Chapter 749: Rascals attack!

Hum…But is it in my heart ?
Yes it is damnit, i was just about to give you the directions! to…. the laaaannd.... wheeeeree...iii...waaaaaas...boooorn...:whistling:
-
-
We knew that Urogue hat some weird power, just not which. We know that Vergo had excessve skills in CoA and Marine Martial Arts, which explain his behaviour and power. Again for the XXth time, we have a perfectly good and logical reasoning for him not having a DF. You can provide a zero amount of evidence of the contrary, you through around the word "maybe".
-
Yes it is damnit, i was just about to give you the directions! to…. the laaaannd.... wheeeeree...iii...waaaaaas...boooorn...:whistling:
LoL sorry! I couldn't resist.
-
Yeah of course i knew about Urogue. Why didnt you use Dofla as an example? Took like 12 years until his DF was finally named and specified.
I dont really understand how this confuses you. Showing that a character has a DF, yet not specifing what its name is or exactly how it works, is not the same as not showing any signs of DF power and never suggesting any existance of such (As the case is with Vergo). All his feats can be explained through him being a Haki master, wich we do know. You sure there was no signs of any DF power? Spoiler inception incomming
! >! food sticks to him and he is so numb he doesnt feel most of hamburger stuck to his face
! spoon sticks to him for no reason.. same like Gladius hat bursted for no reason. Also Oda put emphasis on that spoon sticking to Vergos face until it flew off it during Sanji welcoming Vergo
!
! Law points toward that his counter shock didnt worked, later we seen that Laws DF slices Vergo coated in CoA yet other part of his ability based on electricity doesnt work on "base" Vergo without haki armor
! Sanjis direct question that was ignored by Vergo and Sanjis fibula cracking
! when their legs clashed without haki clashing effect
! - so it seems like it was leg vs leg and Sanji lost it- weird, also his legs didnt gotten damaged after first crack, he was later shown to clash with Vergo and that haki-effect is visible on next panels and even when G5 calls Sanji to escape from shinokuni
!
0 hints towards something about Vergos body being weird and all can be explained by haki. Suuurreeeeee..Some of you people are weirdos. Even if I would not believe possibility of such DF in such scenario- if what I posted doesnt make any of you have second thoughts and simply reconsider that there is a chance for Vergos DF then no wonder that you Schabrak or Robzilla for example point at me every time I write about it as you have to be really ignorant not to take into consideration that its not like you can be 100% sure that you are right. I might be wrong but assuming you cant be wrong is a mistake you do over and over and over again.

0 hints towards something about Vergos body being weird and all can be explained by haki. SuuurreeeeeeYou just showed me one of Vergos quirks, and the fact that he is stronger than Sanji. I dont see a connection between hamburgers sticking to your face and delivering hard kicks wich equals metal paramecia, or DF at all.

Well then.. Time for me..
So what about Dellinger blood tears? Or Vergo.. erm sorry- about Corazon-Doflaming-Whitebeard meds-Whitebeard sickness relation?
I would like to switch subject -
As we've seen, CoA can create tiny lightnings. The guy with the strongest CoA produces static electricity. I think that's it.
-
I don't know if this i've been already said but the biggest flaw in the "Vergo got a métal DF Théory" is his fight against Smoker.
What we know:
-Smoker got a jitte with kairousike tip
-Smoker worked under Vergo the last two years
-Smoker knows how strong is Vergo
-When Smoker fights against a DF user he always tries to put them down using his jitte (we saw that against Luffy and Law). He used thrust moves. What i guess:
-If Vergo got a DF, Smoker would knew it
-When Smoker uses koka on his jitte the tip loses the kairoseiki effect (reason why he didn't use koka against Law)My conclusions:
So if Vergo had a DF Smoker would i've try to put him down using the tip of his jitte. But he didn't.
He tried to deal the maximum damage he can using koka because he knows that Vergo didn't have a DF.Just my 2 cents

We had very same effect when two of CoA hardening haki attacks clashed. Same lightening-like shapes that were visible after leg cracking in fight of Sanji and Vergo. Here:
! and its not so different than those sparks

I would like to switch subjectI think Dellingers blood tears have been explained as symbolism (shedding tears of blood is apparenltly a saying that means you realy want to hurt someone in japan- wich dellinger wanted to do to Bellamy). The Med pack thing has been talked about for years but all we can do is speculate at this point.

