Not balance, as Blaziken was already the strongest of all starters.
Pokemon X & Y

Its still unfair, starters are supposed to be equal even if they actually aren't so every one of them should get one, they might not get it all at the begining but GF can add the others by DLC later.
-
Once again the game footage is whem they look the best.
Though that oficial art comes realy close.
And @Wagomu look what your goat can do.

Well I would think they all have to, with Blazikens inclusion. Sure, he's the strongest, but starters have always been like this special group, every single gen, picking and choosing between them, when pretty much every starter is at least someones favorite? That wouldn't be right or fair at all. Also you know the starters would all have pretty boss Mega designs -w-
-
Thanks for the clarifications as to the Megavolutions being battle-only. That's somewhat a relief, even if some of them (Mawile especially) I'd have liked to be a full evo (though the Lucario and Blaziken evos look more like the originals with extras rather than new stages). I'm not enough of a strategist to be much good at the meta-game, so this probably won't change things too much for me.
Why are you so amazing?
You're just saying that because I gave you excessive amounts of whatever item was in the sixth slot in your backpack.

Oh those were Rare Candies, obviously. :ninja:

Well then you're safe then; this is strictly the mega-game.
Also you sure love Missingno!

Seems Serebii had the scans translated wrong, MegaLucario isn't a fire type, it has the same typing as Lucario.

…I thought the goats were only going to be rideable in-city?
Well, if that becomes a thing, and other things are rideable too...

Oh, I think that actually makes me like MegaLucario even less, to be honest. I mean sure we don't need another Fire/Fighting type, but now those red designs and black veiny lines that I thought were supposed to signify something like those volcano/magma lines, are just random.

They said diferent pokemon can be riden in diferent places, I believ at some point we ride a Rhyorn and blast some rocks with it or something of that sort, it was shown at E3 I believe, so we probably can ride pokemon in some places but they will not be ours, kinda like this seems like a ranch of Skiddos/Gogoats and the Gogoats in the city are from the city also not actually ours.
Also I just talked yesterday about how I wanted a little vila/ranch thing and display some pokemon, gief this it can be a ranch like this one just put a big house there and let us have fun.

I like it its my favourite along with MegaBlaziken out of this new Megas.

To be fair, no one is quite "good" at metagame. You can pretend to be, but there's just too much random variables that prevent it from being entirely skill based(like a fighting game). It's kinda a community notes sort of thing. It took me a couple of days to catch the gist of it after quitting Pokemon and never really battling human players for years(or at all). After losing alot, I realized it was more luck draw, only with a predetermined set of favorite cards. (Well, atleast for double battles, which I prefer over singles anyway since "tiers" are more or less irrelevant/useless)
So yeah, it's just kinda fun seeing the ridiculous combinations people can come up with, and then learning to come up with your own. Not sure how it is for single battle battles, but the lack of a team dynamic makes me believe it's nothing but a wall vs sweep fest. Thus the need to divide tiers >_> Bleh

Good stuff so far, MegaEvos look like they'll be interesting…
Give us a Mega-Hitmonlee wearing Bruce Lee's yellow jumpsuit from Enter the Dragon, GameFreak!

That makes sense actually. Even so, I'd rather play against people I know for fun than against strangers for competitiveness. Lets me use some of my stranger favourite Pokemon tactics (I think I once battled my ex only using Metronome, for the fun of it).
-
Just have fun playing online its going to be even easier now with the PSS since we are always online(unless you turn it off or turn of your wireless switch), you can choose someone ask for a battle and battle them rigth way, or the new random battle thing with the PSS, we don't need to go to Pokemon centers anymore :D.
I don't play that much either but I like to do some random battles once in a while, problem is a lot of people leave if they are losing but that won't be a problem anymore since they are fixing it aka if you leave the battle its counted as a loss for you and a win for the guy you "ran" from.

Hahah. I know what you mean but,
you even encounter people that play exactly for that during random matchups.I recall this one match where both of our Pokemon had Water Absorb, and my opponent could have killed me at any given time(I was placed in a really impossible to win situation)
But my opponent kept healing me. And I kept on healing it. And during the rest of the match we were screwing around wasting turns(using buffs despite being maxed out) just to see how long we could have our fun until bored.
I think that lasted for 30-60 turns, but I'm not sure exactly. He was a good sport. There are also Magikarp trainers, and some people with some really odd choices. It's fun. My only gripe is there's no way to contact or keep in touch with randoms. Just to send a "Thank you" or something funny would be enough.

