After seeing kin interacting with Zoro-Luffy in that secret passage, I´ve come to love seeing him in the crew. He sits so well among them that I might get disheartened if he doesn´t end up as a crewmember. What with the unconventional lift device going on
Chapter 735: "Fujitora's Intentions"
-
-
-
The dangerous guy that was going to be revealed in 2013 but Oda said that he made some changes and "that person" will appear in 2014.
So you want the two Big Mom pirates and that dangerous person near Sanji? Hasn't Sanji had enough? That's just cruel.
-
That's the thing man, Zoro being smart is so out of character and this might end up being a set up or something.
pretty sure zoros "plan" is about to go wrong in the worst way imaginable
-
So you want the two Big Mom pirates and that dangerous person near Sanji? Hasn't Sanji had enough? That's just cruel.
In my book Sanji needs another beat up, I call it 'The Realization' but I know that Oda won't let Sanji get beat up to the point where he might end up being kidnap as some people suggested but rather he will be save by "That person" who is heading to Dressrosa right now or he just get beaten up (Which I'll enjoy) and taken hostage or that person is actually a toy that will run wild after Sugar is knock unconscious (I rather see the latter though).
-
pretty sure zoros "plan" is about to go wrong in the worst way imaginable
Oh God, I love this idea. It'd be even funnier if this horrible idea results in Luffy and Zoro not even getting to fight Doflamingo/Pica, requiring the rest of the crew to save the day.
-
pretty sure zoros "plan" is about to go wrong in the worst way imaginable
Yeah, Luffy will definitely end up in the sky and will probably get spot it by someone and Zoro might get another round with Issho or better yet, we get to see a Zoro vs Pica, Kinemon vs Punk guy and Violet vs Baby 5 while Luffy breaks into Doflamingo's window (Law's flashback starts).
-

Sounds pretty good to me. It's impossible for Luffy to enter a building conventionally, so that works.
-
Do you guys think all the Doflamingo family members are DF users?
Trebol seems like he could be a zoan snail snail fruit model: slug.
Yeah as some people discovered, Mach does seem like a flying squirrel fruit user.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh and I've been thinking for a while, perhaps you guys mentioned it long time ago.
Could it be that Diamante is acting on his own with the deal about Bellamy?
He is called a genius by Doflamingo and this kinda proves his intelligence.
So he could be, just maybe, trying to backstab Doflamingo in some way. -
Do you guys think all the Doflamingo family members are DF users?
Trebol seems like he could be a zoan snail snail fruit model: slug.
Yeah as some people discovered, Mach does seem like a flying squirrel fruit user.I hope Gladius doesn't. But then again he seems just as weird as the rest.
-
That gives me the creeps
He gave the crosses idea back in Alabasta(to overcome Mr2 devil fruit). He isn't stupid at least not before the time skip or a little before.
-
That's the thing man, Zoro being smart is so out of character and this might end up being a set up or something.
We all need some Sanji right about now, but who knows why Oda hasn't show us the fight between them and for some reason I feel like "That person" will be involved in that fight.
Hm yeah it seemed he's being a little more assertive. But, you're probably right.
Why do you think he'll be brought in to this fight specifically?
pretty sure zoros "plan" is about to go wrong in the worst way imaginable
Haha Zoro acting smarter but it turns out he messed everything up. I could see that.

Do you enjoy seeing him suffer or something? lol I feel like he's done well against the opposition he's faced so far. In the position he's been put in(put himself in) he handled it exactly as I thought he would. Ol' Sunkist just needs a good fight to show what he's got.

I feel like that would be a good setup for Law's flashback

Is not that he's stupid, is just that is really weird seen him giving ideas, I also feel the same way about Luffy when he gets into his smart ass mode.

I won't say Sanji is outclassed (He's not) but seen four Strawhats against one of Big Mamas mother ships is just too much for the simple fact that Yonkou's crews are supposed to be average and above, I know Nami can swipe a bunch of them at the same time but you have at least two guys on that Ship that can give them a fight and Oda hasn't even revealed the Commander of that ship yet (Tamago seems like the one though) and Oda hasn't even focus on that side, which make me believe that nothing good will come from it.

That's the thing he/Oda keeps placing himself in dangerous situations that he can't really handle by himself. I don't really enjoy but If that sort of situation will help me accomplish my goal then yeah, I'll enjoy it.

I won't admit that they're pretty outnumbered and as much I want to see "that person". I always leaned towards Law's crew showing up to save Law. But end up helping out Sanji and co. in the meantime. I wonder when "that person" will show up though.