Worth considering. Fair points.
Smokers attack with tip of his weapon during fight with strong enemy left him very open once btw
!
and only other time when Smoker was shown trying to use seastone on Law was when he grabbed Law by the neck and tried to pin him like he pinned Luffy during Marineford war.
Vergo also has a weapon to protect himself from Smokers jitte. Presumably he can completely disarm Devil Fruit user when he pins him to ground or wall for seastone to take effect by holding his enemy DF user with it. Its not like I touch you I win weapon. Especially considering that he as a logia also has to look out for touching tip of his seastone weapon. -
-When Smoker uses koka on his jitte the tip loses the kairoseiki effect (reason why he didn't use koka against Law)
why should that be?
with this you could cancel out kairoseki by just using haki -

Dellinger has horns at verbally attacked Bellamy, then he started to kick him to death. He verbally and physically torments his enemy as it seems. He has horns-bull horn shaped hat.
If he has DF like almost all Doflamingo pirates that were shown those tears might be hint to his ability like Bully fruit? More he mentally/physically damages his enemy stronger his attacks get?
Just trying to(too) be creative in predicting -

Sure I did. Not best source ever, I admit. I searched a bit for better link but dint found one
Though DollarSchollar said its japanese thing for wishing to really hurt somebody.

@vagabond87 : Yeah, but the fact that he never tried once to hit Vergo with the tip (but always with the "body") of his jutte is , for me, the sign that Vergo don't have a DF.
Or else, Smoker is dumb. -

I have no idea what im talking about, i was just talking about what i had read on these boards and it seems like you were ultimatley the source for that one. So i guess i dont know, maybe its his own blood and Oda just wanted to show that he took a couple of blows in his skirmish with Bellamy.

Haha.. Okaay your arguments seem to be strong
@Rivaille- If he would try it on screen it would be like pointing at somebody and saying "he has devil fruit" it obvious that he has DF. If.. IF he has DF and Oda planned to show it during flashback then its logical we didnt seen Smoker trying. So lets not jump the shark with jitte not being shown pointed at Vergo, better just wait and see flashback.
I will change my avatar to donkey or something else for 1 month if Vergo wont be DF userNow you're the one who's trying too hard.
Try to be on defense of something for so long, expaining stuff becomes a habbit.
But if we seen Smoker trying to pin down Vergo with seastone it would make it obvious that he has devil fruit so if we will see that kind of reveal during flashback it would explain why we didnt seen Smoker trying to use seastone on Vergo back on PH. Really. Its easy to try and find holes.. Im tired of this subject.Probably more than Darth is tired with defending Akainu and Marines :getlost:

Oh my god they actually put up Corazon's picture on the OP wiki. I'm laughing more than I probably should.
"He wore sharp sunglasses and feathered-clothes. All in all, he bore a great resemblance to his brother Doflamingo."

The Corazon article annoys me, because the man hasn't appeared yet in the manga, its an article created from bits and pieces and small facts that We know about Dolflamingo and him. They couldn't wait till he appeared to make an article, his personality could change. Granted, l know they'll change the article to reflect new info .
-
What if Doflamingo is a string logia and the one that turned into the birdcage is corazon?
(jokes)

"Being born in the Donquixote Family, Corazon was a World Noble, thus granting him political rights and privileges to do almost anything he pleased, as well as near limitless wealth and the ability to summon a MarineAdmiral to strike down anyone who offended him. When he became a pirate, he lost such privileges as he became a criminal."
How do they know this? I said how do they know this?? Did they read the script? Does their dad work for Oda???
Every time I go to the OP wiki, my soul is chipped more and more away. Who the hell runs that place? -

Are you guys honestly surprised about this? This is the freakin' wiki we're talking about. They're notorious for pulling stuff out their asses and smearing it onto their screens, resulting in the entries you guys are reading.