New electric mouse does nothing for me, its way too close to Raichu for my tastes.
Its certainly no Emolga, but what could be?
-
FFs, what is with these stupid electric types? Give them a damn evolution and make them useful - most of the electric types suck so badly, except the legendary and Rotom and 1 or 2 more which i forget.
Also, i really want a Mega Snorlax.
-
The new mouse is basically raichu if raichu actually looked like a mouse and not some weird unidentified creature
-
Since everyone else is wanting megas, give me a Mega Slaking with a mustache and an afro. And instead of Traunt, it has Moxie.
-
Is that a mouse? Looks more like a hamster, except for the long tail.
Do people really need a new electric rodent in every gen? It's not like there aren't any other cute marketable critters. -

I like HamsterChu and Lizard, Helioptile will evolve for sure Hamsterchu dunno but I hope so.

Seems to be an hamster or a chinchila to me also.
They have plenty of space to make diferent kinds of pokemon I like that some of this traditions are kept but thats just me, I wouldn't mind if they messed with the typing like they did with Marill, it was supposed to be the Pikaclone of Johto(or is infact) but I'm fine with them being electric and this one is electric fairy not just electric.

Ha, that sounds fun! Shame there's no way to identify those kinds of guys in advance. I'm still burnt from coming across so many players with hacked pokemon back in the 4th generation.
I guess this is one reason to play with friends, if you can.
-
They could have let all the other rodents be able to use light ball but nooo, only to the rat mascot is special the rest get to be forever useless. >_>
-
The ultimate insult would be to give Pikachu a Mega form without giving one to Raichu.
-
I f that happens them a single tear will drop slowly until it reaches the ground from both Surge and Volkener.
-
I actually wouldn't be surprised. Pikachu is the most famous pokemon and it'd be a gimmick the anime could use without actually evolving pikachu after all. -w-

http://www.pokemonxy.com/_ui/img/_en/screenshots/august_p14_06.jpgYES. This is the unholy power of Baphomet unleashed; the heretical black magick that assaults the laws of ordered reality. Goats can go UP hills.

I've actually mentioned that in Serebii, it pisses me off that migth actually be possibly, Pikachu is already better than Raichu because of the freaking light stone, it annoys me so much that they take a crap on Raichu like this all the time.
In the anime, they always love to show how Raichu is inferior to Pikachu every time the thing appears.
I f that happens them a single tear will drop slowly until it reaches the ground from both Surge and Volkener.
And me I love Raichu :(
Speaking of first gen favourites, hoping for Mega Primeape.

How would Muk look like?

I actually admit I'm kind of peeveed Blaziken got a mega evolution. You know, because the thing wasn't a beast of legendary proportions already. If Pikachu got one as well just because of popularity, I'd be annoyed too.
They should give one to pokemon that probably won't get evolutions but could use a boost. Like Tropius and Kangaskhan.
-
Mega Dragonite (that would be a bit overkill wouldn't it..)
-
The ultimate insult would be to give Pikachu a Mega form without giving one to Raichu.
This is 1000% absolutely going to happen.
They've had flying and surfing pikachus, after all.

Uuuuuurgh, I wish you hadn't said this, because now I'm genuinely afraid of it happening.

My favorite pokémon episode is still the one where Pikachu refuses to evolve and everyone accepts it and moves on. It teaches kids that you can just blatantly refuse to grow up and it's okay. Then again, considering how long the series has gone on, I'm starting to believe that, in the pokémon universe, age is a choice.

Quote worthy.

My favorite part of the anime is how Brock's parents up and abandoned him with 20+ siblings and then came back and everyone was like "oh okay."
-
I've done a good job avoiding spoilers for this game so far (I only know about the appearance of the 2 main legendaries, appearance of new Eeveelution, names and appearance of stage 1 starters) And apparently there's a new type…ew
Going into new generations as blind as a Zubat is the way to go

I seem to remember them stating that Brock's mom died. Or did 4kids mess that up?

I think they did that with Bulbasaur too.

I took that as Pikachu saying I know I got my ass curbstomped by Surge's Raichu but I don't need a stinking thunderstone to evolve into the same Pokemon to beat Surge's Raichu. Not as Pikachu refusing to grow up, also remembering how Charmeleon turned out maybe that was a good thing.
-
It's not like Ash forced Charmander to evolve, though. Pikachu would've actually had a reason to resent Ash…
-
^ I disregarded the fact that Charmander was an outsider pokemon unlike almost every other Pokemon Ash caught.
