@Hiroy:
Awesome episode! It was really cool seeing multiple factions all duke it in Imiashi style. Nudist Beach was a relatively weak resistance group. Sort of expected more from them as far as weapons goes. But everything else? Just overall entertaining and was well worth two quick buildup episodes. Next episode seems like it would address one problem I had with this one. I'm still not a huge fan of Satsuki constantly gloating about all her plans being a facade to something bigger. She done this several times already, and I'll admit it's getting a bit old. You'd think at this point she makes her objectives as clear as day. So yeah, hopefully I do learn a bit more about the grand plan next week. If not, then some exposition to what exactly the "god robe" is and its purpose would be great too. There's that theory that Sanketsu is really the soul of Ryuko's father, but I honestly believe it was just a small part of himself… like that artist expression of putting yourself into your work.
Yeah I agree with you. . .I wasn't too thrilled with the episode (save for the awesome battle between Kiruin and Ryuko) but yeah somethings just didn't sit right with me about that episode. . .
And for nudist beach being so weak. . .
Hopefully next week will shed some more light in regards to "Why am I watching this?"
This is the only episode that I actualyl didn't like (save for the awesome battle sequence. . .)I felt like it was missing something, I felt like there was something that was supposed to happen but didn't and I felt a bit disapointed about it. I don't know why but maybe Kiruin's stupid speech about she's doing something greater but not telling us is a part of it (since it's most likely taking down Ragyo) I want to like this show more. . .but it's not really giving me anything to really rave about (except for the awesome fight sequence)
The music chick really annoys me (her powers are cool though, but as a character. . .so annoying)
Maybe the pacing was too fast? I dunno, Maybe it's a combination of stuff that just didn't sit right when I watched it.
