Pokémon ORAS and Spinoffs: We Go!
-
-
I only hope we get new mega evos. I reckon they'll give one to Swampert and Sceptile if they do.
-
I wonder if Kyogre and Groudon will be version exclusive, or ifyou could only get Ho-Oh in Soul Silver (and viceversa) because you could in the originals.
-
Omega and Alpha formes seems most likely. I remember gen 3 being my least favorite for a while, but I think that was before I realized Sceptile was amazing, and partly because all of the best Pokemon that generation were late-game, like Bagon, Metagross, Absol, Latias and Lunatone. So I was stuck using Pokemon I either only somewhat like (Swalot, Sableye, Swellow) or didn't like at all (Swampert, Electrike). Not to mention the introduction of Spark + Static always crippling my Pokemon! But looking back, I really loved Emerald and I'm hyped for a Battle Frontier and the Mega Metagross that Champion Steven Stone will use.
-
Just imagine this. In Omega Ruby you have to hunt Kyogre in order to defeat Groudon, and the opposite in Alpha Sapphire. Now then, how Rayquaza fits in all this is up to the producers.
-
This is the issue with forum-sourcing news, it's both hard to find the news or just remember the news without searching.
BTW Iwata said that it was a plain remake, not a new plot.
My opinion:
It will most likely have some new stuff and a way to get gen 4 and onwards pokemon, focusing in the unavailables in Kalos ones. -

Last three bits end up pointing out the differences to Groudon & Kyogre on the box-art, stating that they're showcasing "never before seen Pokémon", the same terminology they used for Black & White Kyurem, as well as Mega Mewtwo Y upon their reveal, indicating that they are more than stylised artwork of the Pokémon.
We already suspected this, but is good to have confirmation.
-
I hope they give mega evos to other region pokemon since in X and Y they alreay gave the Hoenn pokemon a lot of them.
THe only ones I want to get it in Hoenn right now is Sableye, Kecleon and the other two starters, I mean I'm fine with anything but I would like to see some evos for the Isshu pokemon and the Johto and Sinnoh starters also.
-
I'm guessing the new versions of Kyogre and Groudon's are megas. Actually, I expect that besides them we'll get at least 3 more megas-the other two starter mega evolutions and mega metagross. I'd be surprised if Steven didn't give the players the mega rings in this game (given that he travels around the world collecting rare stones as it is) and thus Steven will probably have a mega. And while I guess he could have mega aggron, Metagross has always been his signature pokemon so that makes way more sense.

Prankster sableye does NOT need a mega. Its hard enough to kill as is.

Dun care, love Sableye, its counterpart got one, it deserves one.

As I just said I'd expect Metagross and the two starters before anyone else in regards to completely uncertain new ones (so not counting Groudon and Kyogre). Sableye could be cool, but Metagross is the champion's signature pokemon and I expect that from now on all champions will have their signature pokemon mega evolve like Diantha's gardevoir. Plus it'd be easy to have themgive you metagrossite or whatever they call it at the same time you get Beldum
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also Mega Milotic if they keep Wallace as champion and steven as ultimate boss post game like in emerald
-

Makes sense specially since Metagross is not the beast it once was a boost would be pretty nice, still love my Ruby Soft reseted Shiny Metagross so much :D.
–-
Please no Wallace get Steven in there he is the superior champ.
-
Regarding mega, Sceptile and Swampert would be the obvious priorities. I also hope they change the game a bit and allow you to pick one of the Johto starters similar to Kanto ones in X/Y. That would also lead to Mega versions of Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr.

Gief my favourite starters need a boost(Cyndaquil and Totodile).
-
Mega sandshrew please.
Of course it would just turn into excadrill and that would suck, given that excadrill got everything Shrew ever needs (stats, typing, ability, moveset… at least shrew FINALLY has a proper moveset with ground moves in it...)
As for gen 3 mons that need megas? Mightyena could seriously use a boost. Ludicolo could be even more insane assuming it keeps rain dish (or maybe gets drizzle...?) Breloom would be cool... Torkoal is a 1-phase mon that could use some help.
I loves me some Cacturne...Zangoose or Seviper would be cool, but they'd both have to get one. I'm kind of surpised Milotic didn't get one... though if Feebas stays relatively rare and hard to evolve.... Relicanth would be cool.
Agron, Medicam and Electrike already got megas... and we know Latios and Latias have horrible looking ones already.
Slaking is already beastly... honestly just taking away its horrible ability (at the cost of its item slot) would be mega enough for the most part. Exploud just got the nearly unique boom-burst to kick ass with...
Luvdisc would be such horrific trolling and a complete waste.
-
Luvdisc mega evolution will look exactly like alomomola.
-
Imagine a mega slaking with moxie slaughtering everything LOL

I agree just stating the possibility since HGSS based story on crystal's

You have a shiny Metagross? Lucky. Shiny Metagross is easily my favorite shiny

-
Didn't you mean Sandslash?
I like both its forms, so I call it by the first out of habit. (I do that with a lot of mons)
Obviously a mega would be from its evolution.
And look like this.
-
What the hell is that thing?
-
Looking back at Hoenn Pokemon, I don't really like many of them but I loved the games.
Mega Slaking could get away with a terrifying ability, just would have to remove 100 Base Stat instead of adding it
-
Mega Salamence please. v_v
-
-
Mega Salamence would be nice. But only after Mega Metagross. Maybe this is where they'll introduce Mega Lapras, you know, because Water and surfing.
-
What the hell is that thing?
So there are those who love Chrono Trigger and those who should play it. You are on the second group.