The OP Wikia may have mods but much of its articles are often posted -added to and edited by anyone … and I do mean anyone. Whether you sign in or not, anyone can edit the articles that are not locked. And its takes a lot to make a mod at OP lock a page, usually when several people start an 'edit war' (one adds info and another deletes it).
I used to be a regular there but got fed up at the blatant bias of the mods to certain characters and downplaying others -for example they will let someone make great in depth articles on the Monster Trio but edit Usopp's articles to bare knuckles. I would add to Usopp's page the facts -no exaggerations or speculations- (such as listing Usopp's injuries at Water7/Enies Lobby but he stood up to fight on the Bridge of Hesitation, only for the mods turn around and take it out and say something like "Usopp is able to endure various injures" .... :getlost: yes that gives a good example of things....
And that is only a small complaint of how things are run over there.

I'm not that surprised, I'm ticked at them for the article. They couldn't wait for a few chapters to make a Corazon article then just stitching together an article based on what was mentioned about Doflamingo's past and what Law has said about him.
-
The worst part of the wiki is their insistence on using anime screencaps for everything.
-
Right after the chapter were Dofla got beheaded they immediately put deceased on his page. Why all the surprise? lol

Oh …. good grief .... anyone can edit it (T_T). I think they should have a presumed dead tag/category or something like that.

@Cyan:

I do hate that but I'd say the worst part is that they don't separate anime from manga in the characters that appear in both, making many people think that events that happen in the fillers are canon.
The rather obscure (for here) Kuroshitsuji Wiki isn't as up to date but I like how they have a 'manga synopsis' and 'anime synopsis'. Yeah, Kuro anime is notorious for being 99.5 filler , unlike OP, but it would be easier (easier for other fans who have to correct those that watch but not read OP) if the OP wiki did mark when things were anime filler and so is not canon.

For what it's worth I found your post funny. It's exactly how people feel about this chapter…summed up nicely. He kept hinting so it's really about time lol
Quite frankly this discussion of Vergo having a metal devil fruit is obviously innacurate and I'm surprised people are even discussing such a pointless theory here, instead of the "theories that don't deserve thier own thread" thread

It is not for certain that is Doffy. That is still up to debate.
I'm more inclined at the moment (though it can change later) that is Corazon.
Why do I believe it? Simple, when Oda has a character talk about someone and then have a image of someone else in same panel as that speech bubble, then its likely to be that the person that is being talked about is same the person in the image. And Law was talking about Corazon when he said "the man who saved my life" and it was that image in that panel.Yes, there can be exceptions, but it seems that the majority of time this is true. So until Oda says differently, I will believe its Corazon. esp since its so different from Doffy's looks in the current span of chapters.
While Oda changes a characters looks, its over a span of years and never in just two chapters. Even if he's drawing a flashback to an earlier time, the character's looks will match current looks, for example when drawing Nami in a flashback to what happened in the time with Arlong Pirates, her looks match Oda's current style and not how he drew in the earlier days = meaning breasts bigger, more eyelashes ect
Or with Usopp drawing the nose to match current style when in early days it was a bit smaller and came to a point. This makes me think that if Oda was drawing Doffy then the profile would match the current style. While he can (and does) go with 'an extreme stylized look' to exaggerate moment s like a looming threat, its usually changing eyes and mouth shapes ala Cavendish/Habuka method, I don't remember it going so far as changing a chin to be pointed.
-
I think it could possibly be that Vergo's body is literally steel, and that he's another one of Vegapunk's experiments/modifications in the vein of Kuma. Just a thought. That would make him thematically relevant to the fact that his character was introduced in an arc that was very much concerned with the consequences of Vegapunk's work; it would also allow Vergo, who didn't really get much exposition as a character, to pop back up in a future Vegapunk arc.

Speaking of the One Piece wiki, I'm trying to get people to participate in this discussion of whether Trafalgar Law is still a Shichibukai or not. The guys over there just aren't doing anything even though the manga says he's a tentative Shichibukai. I feel like the evidence I gathered up there should be enough.

