Trying not to look through these posts while I try to post. I just finished season 2. I'm kind of sad, because I liked Jane  . I wish I could just sit down and watch the rest of the episodes in one marathon but I can't. I want to be caught up.

Season 2 was by far the most depressing for me. "We're gonna throw it all away!" And then…
But Jane was indeed a cool girl. Really open-minded, she could've gone far.

On that note, I've notice that, towards the end of each season…
! Walt tends to do some maor thing that shifts him further down the dark side.
! -At the end of season 2, he let Jane die (I still don't totally understand why he did)
-At the end of season 3, he had Jesse kill Gale
-And, of course, at the end of season 4, he poisoned a fucking kid (the only way I can rationalize this is that he was left with absolutely no other option. I mean, he was prepared to throw everything away and start a new life somewhere else before that plan fell through) -

Of course it ended up doing him more harm than good.
I believe Walt had good intentions when he let Jane die. Walt was somewhat protective of Jesse back then...not as much now.
Edit: I'm a Jane fan too though
-
While Jane was a bad influence on Jesse i don't think Walt was being protective there. He was removing what he saw as someone who was getting between Walt+Jesse+the Cook. Or rather letting that person remove themselves. He was being selfish, not protective. I think the chain reaction that follows is a commentary on the ripples Walt makes through so many peoples lives without realizing or caring. Jane was kinda of a baby step in terms of a lot of things for him. To look at another human being and watch them die so you can go on doing what you want to do was one of his first steps on the road to becoming what he ends up becoming. If you can let someone die then you can probably take it a little further and a little further.

BB being on the front page = happy poodle!
Also to everyone catching up!
What is yer favorite episode so farrr!?
-
This season? I think my favourite was the train heist, though critiqued as not be a traditional BB formula episode, I liked it a lot. My favourite part was Jesse coming up with the idea…actually anytime Jesse does anything these days I have a smile on my face. He's such an awesome character compared to what he used to be. Bitch.

For those interested, found this on imgur probably from reddit maybe

I like how they had to get it in that SKYLAR IS AN ANNOYING BITCH
Jeez

It's so difficult for me to have such strong negative feelings for her…especially when she's in the right to act the way she does. I just wish for once her actor didn't make that INFURIATING face she always makes...you know...that one.
Ugh…could slap her.

Nope, been marathoning Dexter, and I am relieved to see some female characters properly portrayed in a series with a male anti-hero. Deb is seriously awesome, and Rita is a little doe-eyed (as Deb said herself) but she's so sweet, gotta love her.
Lyla is an intended bitch though…and she did her job.

I'm talking about Reddit.

I frequent reddit…don't get the reference.

I just began to see BB two weeks ago or so, and i already finished the last chapter tonight. In my opinion, this is the best series today without a doubt , really great. The break's worth it.

! I'm really hating Skylar so far. I can kind of understand where she's coming from but she's treating Walter like some inhuman monster and it's petty as hell. She's doing everything she can to screw him over. And Jessie's kind of screwed up, calling Jane's voicemail just to here her voice. I feel so sad for him :cwy: .
I just finished the third episode of season 3. -

I just finished the third episode of season 3.! Wait 'til seasons 4 and 5 and then see if you think Skyler is unjustified in treating Walt like an inhuman monster.

Yeah, later on her behaviour is definitely justified but at that point a little warmth and caring towards Walt from her side could have changed the outcome as we see it now in the series.

Okay, to be honest, I never got the sense that she should be kinder or more understanding to Walt at any point in the show. I mean, he would go away for hours on end without telling her where he was and he constantly lied to her.
Maybe you could give me some examples?
-
yeah I had a marathon on this too and it's a cracking show. All caught up now!
Man, I am sorta coming around to being empathetic to Skylar but I have found her very intolerable. Probably because of the early concept of her husband getting Cancer and starting meth cooking to secure her and the kids future and then she turns around and says she doesn't want the cash - it sorta makes it all in vain. She fucked Ted and said she's waiting it out for Walt to die of Cancer. She always does her little stunts like driving off and personally I don't think she really intended to kill herself but it was just a cry for attention to the matter.
Didn't realise Cranston was Hal at first, lol. Bryan's winning an Emmy tonight for sure.
-
-
NO! Gian Carlo so close.
but Aaron Paul is so adorbs
Honestly as long as one of those two won I would have been fine, though some of those Emmy voters are gonna get a visit form Gus Fring's ghost very soon

Holy shit, the ending to season 3 episode 7.
! I was like "Are they going to kill Hank off? Is he going to manage to live?" So tense.