Well when it come to games I haven't played many.:ninja:

Just play Chrono Trigger. Now.
It had a DS release a couple years ago, should be easy to find. Its also on PSN.
-
I want Mega Hariyama.
-
I'll see if can find it but I won't make promisses.
You can play Ds games on the 3ds right? -

You can play Ds games on the 3ds right?Yes you can.
(there's also emulator but thats not optimal)
-
Man I knew it would happen eventually and boy I just don't care. Much. I'm a super sucker for egg moves and move tutors, they will be the soul reason why I get this.
If the story is revamped and as cool as it was in Black and White that might be more incintive but these were my least favorite main line Pokemon games.

You can play Ds games on the 3ds right?Indeed, when I played it (legaly) I did it that way.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
Following its reveal yesterday, there has been some question as to the actual content of Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, as to whether they're remakes or new versions due to the wording of the announcement. During the Investor Briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are full-remakes of the 2002 releases, Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. We'll bring more on these games as it comes
Edit @ 15:38: The Japanese arm of The Pokémon Company sent out an e-mail to all Daisuki Club members which ends up pointing out the differences to Groudon & Kyogre on the box-art, stating that they're showcasing "never before seen Pokémon", the same terminology they used for Black & White Kyurem, as well as Mega Mewtwo Y upon their reveal, indicating that they are more than stylised artwork of the Pokémon. I was discussing this on NeoGaf, but one thing I really want from Pokémon in general (it won't come from these games) is another rival that actually feels like they're competing with you. I get that they don't want to rehash blue, but I think you could pull it off in a new way. I'd like a rival who sometimes beats a gym before you and sometimes after you so you're pretty even. And I'd love a reverse Blue situation where you beat the champion and elite 4 first, but right before you're taken to the hall of fame you're rival appears having beaten the elite 4 and challenges you this time

And then you lose and your grandpa scolds you for losing and everyone upholds your rival as the true hero of Hoenn.
Post-game the goal is to start your own gym while fighting crippling depression and the fact your future is now about seeing kids pass you by every day as they become better than you ever were able to and defeat the rival you never could.

Yeah that would be mad! And throughout the game when you vs him his pokemon's levels are scaled to yours so people don't super train and ease through the game. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to code that in. And then at the elite 4 he's scaled higher then you. I want pokemon to grow some balls and actually be tough. I smashed through the hard campaign without barely grinding…

I thought about that, but the problem there is how to auto scale movesets without making them suck. Not to mention evolved forms and stuff. Still if they could pull that off I'd love it
-
I want a rival that eventually turns evil throughout the main story, instead of an evil organization dictating the story events for the millionth time.
-
I thought Hugh was a somewhat-decent compromise between good guy and competitive. Team sucked though. In fact, I think Barry was the last rival that I'd consider to have an especially good team.
-
Just… give us a hard mode option right off the bat guys. (Not in the post-game pass a key to one copy of the game and play a totally different cartridge method).
Gym leaders get more pokes, higher levels, better moves, smarter AI, their minions pose actual challenges. Don't have all the townfolk give reduntant advice or teach us how to catch monsters, etc.
-

Jeez Noqanky, Jeeeez xD
Oh, Hoenn is creating a lot of expectatives and at the end it will dissapoint. JUST LIKE FUCKIN' HOENN BECAUSE IT SUCKS.
Oh man, this is so easy.

Hoenn sucks?… Since when? It was probably my 3rd favourite Gen. The story wasn't the best but the pokemon designs are the best ( my opinon) of any other generation. Hardest choice between the 3 starters... All 3 are powerhouses and look awesome.
-
I have to say what truly bothered me about Gen 3 was not the endless pathways of water or the lackluster Rival.
It was that Team Magma and Aqua were just so bad.
-
I really hope they use more Pokemon than the Zubat, Poocheana, and Numel/Cavanha lines this time around.
-

This. Evil organization pokemon are usually just fodder and time wasters and Team Aqua/Magma's pokemon were almost worse than team rockets. There's plenty pokemon of the same type, they just gotta let the bad guys use them.
-
I really hope they include the Battle Frontier from Emerald in these games. That thing was boss, way better than the one in Gen 4.
And yeah please redesign Hoenn somewhat so that the entire last quarter or third of the game isn't on the ocean. Well I'm probably asking too much here.
