As always, rules are subject to change as needed.
1. Per last year, we're changing things once again. This year, we're trying to simplify things. Some of you might like the new format, some of you won't. Feedback on the format is welcome but make it subjective and not the focus of threads, alright?
2. As always, let's avoid bashing. Saying that you don't like a character is fine, but keep it within reason please.
3. The focus here is on the Character Tournament, not other members, mods, or anything else going on anywhere else on Arlong Park.
4. Buying votes with physical property or money is banned.
5. One vote per person per match. Using alts will get you banned and matches won by cheating will be overturned.
6. This is a PG13 board and any images posted need to stick to that. If you're not sure if it's work-safe, then don't post it.
7. Remember that "one vote per person" rule? If not, you have problems that I can't fix but once that vote is cast, that's that. We're not going to fix a vote just because you couldn't read the selections.
8. The following campaigns are banned.
! 01. Boob/Playgirl/Manglaze Campaigns.
02. Euphemistic Campaigns for the above ('Hats').
03. Massive images without spoiler tags. There's a size limit on the forum, but those are still annoying.
04. Campaigns that are nothing but memes like Haters Gonna Hate.
05. Campaigns that drag in arguments from other sections. That should go without saying after Rule 3, but still.
06. The Emo Ace image.
07. Spamming the same link/image/what have you over and other again. Images that are being altered as the match goes by don't fall under this category.
08. Posts that are variations of FIRST PAGE or FIRST are annoying. Don't do that. Those aren't really campaigns, they're just stupid.
That list will be added to when new campaigns that annoy us pop up or as I remember things that should have been on here to begin with.
09. Standard spoiler rules apply; if the chapter isn't out yet, that information doesn't need to show up here.
10. Stay on topic. This is the Rules Thread, not a general discussion thread. We'll have a thread for that. Same for the Statistics Thread.
11. Be patient; things come up sometimes and there might be delays on when a new match starts. We'll get around to it soon enough.
12. A different staff member will withhold their vote to the end of each match to avoid a tie. They might flip a coin to pick somebody, they might just vote for a particular character, but that tie will be broken. So don't be surprised when it happens and don't get mad if it doesn't go your way. We don't fix matches; this is a character tournament, not soccer after all.
13. As always, I've saved the most important rule for last. Have fun!
