Baoh? Will the scientist guy be there to scream his attack names for him, while also loudly announcing that "BAOH HAS A LASER CANNON"?

Currently, it is exclusive to Japanese PSN, so you'll need to create an account there.
Thanks for answering. That sucks. I would have totally shelled out for Kira, Iggy and whatever part 7 characters they got.
-
@.access:
Did I see Iggy farting on Dio's face?
-
FUCKING BAOH!!
I hope he has a laser cannon as his finisher, I will so main this guy.Anway, my wishlist sorted by parts:
-Speedwagon
-Lisa Lisa, Stroheim
-Old Joseph, Vanilla Ice, Mariah
-No more Diamond is not Crash, please (Yukako would be fine, though)
-Risotto, Trish
-FF, Anasui, Weather Report
-Diego, Mountain Tim, Sandman/Soundman, Hot Pants, Ringo
-Another Jojolion character if possible -
-
One of Iggy's alternate costumes is his original design lol
-
I prefer the original "ugly cute" Iggy over "mascot cute" Iggy, myself.
-
Since Baoh wasn't revealed as a DLC, does this mean he is in the standard roster?
-
so chubby is actually a dlc character. Well that's better i guess
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
so i guess baoh was the secret 34th character. No idea who he was but okay sure

It was always known Shigekiyo was a DLC.
The "34 roster" was defined by the fans like this not because there would be 34 characters in the game itself, but because the game guide announced it would contain the moveset for 34 characters, composed of 32 regular (already in the game) and 2 DLC (SHA!Kira and Shigekiyo).
Since the guide announcement came before Shigekiyo's reveal, we didn't knew yet who the 34th character (the 2nd DLC) would be, but that's old news already.Iggy, Fugo and Baoh already take the sum up to 37 and yes, Baoh will be a DLC, expect that, unlike Fugo and Iggy, we just got a quick tease of him, not a full reveal + release date and price.
-
oh really? i don't remember anyone saying that prior. I thought it was said that we knew 33 characters if you didn't include dlc kira so we were waiting for one more
-

Add an evil scientist who is seriously speedwagoning all the time and you have it in a nutshell,at least as far as the OAV adaptation is concerned. -
now, I've heard rumors that a european release was gonna happen.
and I'd much rather import a euro copy than a japanese copy, but does anyone have anything to back up this rumor? or am I just listening to crazy people again?
-
Jojo is complicated because of the music references.
But if it does come out in europe, I'll get that one.
How many chances are there of a "Definitive version" with all the DLC?
-
Jojo is complicated because of the music references.
That's something that I often read but I don't get it.
Except ACDC and Wham, I don't see which music reference can cause problem.
The other music references are made of common english words or names.
Is there really a problem if a game has characters or other things called "Cars", "Stone Free" or "Crazy Diamond" ? -
Okay okay, WHAT THE FUCK BAOH IS ARAKI'S ?
WHAT THE HELL I DIDN'T KNOW THAT WHAT THE HELL !!!
I'm real sorry but WHAT THE FUCKING HELL ???
-

Is there really a problem if a game has characters or other things called "Cars", "Stone Free" or "Crazy Diamond" ?I think it's more of a possibilty of being sued at all that's scaring the potential licensors.Among the many referenced musicians, there are probably some overly protective ones that will sue regardless of whether they have a good case or not, which would be a massive legal pain in the ass.
Being dragged through the courts is something most would rather avoid I imagine.

Dat posing and Dr.Baldwagon should've given it away.

Prince is more or less the reason America never got the Vento Aureo game.

Apparently someone datamined and found these "slots" in the code.

I wonder what Josuke says to himself.
The Polnareff one too.
-
There is actually a "CMN" for all of the numbers. It simply means "common" (common elements). So I doubt that Wang Chung will be in.
-
Lol, fucking Wang Chung
That would be hilarious, but before a Wang Chung I want a Ravening Squirrel
-
It's out on PSN for about 8000 yen!

