Eh, originally I wanted to argue for the existence of this topic, but seeing the replies so far, I understand why vs. threads aren't allowed. It seems that most shonen fans, no matter how intelligent they may be otherwise, are simply incapable of holding a thoughtful conversation on a character's abilities as compared to another's. Must be a fan thing.

I don't know. "Cool" isn't the word I'd use. In my opinion, everything doesn't have to be connected to Roger and Zoro's sensei doesn't really look like someone who's ever been a pirate or anything. I'm perfectly content with him simply being a good swordsman living on a remote island with his daughter, maintaining a dojo. And please try to make your posts a bit more coherent, they are really hard to read. Punctuation is your friend.

Why oh why do the chapters have to end on such cliffhangers? Now I have to wait another week before I get to know what happens between Luffy and Rayleigh and how the battle between the pirates and marines is gonna go.

Okay, I just love two things about this chapter. The first is, of course, Raleigh himself. It's so awesome that he's Gold Roger's former first mate and he looks cool too. The second is how Kidd seems to be walking around accompanied by random Slipknot rejects.

EDIT: Oh my gods, I just realized why Raleigh looks so familiar! He totally looks like Hohenheim of Light!

Ah, damnit, I wanted to be the one to mention that. As poignant and sad as the scene was, that other scene from Yellow Submarine was the first one to come to mind at it. Think it was intentional, in a cruel way?

Actually, I had this dream two nights ago, but Nightwish is one of my favourite metal bands.

So, I can't remember all of the details, but I was in One Piece and I had my own pirate crew composed of Buggy, Coby, Helmeppo, Ferdinand (a fanmade character created on the Capslock One Piece LJ community, the mpreg son of Sanji and Zoro), my sister and some nameless extras. It took place a few years after the World Government has been deposed at the fictional end of One Piece and the plot was that somehow Hogback was mind-controlling some of CP9 and forcing the other members to do his bidding through threatening the mind-controlled ones. The ones not mind-controlled were Lucci, Blueno, Jyabura and Fukurou, I think. Spandam was nowhere to be found. Anyway, Hogback was using CP9 to commit heinous crimes for him and my crew was attacked by them. We fought and they beat us soundly, killing a few of the nameless extras in the process and then they escaped. By that time I knew something was up. CP9 escaping from a fight they won without killing everyone?
So then, out of curiosity and wanting vengeance for the killed extras, my crew began searching for CP9 and training to defeat them. And we managed to meet some of them a few times, but could never fight. Then when we actually fought, we beat them, but they escaped alive again.
And now comes the really weird part. They didn't run very far and we caught up with them, but for some reason we didn't want to fight any more. So we just kind of ignored each other. Except I met with Lucci a lot on the marketplace (WTF was Lucci doing shopping for groceries, that's obviously Blueno's job) and we struck up a friendship based on our admiration for each other's fighting ability (WTF I've been reading way too much Hajime no Ippo). So he told me how Hogback was controlling them and that he couldn't do anything against it because then his teammates would be killed (he obviously… uh, mellowed out over the years) and we finally agreed that my crew and they would have one last fight to determine who was better and maybe to free them from Hogback's control.
And then my alarm woke me up. On the bright side, it won't do that anymore, though.

I know there was supposed to be a thread about OP dreams, but I think it died about a year ago. Sorry if I'm wrong. If not, then this could be the new one for the same topic. So tell everyone about your weird dreams that show that you are way too obsessed with One Piece and/or have been using some strange mind-altering substances.

Meh. I dunno. It's possible that he will join, but I'm not entirely convinced. Brook lost his big fight on Thriller Bark and now that there's another pirate crew around that he might join, I'm not so certain that he'll be joining the Strawhats. But then again, there's Luffy. He said that he wanted Brook to be their musician and so far he's always gotten what he wanted in the end.

Okay, at this point I don't care about theories or anything. I just want to say, I can't wait to see Brook animated and hear that song of his.
