s movement from 10 years ago. Likely, in teleporting Mel, she wanted to protect him. But protect him from who? I mean who has the power to put Mel in danger? A demon, a knight, … a goddess? Well, the goddess has not much power now, but also… Mel is half demon. And all the other sins weren't teleported by Merlin. Sure, Merlin’s movement is still weird and I’m looking forward to read her answers. At least, if I were Mel I would ask her: “If you saw how Dreyfus frame that ambush against us, why did you teleport me only? What else do you know?”
The killing goddesses!Whatever it may be, most likely the fact that the goddesses wants Mel death, (they asked Ban to kill him), strongly suggest a plot line like this: somehow they were there when the sins were ambushed 10 years ago, and wanted to kill him… Merlin saw it and saved Mel. That would explain why the protection was necessary and why only Mel was teleported.
So, with all those points to consider… the goddesses are my favourite character to be the dark hand behind the events of the last decades of the story.
Merlin - Howk connection
Now, why now is Merlin here? Just in this very critical an important moment? Coincidence? It could be, but I bet Merlin was following Mel’s whereabouts through Howk, and that would be part of the connection Merlin-Howk:
Merlin-Howk connectionMerlin not only teleported, but also knocked out Mel; Howk appeared in Mel’s life right when he woke up. I presume that happened just some weeks before the events of the first chapter: Mel wakes up, wonders what happened and right there begins his search of the sins, selling his treasure, buying the boar hat to travel through the kingdom… Now we know Merlins tattoo and nickname.
So that’s it, Howk is the Merlin’s den den mushi, and came with Arthur right in the moment Mel arrived for the first time in 10 years to the capital of Lyonesse. Thinking twice about it, it¿’s too much for a coincidence.
Hendricksen
He may not be the dark hand of the story, and most likely is just a minion or a puppet of someone else. Anyway, he’s the victor of this arc. He does look much more powerful than Mel with his black eye, evil conscious speech, eyes and confidence, and the shadow as his outfit he seems to have many times Mel’s power. And since Bartras vision power doesn’t fail in short terms, Elizabeth, the objective of the sins, will be taken by him.
That’s pretty much along the lines we could expect. Despite the crushing victors of the sins, they are losing the battle and Eli will be the key connector between this and the following arc.
Dreyfus
A friend suggested the forgiveness gave to Dreyfus was a bit too easy. But rereading the chapter I came to think it was not, since he’s having the worst punishment conceivable for him: he wanted his son be proud of him, and now his son, in the middle of the mourning for his beloved Veronika, comes to know also what he has done to his uncle and to the kingdom. Tragic fate and fair penalty for him. Sure Gil can see it that way.
Painful punishmentAs in the last weeks, I found the last chapters very enjoyable; they didn’t weaken the story, solved some mysteries and added some others to a complex and well designed plot. Great art, and great big events.
And a final theory:
!
Lady Howk (since Merlin is the crimson pig)!C ya!
-
! i was expecting something like that
-
! It's eclipse time! ^_^
-
"She is certainly not wet!"…. I just choked on my water... xD
Finally we know what Arthur was doing in this arc! Laying foundation for a future arc.
-
For a second I thought Hendricksen's attack would be postponed until he appeared out of nowhere to destroy a good portion of the castle and unleash a horde of brutal demons. Jericho and explosion-girl's transformations will be particularly powerful I reckon. Not to mention the aftereffects…

Chapter's out
Man, I was looking forward to see the Knights of the Round Table. -
This post is deleted!

We have been stolen by Merlin!

"She is certainly not wet!"…. I just choked on my water... xD
And when I thought that, at first, I felt this robot behaviour would make a boring character

Too convinient that she just left when she could easily magic away all the demons to a volcano's mouth.

She wants to treat Bartras in a better place and nobody knew Hendreicksen was still battling; so it's not an issue with what she could do now in the new situation. But the answers about what happened 10 years ago…

Yeah, and everyone found normal that she decided to carry a king out of his own kingdom in the blink of an eye.
She is hiding something or Nakaba knows that her power would break almost every event in the story."Look is the whole demon clan!"
"Merlin, vanish them to the Moon, will ya?"
Either the enemies from now on develop defenses against her teleports or she would never become a true ally to the sins.
-
good chapter, but the cover is kinda awful, merlins left hand looks mangled and her boobs are just weird
oh yeah, about jericho and her brother, wasn't there a chapter about it? I remember something like that, but just can't find anything -
Yeah, and everyone found normal that she decided to carry a king out of his own kingdom in the blink of an eye.