-

Well it's not like he created some crazy plan either. It's just an idea to get up there faster.
And Luffy is stupid. You can see him having a migraine from thinking, in Amazon Lily.
-
A few thoughts:
Cavendish isnt knocked out, just sleeping and may (through Hakuba (sp?)) end up causing a ruckus, perhaps even knocking out Sugar.Fujitora has previously shown to be a bit 'reckless' while 'testing' his ability, may end up destroying some stuff for the SH while attempting to capture them.
Fujitora's made a decision, but has anything been mentioned about Akainu, last I recall he was upset about the situation and went to see the Elder Stars. Just wondering how this might end up changing things, short & long-term.
Find it hilarious Zoro gave Luffy directions, even more so since he'd probably get lost on the stairs.
Nice to see Franky fighting w/o the General, hopefully Robin gets something to do as well.
There's sooooo much happening in this arc, tons of possibilities, it's fantastic!
-
@Fire Fist:
So you're saying Sabo cut off Z's hand when he was 14 years old?
Nah, I think when Z's hand was cut off, Sabo wasn't even born yet, so it can't be him(if Z is that Canon). Also the matter of having a DF..
I'd've really loved it if that Schi that cut the arm turned out to be Dofla! -

But Law's crew are in Zou and they don't know what's going on on Dressrosa but anything can change If Bepo sees Law's vivre card. It will be great to see Bepo again that's for sure.
I really don't what Oda's plan is with Sanji right now. I feel like he's setting Sanji up for something big. But that's just me. What's your goal?
My goal is the Mera Mera No Mi

Is not a wow plan as you mentioned but is an idea and Zoro is no the type of guy to be thinking and giving ideas but rather acting and Luffy is actually smart (ie: when he stopped Vivi. Only example that comes to mind right now) but like he said in Fishman Island he likes to take things slow and he's a carefree men.
-
Just read the chapter. I like how Oda presented/hinted Fuji's idea of justice, maybe a flashback soon to detail why? Anyway, LOVED the interactions between Luffy, Zoro, and Kinemon. Their disguises made it all the funnier. Can't wait to see Sabo in action although Rebecca got the short end of the stick by having to compete back to back matches. I wonder what they are going to do with Hakuba/Cabbage though…
-

As much as I would love to see Law crew things would really start to be ridiculous with the whole to Zou or not to Zou.
Zoro think I really don't see why people thnk he doesn't. Just look at why he wanted to take out Oz. He simply don't propose super plans. Luffy get an headache just tying to figure out what he needs to do to get back to the archipelago. War having dying people is pretty common knowledge.
-
So are we all thinking Cavendish vs Trebol? Pretty boy vs Ugly thing

If we don't assume Rebecca is the obvious weakest link, then yeah, she got the short stick. But if we assume she is, then it's completely irrelevant, because Jesus/Bart/Sabo/Diamante are 100% rested up.
(Although at this point, I'd love to see some sort of surprise/fluke victory for Rebecca.)
-
So are we all thinking Cavendish vs Trebol? Pretty boy vs Ugly thing
I'll pay to see this.
But I also kinda wanted Robin and Usopp to tackle some bigshots.
-
Although in my own view there will be no problems when Fujitora make the suggestion I found this interesting
-

I'd've really loved it if that Schi that cut the arm turned out to be Dofla! No, he was 14, just like the man said. Z's arm was cut 9 years ago. Since Sabo is as old as Ace, and Ace was 20 when he died, that means Sabo is now in 22nd/23rd age of his life. So he was about 14 9 years ago.
And it's not Dofla, nor anyone we ever saw. Read the history part of Zephyr's wikia.
@The:
Although in my own view there will be no problems when Fujitora make the suggestion I found this interesting
Well there's nothing there that wasn't covered in this thread as well. Oda made no secret that marines don't like Shichibukai that much. Smoker, Akainu, even Sengoku. And it's like a main theme of entire last movie. And Zephyr's past can also be considered canon.
-
I'll pay to see this.
But I also kinda wanted Robin and Usopp to tackle some bigshots.
In my dreams I wanted to see Usopp vs Gladius since they both look like snipers but it looks like he might be going after Violet instead.
On that note, I don't hate Rebecca like most do but Violet seems like the most interesting Riku family member at the moment. Maybe cause I was a little underwhelmed with Rebecca's power and backstory or the fact that she was outclassed as a fighter by Cavendish who deserved to win block D, but Violets powers seem interesting and she actually showed the slightest interest in Sanji which is rare indeed lol
-

