@RobbyBevard:
No. It really is a bad show.
Also. Every time I see your avatar I want to punch you in the face. Nothing personal.
Damn you hate it that much Robby .

I thought everyone liked No Maam…
Late on the previous discussion, but…
I sort of watched Rick and Morty with several people and the consensus on the first episode is usually pretty good(this is even the consensus from the fanbase it gathered). So I still fail to understand how it was bad for an episode intended to be an introductory pilot. But yeah, the show goes really wild with ideas once it starts spreading around roles for the entire cast. It's a really quality show, and there's quite a story behind the production of it. First of all, it's made by the voice actor of Lemongrab... and he also voices both Rick and Morty. The co-writer wrote the first few seasons of Community, and he tends to handle the more humane character interactions when things get too crazy. And lastly, the show was made solely because Adult Swim wanted something different from their usual fare. They wanted their own "Simpsons-esque" show and that explains why each episode is a full length 20 minutes than their usual short 7-10 minute cartoons. It also helps that it looks alot like a modern day Cartoon Network show in terms of art and animation quality(like Adventure Time).
So yeah. I really recommend it. It's just a fun as hell show. And it's only about 7 episodes long so far.
Just came back from watching the first episode and I really enjoy the 20 minute time frame since I always enjoy it when stories unfold. Not really sure I am feeling the Simpson-esque feeling though, but maybe that will come with later episodes. I am still a little bit overwhelmed by the first episode after all. Better keep watching and see what crazy rides are in store!
@RobbyBevard:
Nah.
Just no maam.
Not cool, Inspector.
Every time I see your avatar I want to invite you to some coffee and encourage you to not give up, so try to live up to that charm!

First episode of what ?
Of the cartoon that was mentioned exactly one post above mine.
I go with the flow and don't care about quoting since I am a total delinquent. Oh yeah.
(Rick and Morty is the answer to your question)
When I say Simpsons-eque, I meant a 20 minute cartoon that follows the "family sitcom" dynamic. Like Bob's Burgers, Seth Mc.Farland's shows and all its clones, and stuff like that. It's not apparent in the first episode since it was more about Rick and Morty than the rest of the family though. But even so, the A-plot line is always about some wild science-fiction adventure while the family stuff is B.
[adult swim] is my favorite television block of all time. Pretty much all the content that it has produced has been entertaining to me in some way and only continues to do so.
Cartoon Network as a whole is all right too, though at the same time I've kind of grown out of some of the content they have on there during the day. Regular Show and Uncle Grandpa are probably the only recent shows that I find myself enjoying.
Finally saw Episode 21 of Uncle Grandpa. I do hope EW is used in other shorts as well. Also, it's been awhile since Hotdog person got mangled, squished or otherwise tormented.
STUART SNYDER IS FINALLY LEAVING CN!!!!!

YES!
pardon my asking but is that a good thing?
He…
-Introduced Live Action on CARTOON Network
-Cancelled One Piece
-Introduced that stupid Hall Of Game thing
So yeah. It is a good thing.+
Whats that abt Boomerang getting rebranded?!
"Sigh"
Sorry, its just that when I give news people always ignore me. I DO love that you are interested in Boomerang, though!

More specifically he was the one who put the axe to Toonami the first time (which included getting rid of Megas XLR as he "didn't get it"). And yeah was responsible for that horrid CN Real mess and a good majority of the live action shows that followed (Unnatural History and Tower Prep). In other words, was pretty much the cause of the "Dork Age" of the network. I'll give him credit though, least he cut back after realizing there was not point in trying to compete Nickelodeon by trying to copycat them. And, if I gotta be honest, I really didn't mind Incredible Crew. Seriously it was funny.
Eh I don't really mind Boomerang getting rebranded. Wasn't showing enough of the other CN shows from the 04-07 era (I understand stuff like Puffy couldn't be shown anymore. But no Camp Lazlo? Juniper Lee? Fosters? Grim Adventures? Sheesh I don't even see Johnny Bravo on there). Plus they've been running unchanged for awhile now.
Oh joy more Adult Swim. I can't wait to see more of the same reruns over and over again XP. Only way I'll be happy with that is if they at least give about two hours for Toonami, do the half comedy, half action like the used to. Heck reserve the weekdays only for the long running anime if they wanna complain about not enough content. I don't think anyone gonna fuss at seeing classic Bleach and Naruto, and you know, SHOWING OLDER EPISODES OF ONE PIECE TO HELP PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE SHOW BETTER.
Just saying, Willaims Street. Good oppurtunity staring ya in the face.
I love you. I literally could have not said it better.

so he's the yutz who cancelled One Piece?
good riddance to him.