Or both. But sure her power is not the biggest one of the story. Despite the cover, sure Suzuki knows how to counteract it.
-
Hendreicksen's plan is to make the Sins footslog through chaos spawn
-
Recently Gowther only has had one line per chapter but he keeps on proving to be the best addition to the cast.
-
! Helbram, you're back(kinda) magnificent son of a bitch, also Ban finally shows of with those nunchakus, Damn!
-
! Maybe it was a demon who actually tried to trick Ban into killing Mel. Now that Ban got a weapon back (his sacred treasure?) its time to see if he took the bait.
-
alright, it finally happened
! What was first a moderate amount of dislike towards Hendriksen, for actually being dumb enough to think his little knights could stand against demons, now finally changed into flat out hatred towards him
This is how you portray the horror of having to fight a recently deceased friend or family member. The look of terror in kings face when seeing his fallen comrade is just gut-wrenching
poor helbram :( -

I think it was said somewhere that Ban's sacred treasure was a rapier.
Pretty sweet chapter, looking forward to Ban with some Nunchuck action next chapter. I think Margaret's entire existence is to make Elizabeth look cool by comparison because so far she has been an incredibly boring character. At least Elizabeth has her moments every now and then. If only Veronica were still alive.
-
At least Elizabeth has her moments every now and then.
Yeah, being the damsel in distress and getting kidnapped one or two times every arc.
And geez, I guess its mighty convenient that Merlin just teleported away for no reason at all.
-
! Maybe it was a demon who actually tried to trick Ban into killing Mel.
That's kind of what I was thinking. The text bubbles looks ominous, not heavenly, and the horn looked like the demon's horns. I figured he was either given misinformation, stumbled across the wrong relic, or found the correct relic now taken over due to the presence of that demon being used for experimentation. I think I'd rather it actually be the goddess clan though.
-
I think it was said somewhere that Ban's sacred treasure was a rapier.
Its just that in the first chapter, Ban(armor) was seen wielding a rapier but thats not enough evidence to me and I don't think the Nunchuck are absolutely his sacred treasure since it was told that they got those from the king himself and Ban had those before he joined the sins(thought it could be different ones.).
Well if isn't this typical, the moment the hero's life is in danger, the damsel turns herself to save him, but heeeey Helbram and Ban are here so why argue, also next week info about the anime, maybe some artworks or scans. -
It would be nice if we could get geezer Helbram back, but it seems that we are stuck with lobotomized emo kid.
I dont know why Nakaba keeps changing what are perfectly fine designs. Hendricksen looked better before when he was on his late 30s, he lost all his composure with the facelift too.
-
Hendricksen's current look is much better, more meancing. It's very fitting for a villain like him.
And same goes for Helbram. I don't know what some found especially entrancing about his geezer self, I find his original appearance a lot more appealing.
-
I'm pretty sure that Geera (or Guila, what you prefer) will be saved for little Zeal's sake. But I'm not so sure about Jericho.
Also is funny to see Hendricksen being a competent and scary necromancer after seeing Fairy Tail's own necromancer. -

Hendricksen looks like a smug bishie right now. And we don't need those. FT's Jellal and his clones got that covered.
And geezer Helbram was way more fun to watch. A nonchalant oldster who uses all kinds of powers to demolish his opponents; all the while enjoying the joys of life. I too really liked that guy.
-
A smug bishie, how? He looks manly and intimidating as fuck. You seem to have a problem with this sort of character designs, so I won't bother.
-
Yeah, I liked Hendricksen's initial design the most. And the geezer was fun as fuck, while the bratty fairy was kinda meh.
-
Wild episode!
Cant wait to see it translated.
-
Anime starts on October 5th
-
! Can't wait to have the explanation of this smile at the end. And poor Hawk, I sympathize with him

Chapter 87
Meliodaz Vs Baan; Round 2, FIGHT! -
read vol 1 in English not to long ago…it was pretty fun
-
I used this song to enjoy more the fight :P
I hope the animation studio is not a shitty one, I would hate to see this series butchered by bad production values.
-
The bromance was strong in this one. One can't help but love the relationship Ban and Meliodas have.
Oh, I btw don't think Griamor stands a chance against Hendricksen. The latter is being portrayed as a monster right now, with powers easily matching that description. While the former can only rely on his supposedly impenetrable wall to survive the fight (wouldn't even think about him actually winning). But I wouldn't mind being wrong on that one. The author knows how to write good fights after all.

Now that Griamor has no one to defend I'm sure he learned to use his powers in a more agressive way.
Still he is no match for Hendricksen but he may be able to stall for time.

Does Mel have the plan to be resurrected with the demons?

Please be good.