That episode got really intense at the end, I loved every minute of it.
And the funny thing is, it's the type of scene that you could practically see in any generic action movie, but given the character development and plot build-up in Breaking Bad, it was all that more surreal and suspenseful. It's reasons like this that make me love Breaking Bad.
Just wait until you see the last 3 episodes of that season.

I'll just leave this here…....

Didn't know a thread for this existed.
I finished this series during a 2 week period back in November. I haven't been able to enjoy many American TV shows in the past few years, but this one caught my attention somehow and I watched the crap out of it.
The cliffhanger at the end of the last episode sucks though. Sometimes I wish I didn't marathon through it so fast, because waiting 7 months is going to be brutal.

What's even more brutal than the wait is knowing the fact that this upcoming season will be the last one. I'm glad that they're ending it while the going is still good, but I'm sure as hell gonna miss this show.

That's where it needs to end though, so I completely support their decision. Hank and Walt's conflict has been looming and is the culmination of everything. Those first 5 minutes of the next season, whether they're related to Hank or not, are going to be some of the tensest on television because you know that cheeky smile of Hank's as he confronts Walt is coming. This time though, there'll be a whole sinister gleam to it under those pearly whites.

Yeah. Like Demonicpoodle said, a series needs to end when the times comes. I've always hated shows that overstay their welcome (Good for the first few seasons and then create new plotlines that keep the series going, but reduce the quality).
-
Yep definitely agree with the both of you! There's only so far Walt can go before things get ridiculous and unrealistic. Crazy thing about the last episode was…
! Right before Hank goes to the bathroom, the family had finally came together. Walter had hung up his lab coat, and him and Sklyer were at peace. It was a happy ending. I loved it, but… BUT... a happy ending wouldn't had sufficed. So that ending of the last episode is kinda symbolic to how we as the audience feel: "We would love the show to last if it could, but it can't"

hahaha. That casual shrug… Season 5!? What the fudge. That's not even remotely accurate because that's past the time when Bryan Cranston's face transcended to walrus form.
(I love Chinese bootlegs <3 Off topic bootleg inside:)

! Die Hard -
When is the new episode gonna air?
-
The other day Aaron Paul said July 14th but later retracted his statement saying he jumped the gun on announcing that and it may be earlier. Though that does fall in line with last season, which puts the final episode on Labor Day weekend (Dragon*Con weekend for me) so I may miss the finale… Ughh.

http://www.tmz.com/2013/03/25/breaking-bad-script-stolen-bryan-cranston/
Someone stole a script of the final season, just a few months away from it airing. Then he stupidly talks in a restaurant about it like what happens in the show sometimes. Note: a copy of the script. The comments seem to be going full chicken-with-their-heads-cut-off mode.

Not sure if anyone mention this yet but the 2nd half of season 5 (8 episodes) will air August 11. Wonder how this is all going to end? I'm sure a major character is going to die.
Here is a fun lego parody to keep us entertain until the premiere Warning there are some spoiler for season 2-3

-
For as long as they've put off the last few episodes, the finale better be fucking amazing.
-
Pretty much exactly one month as far as I'm aware to the finale.
Here's a nice summary and exploration into some themes of Breaking Bad you may not have noticed, with an emphasis on symbolism:
-
BUMP.
Hank finally gets off the shitter this Sunday! -
(figured this would be bumped sooner or later)
Two days left, yes? I've got just seven more episodes to watch on Netflix, then I'll be all caught up. Can't wait.

If you're anything like me, Season 5.1 flies by very quickly. Enjoy :D
And yeah, I'm excited for the final part of the show. Time to once again get addicted to that crystal blue.
! I'm talking about Aaron Paul's eyes…
-
This final half-season might be the first show in a long time that I actually watch on the air instead of pirating. Crazy.

AMC is marathoning season 4 on their channel today.