Yeah, something to look forward from Fujitora. As for Rebecca, I don't think that was the case. From her previous fight in D block, she didn't received even a single blow so she only need to recover from the fatigue cause by the fight, and the time for preparing the new ring should be sufficient.
I wonder if Zoro's plan really a smart move? Wouldn't it be faster if Luffy just grab the other 3? I thought that this was going to be a joke from Oda later on XD -
@The:
Although in my own view there will be no problems when Fujitora make the suggestion I found this interesting
Please, I've been saying that for months now.
And now I need to commission someone for that Akainu artwork I had in mind. Namely, him as a two hundred meters tall magma giant, burning down Mariejoa.
Shame I can't draw. I would've made it myself.
I lobby for Sakazuki as the world leader! And then we will have JUSTICE and magma fists to spare!
-
A great chapter.
! If you noticed what Sabo said, "It might cause a bit of a ruckus, but I won't be too hard". Sabo is confident that he's going to win The Corrida Colosseum tournament. I wonder how strong he is.
At the Toy house, I think it's gonna be Franky versus Senior Pink, Mach Bice and Vice Admiral Bastille since they're technically allies. That's a tough situation. I'm not sure if Franky can handle that.
Also, Fujitora is not just a plot device. Love that panel when he said, "Completely destroy the system of the Ouka Shichibukai". He simply emphasizes on getting rid of the system, not the warlords. Nothing indicates specifically eliminating each warlord. I'd like to see how it'll affect the balance of power. Supernovas are the 4th world power at the moment, more or less, but instead of keeping the balance they will destroy it.
Anyhow, I expect some of the Warlords/Former Warlords will go to SH's side in the end. -
@The:
Although in my own view there will be no problems when Fujitora make the suggestion I found this interesting
Holy shit that is an amazing theory! Can you imagine The marines taking over the government similar to order 66 from star wars
-
I feel like there's a missing link between World Nobles and marines. What is it that makes the marines so loyal? It's not like they are especially likeable or anything. Just a bunch of dicks. I get why lower ranked marines wouldn't want to oppose them. But why would someone like Sengoku or Akainu or even Kong obey them completely, especially since their men would probably follow. Even if they wouldn't, there still has to be some kind of system or a leverage that forces marine top ranks to behave, just in case. Gorosei didn't strike me as leaving anything to chance.
Maybe they are that link. I'm not really convinced they are World Nobles, mostly because it was never stated. But apart from that, they behave differently, and more in touch in reality than World Nobles that were shown so far. And all of them give an impression of battle hardened veterans, some more than others. It's evident from their body builds, a weapon, scars, pragmatism…
-
Good chapter,*7/10. Would've liked to see some Sanji though but it's getting more and more likely that he won't appear in this arc again.
Fujitora is pretty cool even though I hope that he just ignores the Strawhats when he notices that they are not endangering civilians. Doflamingo attacking him was probably just to provoce and see how he reacts.*
I didn't like Luffy going up there alone though, I don't like all these seperations. I hope that they won't be seperated somehow.
What I actually liked was that the Strawhats finally have*worthy opponents. It's the first time they fight another pirate crew (atleast a proper one) and the Doflamingo crew is pretty awesome. They show endurance and comradeship like the Strawhats. Usually it's the Strawhats who get praised for their endurance and comradeship. Now they are facing a crew with the same bonding. Gonna be awesome.
And Sabo is cool aswell. He's apparently not ALL serious now.
-
I imagine that there are layers of the noble hierarchy that is actually competent. I mean at one point they (the nobles) were all capable leaders of their own nations, i imagine that the elder stars are descendants of the five mightiest families, and that they were specifically brought up to be leaders, encompassing all that they need to know. Where as the nobles we've seen were of the spoiled village idiot variety.
And that Doffy's dealings with them is about there being a faction within the nobility that wants to overthrow the elder stars.
-

Maybe none of the marine leaders was ruthless enough to just stage the coup. There is also a problem of world balance.
And here my man Akainu enters the stage. Could you imagine how more threatning the WG would be if it was run by him, and not Gorosei? Probably won't happen though. Probably.
-
The question still stands though are the 5 elders only around 60-70 years old and unable to combat? They seem to have some seduction effect on other Celestial Dragons too by keeping them busy with the luxury of life. At this stage the theory that they have been using Bonney's DF in order to live long might be the case. Although the theory has a flaw in it. (Shouldn't they die when the user of the DF dies -possible Bonney might be their equal in age)

I thought of this as well. Really, the most likely reason why Bonney would be so important to WG is her ability. Since we don't know how it works, her effect might be lasting, like Iwankov's.
But there's another problem. Why are the looking old if they can look like they are in their 30s, for example? Unless her ability has a limitiation of some kind. You know, if her age increase or decrease were limitless, she could kill anyone she wants, either by causing their cells to fall apart, or by turning them to embryos. Damn, I hate it when I go too far and the ability suddenly doesn't make sense. -
I think WG+Marine plan to destroy the most dangerous pirate crews, the seven and Kaido, taking advantage of the situation created by the alliance of supernovae and the quietness that the seven have guaranteed by their title. Doing this they would eliminate most of the illegal activities, leaving only small ad separated pirate crews, little problems for WG+Marine.
But the coup is still a viable theory for me, actually both can happen. A coup in this situation would advantage pirates actually and many countries would leave the wg.