To be able to play online, you need to download the 170~something MB file with a picture of Kira and Shigechi in it. You can find it in the playstation store

Joseph does a better WRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYY than Dio does, wow
Also DOJYAAAAAAAAN~

Details like this make me feel happy.
I keep hearing some bad rumors about a limited campaign mode (Pay for unlimited use) and 2ch review bombing, though. -
Story mode Parts 1-3
-
I'll copy a summary of the many complaints this game is getting on Amazon from japanese buyers. It seems the main complaint BY FAR is the DLC. (this summary was made by a gamefaqs user called werasdzxc, btw):
Main Complaints:
-DLC prices/DLC/Amount of DLC incoming (even the good rating reviews have complaints)
-Game movement and attacks feels sluggish and slow/clunky/unrefined
-Loading times (~15 seconds)
-AI sucks
-Infinites
-Damage is weird, combos do very low damage and supers do very high amounts
-Netcode sucks, only two people rooms
-Story mode is barebones (I see a few mentions of their Naruto games)
-Campaign mode uses Free-to-play game model (but I see some guys saying that this isn't so bad for the people who only get time to play 2-3 hours a day)There's one guy that said that the game is fine for players/beginners who just play for fun but a fighting game vet will be disappointed.
–----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, from what I've seen, you can't turn off the easy mode sequence (easy beat or something like that), so spamming square button basically gives you a chain into a super combo. Not a fan of this, definitely.
Well, gotta wait on that; it does seem like an awesome JoJo fanservice game, and they did use Capcom's awesome game as a mold, gameplay wise, so that's awesome for me; still, the DLC politic is exceedingly dickish (just launched the game and there're already 4 or more dlc characters, and if that leaked list is right, that makes it like 8+ dlc characters almost on launch. . .). I guess there will never be a "complete" game on launch ever again. . .
Oh, and I'm quite out of the loop on that, but I've heard that the new videogame evil is the F2P or free to play. What is it, and why is it so devilish?
-
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Also, How come they don't have a Part 8 Story mode?????????
-

The gist is free to play games were games you'd "buy" it for free and you'd pay for extra stuff you don't actually need in the game. It's the devil because it's become that you'd buy the game for money and then buy stuff you'd need in the game.
Jim Sterling has a video on this if you can stand a fat British guy speaking (and swearing).
-
Not only that but basically some games, the most notorious one being Final Fantasy All The Bravest, limit the amount of time basically you can play a game until your time "recharges" and from the sound of things, that kinda sounds like what's going on with the story mode.

Ok, this is pretty terrible. I mean, the original idea might be somewhat right, but for a game that costs at the very least $60, how the hell can they make you pay extra money for spending X ammount of time playing an online mode?
I don't like the direction the industry is heading.
I mean, for example, 34 characters is cool and all, but why did they come to the conclusion that anything above that number is extra work, and thus we should pay extra money for them? Cause these dlc characters were finished way before the launch date, and included in the disc (I think); why is it the "right thing" to do to charge extra money for that content? I mean, I know the answer, it's pretty damn obvious, but it's really enfuriating anyways.
When the only answer is "yeah, we could have sold a $60 game with the full package, a full package that we had ready and it's on the disc already, but we want to make more money", yeah, it's pretty damn heartbreaking. . .
And yeah, I know, beating the dead horse blah blah blah.

They do.

"Hey boss, shouldn't we be saving Purple Haze for Fugo?"
-
to play devil's advocate for the day1 dlc and such -
people who complain that they hate having to pay for things they ought to be getting for free, assume that they would have been getting the characters anyway.
this might not be the case. If the team was given a certain budget and timeframe for the game, then they do all they can with that money/time. So they make 34 characters or so, it's pretty good. Along the way they think of others they'd like to do, but realize that they don't have the resources to create them. So, they decide to make them anyway, but get the revenue to fund that work by charging for the characters as DLC.
in short, if they didn't charge for the DLC, they wouldn't be making them at all. and I would rather have the OPTION of buying extra characters than never having Iggy playable in any form whatsoever.
Now, it's also possible they are trying to scam consumers out of our money by intentionally not including everything they were able to accomplish within their budget on the retail disc, but you also don't know that. either way, I don't feel like this is an example of cutting out major features of the game to sell you later, so I'm not going to get angry about it. There are much more grievous examples of greedy DLC.
-
They do.
Well that was just a joke because I wasn't expecting it for the given amount of material lol

I thought it was supposed to be Stone Free, but now that you mention it…

Fugo and Iggy are cool because the datamining thing earlier shows that they were planned to be put in but it took that time between when the developers finish and hand off the game to whoever mass produces the games to the game coming out to finish.
Kira and Fatty are lame because they were finished in that time and they are just dlc to make extra money.
I see what you're saying, just thought I should clarify my thoughts.