And yet you didn't answer my question?
Laying the One Piece thing on him is kinda selective memory tho. He axed all of Toonami, that was Naruto and all the other stuff as well as One Piece.
Sorry! I just thought the article speaked for itself.
And it WAS him. Him and Rob Sorcher.

Unless it leads to the return of Thundercats,Megas XLR,Young Justice, & Beware The Batman it's not a good thing as of now.
(Sheesh I don't even see Johnny Bravo on there).
Unless they pulled it off the scheldue Johnny Bravo had been regurlarly coming on weeknights I believe with Powerpuff Girls.
Plus they've been running unchanged for awhile now.
Boomerang changes their schedule every few months but not by much.

Why not? they just went back to showing Naruto from the beginning while also airing Shippuden.
and opening to ad sales for the first time.
Oh boy you mean I get to watch even more of the same commercials I watch on CN on Bommerang too?
every time i visit carter's, it seems like boomerang is playing the exact same episodes of Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls

Not schedule wise, I meant in terms of bumpers, commercials, the style in general. Things like that. They haven't seemed to change since they opened the block. Though yeah your right, they still air Johnny Bravo, silly me. My point still stands about the other cartoons though. Don't know why they neglect to air them.
I heard they actually ran into trouble with Viz for Final Act otherwise they would have done so by now. Though that show would be new content, so that'd be for weekend affairs. Shippuden too since it's new to the network (Yeah I know Disney aired it first, that don't mean nothing.)
Yeah, apparently the licensing on Final Act is significantly higher than it should be for… no good reason.

Considering how touchy they are about the opening not playing on Youtube, I'd say it has something to do with the music.
Seems like there's new Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry shows happening.

A new Scooby-Doo show happens roughly ever 5 months so no surprise there.

Not sure what I feel right now.
Trailer of the new tom and jerry show.
After Mystery Incorparated took itself too seriously during the final legs of season 2, and changed things for the worst in order the pander complaining fans (like Velma's character being shafted) …
I'm not even sure if I care which direction SD goes anymore at this point anymore.
So does that mean The Looney Tunes Show is done then? Shame, they'd picked up a pretty good groove after starting out awful. Hopefully crazy Lola carries over to future shows, she was easily the best part.
And that Scooby is frightening.
The art style of the new Scooby reminds me of something, but I can't place it.

Cow & Chicken, maybe?

Hmm, yeah maybe. I was thinking John K-ish at first, but that's not quite right.
I'm getting a real Butch Hartman vibe from that Scooby.

Does that mean we'll see the same joke or line recycled multiple times during the show?

Apparently it's Avenger's EMH 2.0
Only greenlit for 52 episodes, weird final episode, replaced by a new show just cause.
People tend to forget Seth does and has done other things beside write for Family Guy.
i was thinking seth mcfarlane
Yeah, I can see that too. The lines reminds me of Hartman, the eyes of McFarlane.
At any rate, pinpoint pupils just don't work for Scooby; while there have been tweaks to the designs over the years, changing his eyes has never worked. Scooby and Shaggy Get a Clue for instance.
People tend to forget Seth does and has done other things beside write for Family Guy.
Seth hasn't written an episode in ages.

i forgot he had 'professional annoyance' on his resume

You know that, I know that, everyone on youtube on the otherhand doesn't.
"Be Cool, Scooby Doo"? uh….okay?
Also I'm definitely seeing the Hartman-McFarlane styles now.
Hmmm with Cartoon Network deciding to bury "Beware The Batman" in the US I guess I going to have to go old school to watch the newest (last?). episodes, which reminds I still have to finish up Generator Rex season 3.

It's a damn shame, too, because Beware the Batman is a great show. You can find up to episode 17 online, and the latest ones have been fantastic, so do check them out…
Yeah hopefully when I try again the streaming actually works.
They are airing a new episode of Perfect Hair Forever right now.

Presumably another show killed by lack of merchandise sales, which is really sad in light of how well Brave and the Bold did on that front.
! If you were looking for something here on April 1st, it's not here.
Yeah, that's most likely what happened. If only superhero cartoons didn't have to rely on merchandise sales to stay on the air…
The Space Ghost and Zorak cameo in the new episode of Perfect Hair Forever was great.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
They are airing a new episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast right now.