Havent posted in a while, but ive had a semi terrible theory gestating in my head for the last few chapters that id like to share with you.
It could also maybe get us talking about something other than stupid vergo df, which if anything is not a metal paramecia but a grill grill fruit. This could explain the metal properties and the propensity for grill and food related objects sticking to him. Maybe. Still all the DF nonsense can be debunked easily by the zoros nigorilla that shwos that people can buff on will alone and the existence of effing tekkai to be as hard as metal. So really the precedent is there and it is far more likely that vergo is simply a quirky rokushiki expert that mastered jyaburas mobile tekkai to the enth degree. There, now lets kill that silly debate until more info is available.
Back to the theory. The parasaito tecnique always struck as pretty odd from its first appearance. It isnt really something one would associate with a string string fruit. If the string fruit produces super thin and resilient strings then it would allow someone to puppeteer people, but the named attack parasite suggestw something entirely different. It suggests that a living thing is feeding and thriving off of an unwilling or unaware host. Now, granted, doflamingo is a living thing that controls unaware or unwilling people, but such a thing would more likely be called a puppet related thing. Parasite implies that he is attaching a living thing to the hosts, and furhermore a purely string df would not allow for such mass control of several hundred or thousands of subjects. The puppeteer theme also doesnt hold up because if it were strings controlling people then the controlled victims would remark on the fact that they are being pulled by an unseen force that they can struggle against. Instead, victims seem to act against their will as if by some otherworldly possesion.
You can probably see where im going with this, but my terrible theory would be that doflamingo does not have a string df, but actually some sort of parasite spider zoan, spawning parasitic broodlings that he can control that attach to the victims. The reason its a terrible theory to me, is that for any chance of this happening we would need for Oda to pull his first bait and switch when it comes to dfs, as the narrative has already heavily hinted, if not outright stated at he is the string string fruit user.
Now, this is where tish gets slightly more convoluted, and frankly sallacious. The resemblance of Cora to Doflamingo could be on account of them being brothers, or as some other nincompoops hold a panel of dofla even though law was talking about cora in that very panel. However, I believe that panel was of Cora. I suspect that doflamingo took over his brothers body and is holding him indefinately as a living prisoner. His parasitic nature might also allow for the ability to take over a host and replicate, leading to actual clones that are controlled by his parasites. Really, string clones arent a thing, this isnt a magical fraking string genjutsu imsorryforthatreferenceiregurgitatedinmymouth.
Deeper into the rabbit hole we go. What if Doflamingo was a poor downtrodden sod with no actual relation to the doflamingos? What if his form isnt really human looking at all? What if he took Cora Doflamingo over and then claimed a long lost relationship on account of the resemblance? What if there was never a donquixote doflamingo at all, simply a facade to keep his status, unquestioned by the resemblance to a brother he is actually currently inhabiting in? Or perhaps there was a brother, and he took both brothers over, thus explaining the two doflamingo lookalikes, and there are no clones at all, just empty husks of the late brothers? What if his main consciousness isnt even either of them, he is another different creature entirely feeding off of his broodlings' experience and power. What if all the one piece storyline is a part of laboons trippy concussion? I admit i stretched a little on that last one.
But if even a fraction of this is true, some of the weird crap weve seen dofla pull ,ight actually make some sense. Hell, Law might be the only one who witnessed some god awful nightmarish thing this devilish creature has done. Or it might be that dofla the brother exists and consumed a parasite df, transforming into a ghoulish creature that inhabits his brothers body for a semblance of normalcy.
Of course this tl;drish dhiarreic spew deserves an apology to those who got through it, but i just wanted to give my two cents with this weird lisergic rant and see if anybody has an input or a rebuttal to silence all the crazy voices in my head. Thanks for reading, toodles.

I still remember those days where Oda used to draw his villians in super despicable-insane mode without caring about the shape of the face and no one confused the character with another complete different person, aawwwhh so nostalgic, I still remember like it was just last tuesday,
