The only time I ever argue with people about their pairing likes and dislikes is when they are so adamant about it that they're like "this is totally canon and if you support something different, you're just totally wrong" or give that impression. I'm not out to change people's minds about what they like. I can usually see where they're coming from.

I like laughing about wierd "wank" pairings, as long as it's all in good fun, but if someone is actually really serious about something like say, KuroxLuffy, then I think I just don't have anything to say to that. XD

But as others have said...there are NO canon couples, and there will most likely never will be because that's not what the story is about. In fandom land, every pairing is fair game, because it's all for fun anyway.

My thoughts exactly. To me fan pairings are nothing more than an extention of someone's opinion, their personal tastes, likes and dislikes. And because we're all different, different things appeal to us in different ways.

Not in my book. MOST 15 year olds THINK they're mature enough for romance, but they're not. XD Besides, Chopper acts and sounds more like 10… and he's still a reindeer.

As for Sanji, I pity any girl who's going to end up with him. She has to be a super tolerant person.

I am a big fan of LuffyxRobin. i just think that they are perfect for each other, but that could be because i hate the love&hate romance, i just don't like does, sometimes i hate that kind of romance with a passion. I also cant picture Nami in a relationship, i just can't to violent and money hungry, but that is just my opinion.

Yeah, I like Vivi x Kohza and Zoro x Tashigi too. Vivi and Kohza have a lot of real hints, although they are never romantic in their relationship. I think they have all the right background and chemistry.

XD as most of you already said, there won't be any romance in this series ..However , who says shonen mangas dont have at least some hints? (for example Bleach)
Luffy/Nami owns my soul XD!! its the only pairing that make much sense to me ^^ My LxN Shrine have the reasons why I think they make a good couple.

I like other pairings too, Zoro/Robin and Zoro/Vivi ^^ lately I find Sanji/Robin cute too. and ofcourse, Usopp/Kaya is canon XD <-um plz dont take it as its offical XDD its just my opinion.

Usopp/Kaya isn't romantically canon, though. Oda only said specifically that they were best friends.
It's like Kohza/Vivi. Potential to be canon, but not really. There's more potential for Kohza and Vivi since they're actually together. The only presently existing canon romantic relationship in One Piece is Igaram/Terracotta. :laugh:

Hina and Mr 2
-Their rivalry is cute, and it reminds me of typical sitcom situation where the hot chick seduces the confused man into bed then ten years later we follow their story as she raises the kid alone and he tries to come into terms with his sexuality.

Bellamy and Alvida
-I tried to think of the two people I dislike the most in OP.. I think their egos would carry them both, besides Bellamy is a fake just like Alvida, they deserve each other.

Kaku and Tashigi
-Both on the same side of the law, so Tashigi lacks any emotional reason to back off, both swordsman, and Kaku has a sweetness to him that I think gives him an innosence like Tashigi.

Smoker and Conis
-I dunno, they seem to both be kinda gun nut western tough people (minus the guns) They have strong personalities, and I think Conis needs a man, one that can protect her, and Smokers one of the few men that sits up there in terms of Machismo.

-Both overly sexual towards women and also Liquid + Bubbles = mm mm good Campbells soup

I wasn't trying to be completely funny with them, I actually thought after considering them, that they could be serious. Don't girls that tend to have guys chasing them (like Hina) end up with the wrong guy/the guy they shouldn't/can't have? What's more taboo than a questionably fruity villain.

Usopp/Kaya (Best friends, maybe, but maybe more. And it would add to Usopp's character.),
Vivi/Kohza (They would be so right for each other.),
Smoker/Tashigi (She really looks up to him, could be a crush),
Buggy/Alvida (They can be evil and self-obsessed together!),
Califa/Robin (Love/hate. I usually don't like it, but this is an exception.),
Sanji/Nami (She really is the only one that could stand to be with him.) and
Wiper/Conis (It would symbolize an union between their people.)

Kuro/Kaya (Dark. VERY.),
Usopp/Vivi (They sailed together as the physically weakest of the group.),
Smoker/Hina (There is definitely some chemistry there.),

Tashigi/Sanji (She seems like a girl who would fall for his charm. Zoro is VERY pissed.),
Wiper/Laki (By virtue of Laki being the only non-underage female Shandian we've seen him interact with),

EDIT: So basically, there are two types of disturbing.

The 'Oh my God, get that image out of my head!' kind (Mr. 4/Lasso, Wapol/Kureha, Foxy/Chopper), which is basically shock value
2)and the 'How could they let THAT happen!?' kind (Arlong/Nami, Enel/Nami, Kuro/Kaya) which is actually an intriguing story idea, but so dark it makes you want to commit suicide.