Damn, I hate it when I go too far and the ability suddenly doesn't make sense. You are right. The things is we need to 'make sure' the Gorosei will stand until Luffy destroys it. Because Raftel and poneglyphs and void century are concerned with the Gorosei and the meaning it holds.. If the meaning or they ideals is able to live then it doesn't matter for us who the Gorosei are. This leaves us again at the exact place where we started though. Gorosei not having the brute strength to protect themselves from their own forces.
On the other hand it is always possible Bonney had to go through a procedure which might leave her in a state where she can't decide.
But it is in the realm of possibilities and pure speculations. And I don't like it in here :)
-
I always thought that the gorosei have been alive for 800 years since the ancient kingdom, and that Bonney fruit was what they used . Until the previous owner died or commuted suicide?
-
I really dislike the theory that Bonney keeps the Gorosei young. I don't know.
-
I really dislike the theory that Bonney keeps the Gorosei young. I don't know.
Same here. I'd like to believe that persons who become younger or older restore to their current age after a while.
Otherwise, is she can manipulate age freely like that, her ability would be almost as broken as Magellan's. -
I can't help but think that Viola's plan is not good. Using a "secret" entrance is a great idea, but what if Fujitora - for example - uses observation haki, wouldn't he be able to say "Hey ! Some guys are using a secret passage over here ! Maybe they brought ramen !" ?
I mean… any user of observation haki can make this plan fail easily... Or maybe I missed something ?
EDIT : Sorry if this was already posted/if I made Enlgish mistakes

I don't think his ability is so great that he can sense the entire royal palace and everyone in it. In fact, only Enel so far could have done it, since his devil fruit amped up his Mantra. And yes, we saw Coby hearing random thoughts of people in entire Marineford, but it was distracting him, to say the least.
But even if he can sense a "strong presence" other than Dofla's mean approaching, it's not like Luffy, Zoro and Kinemon are coming to steal jewelry from Dofla's hidden safe. They are coming to wreck shit and kick ass. And their way of getting up is too fast for someone to come and stop them on time.

If I remember correctly, at Fishman Island Luffy detects Caribou kidnapping Shirahoshi from a good range (the palace seems big). But then again, as you said the group is actually attaking, they may not care about discretion.
-
Well all he sensed was some negative presence. Didn't know the specifics. Fujitora is probably much better at it but it would suck if he could exactly pinpoint what's going on everywhere around him. Which was partly hinted while he was levitating that battleship. But that's my personal preference. Don't like it when there are a lot of characters who can sense everyone. Kinda removes the surprises.
On the bright side, chances are, Fujitora is probably the best Observation Haki user in the world, due to having to live with blidness. Don't think his level of sensitivity is something we should expect from many characters.
-
Since we see Franky fighting, I wonder if he has more aces up his sleeve, like the good 'ol centaur-mode. Since the TS he has those 2 scars on his body and yet I wondered if they're just left from the explosion at Vegapunks island or if they hide another of Franky's "inventions". I drew a pic of him how I imagine another purpose of those scars:
I drew his endoskeleton just like we saw it right b4 the TS. But he could hide anything else underneath that "drawbridge". -

He thinks but he doesn't give ideas, so when he does we as reader find it weird, is like If Robin start talking all of the sudden. Luffy had a headache but like I said his no as dumb as people may think and Yes, people die but he actually thought how to handle the situation and he understood Vivi's feeling perfectly fine just by looking at the situation they were in, we also have the Coby example at the beginning of the story, a stupid person wouldn't be able to accomplish those things like Luffy those and never forget how battle smart Luffy is. I think you can say he has a different type of intelligence.
-
But Law's crew are in Zou and they don't know what's going on on Dressrosa but anything can change If Bepo sees Law's vivre card. It will be great to see Bepo again that's for sure.
I was hoping that'd be the case. I mean they would have to know he's in danger if Bepo has his vivre card. Can't imagine they wouldn't act on it.
My goal is the Mera Mera No Mi
Oh yeah. I remember now that you were proving some valid points that he should get it in the Mera Mera thread.

I drew his endoskeleton just like we saw it right b4 the TS. But he could hide anything else underneath that "drawbridge".Oh wow I never thought of that as a drawbridge. Pretty cool Zacho nice prediction. I wonder what else Franky could do. It'd be awesome if he brought back some classic moves like the centaur. Personally hoping he busts out some Fresh fire.
-

He's Observation Haki is that great, Rayligh counted how many wild animals were on that Island and If Issho sense them then he gonna/should stop them because that's why he's there.
-

If Franky has upgraded his centaur move I'm hoping it goes from centaur to unicorn and then pegasus. An Unipegataur Cyborg would be much appreciated. Even if the original centaur was pretty useless…
