Ah, okay. I wouldn't mind if it didn't happen right away since I'd prefer if they started a simulcast dub after Dressrosa ends so that they aren't thrown into the middle of such a huge arc, but it's still something I'd be excited for.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Hey, it's been a while since I've been here. I took a break from the internet for the most part aside from reading and watching the latest One Piece chapters and episodes since the community can honestly be a little overwhelming to me. Money has been tight also so I sadly haven't been able to buy any of the recent voyages. After seeing some comments in this page, I have a few questions:
1. Are they actually in negotiations to start dubbing episodes close to when they air? I know they still have catching up to do but if that's the case then that would be pretty damn awesome.
2. Season 6 Voyage 4 has a special feature called "In the Galley with Straw Hats". Like I said before, money is tight on my end so at the moment I'm holding out for when I can get my hands on Season 7 Voyage 1, so can anyone tell me what exactly this feature is? -
RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
Rightstuf says it has been delayed until February. But Amazon says otherwise.
Maybe Amazon has an exclusive deal? It says that my order is guaranteed to come on Tuesday, but then again it hasn't shipped yet so who knows.

I ordered Collection 11 now that it's sort of on sale. Should be arriving at my house on Tuesday.

RE: Favorite Donquixote Officer
I will say that Mach Vise definitely deserves the lack of votes that he's been getting. The only good thing to come from him was his awesome defeat at the hands of Hajrudin.

RE: Funimation DVD Discussion III (Please Check First Post for FAQ)
I both agree and disagree with the things said here. The agreement comes from finding Hody to be a generally unimpressive villain. He and the New Fishman Pirates were a road block that was meant to show how much stronger the Straw Hat Pirates got over the course of two years, and while they succeeded in doing so since they got curb-stomped, there wasn't a whole lot of tension to the fights themselves.
As for Hody's motivation, I think it makes sense that he was born with a natural prejudice towards human life. It's just the environment that he was raised in, sometimes that can be more than enough to lead someone to hold a certain set of ideals no matter how corrupt they are. Plus we already witnessed both Fisher Tiger and Arlong, two characters with legitimate reasons for distrusting humans, so to see the sheer extreme of an example in comparison to them kind of makes sense thematically. It doesn't make Hody a complex villain by any means, but I don't see how giving him a clear motivation would make it any better.

RE: Favorite Old Wrong Theories
All the theories about Sabo before Sabo actually showed up. I was catching up with the series at the time but to my knowledge it pretty much became a running joke where every new character was speculated to be Sabo. I wish I was around for that.
As far as my own theories are concerned, I thought that Kid was going to be the antagonist of Sabaody. Now I doubt if he'll even be an antagonist at all. A rival, probably. But not an antagonist.

RE: Favorite Donquixote Officer
Huh, Senor Pink has surprisingly many votes, and Sugar has surprisingly little oO I personally liked that Oda made her really evil and menacing…sooo Sugar, Baby 5 and Lao G as honourable mentions, yeah?
Believe it or not I like Sugar a lot too; I just felt that there are other officers that I liked more. From what I've gathered she's kind of a middle favorite for a lot of people, so because of that she ends up not getting anyone's votes. It's not like with Mach Vise and Buffalo whom most people seem to not care for in the slightest, which makes sense because there really isn't much to them beyond their weird designs.

RE: Arlong Park One Piece Character Popularity Poll : The Results
Seeing Usopp rank at #4 (and over Sanji, no less) makes me really happy. Even if this is a more condensed poll than the one in Japan I like the results that we got. It's also cool to see Luffy continually placing first on both polls; it goes to show just how strong of a main character he is.

RE: Favorite Donquixote Officer
This is a tough one, I honestly love all of these guys for different reasons. Mach Vise and Buffalo are the only ones that I find relatively unremarkable, but even Buffalo ended up being entertaining just because of how funny his fodderization at the hands of Kyros was.
I think at the end of the day I'll have to go with Trebol. There's really absolutely nothing redeemable about him, and that in a way is what makes him my favorite. He's gross, ugly, loud, annoying, has no sense of personal space whatsoever, and goes out of his way to be insensitive at every given moment, to the point where even other members of the Donquixote Family find him annoying and hard to be around. It's that personality that made him the perfect catalyst for Usopp to come back to during Operation SOP also. He's the perfect antagonist to love to hate.
Runner-ups (limiting them to four others for a general Top 5, otherwise I'd be listing everyone else) include Senor Pink, Dellinger, Baby 5, and Pica.
