Nah. You can tell when it was quoted with the quote feature because it actually links back to the quoted post. I doubt anyone would do that manually.

I actually did it manually once when cross-posting from another thread, not to mention a few times before that, before I understood how to use the multi-quote function. Although, that said, I do agree that I very much doubt that's the cause of it, or at least the sole cause, since I'm sure it's incredibly rare for anyone to do so.

As long as I'm posting, I suppose I'll add my voice to those who've already said they experience this problem. It almost seems a shame that it's not more common than it is. As it stands, for me at least, it happens so infrequently that it becomes basically impossible for me to get any sense of what conditions might be causing it.

That's fake. First, we don't own 'apforum'. Second, we don't message people using a staff handle. Third, we would never say "plain stupid retarded" or make a typo like "we suggest you got to another community" if we were making that much of an effort to insult you. Fourth, why did they capitalize every word in the subject except for retard? Are they retarded? Anyway, if you want to provide us with the email headers of that message we can see where it was sent from. We don't hate you… yet.

Also, any chance something can be done to stop the breaks in conversation post collapsing when editing said posts and then needing to manualy type them in again ?

From the message, click the down arrow next to reply, then click "show original". PM the info to me though, don't post it here.

I already posted it here before I think.

When initialy writing a visitor message, I can make breaks normally.

However when editing there is a big chance the breaks will somehow cease being there and the whole text will turn into one big mess that won't actualy accept me putting in breaks the normal way anymore, so I have to add

I made some changes a while back and need to check the subscription plugin; I'm aware of the issue though.

I don't know if it's just me, but when I tried to access the forum section earlier it was replaced by a message from the "Afghan Cyber Army"?? They seemed to have hacked the site, but it went away as soon as it appeared

I'm having a similar strange problem as others have posted. I can click edit post, but I can't save the edited post. And when I do post regularly, it turns into a single wall of text with no breaks. This has never happened before, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong?

As for a workaround, if you edit the post in source mode (the A/A icon, top left of reply box) it won't happen. Not sure if the cause is Chrome, Firefox, vBulletin, or what. It's too minor an issue to invest a lot of time on, given there's a workaround.

I'm afraid I don't see an A/A Icon on the top left of the reply box. Not in the quick reply box, that is. When I click reply on any post, the little loading circle appears over the word "reply" but it never loads the page. Same with 'reply with quote'. I can get to that page by opening 'reply' in a new tab, but even there I do not see the A/A icon. This is using Firefox, btw. Using Chrome, everything works fine, so I will stick with Chrome for now. If it's only happening in Firefox then I would just rollback to a previous version (or update if you are behind) and see if that takes care of it. Regarding the A/A button, just to clarify, it's on the same row as the bold, italics, underline, font, size, smileys, links, etc. It's just at the far left. Make sense?

Haha, well, the thing is, I can't see bold, italics, underline, or any of that other stuff either, haha. I checked in chrome, and I CAN see all of those options. It must be a firefox issue. I tried going back a version, but that didn't solve the issue either. So, I don't really see a work around, for a firefox user. Therefore, I'll be using chrome when I visit this site, at least for the time being~

Ok, so it looks like your firefox installation is having trouble with the javascript on both the quick and advanced editor toolbar. I tested on mine, which is Firefox version 20, and everything came up fine, so I'd suggest updating or trying another version. Here is the firefox version repository; note that the latest version is 23.0.1, everything beyond that is in beta, and everything before that has "potential vulnerabilities".

Well if it's javascript, it could just be a setting in the browser, not necessarily the version, though I do believe stuff was changed in version 22 and 23. Try opening Firefox in safe mode to see if it's one of your add-ons or plugins. If it is somehow disabled, type 'about:config' in the browser and search for javascript and then double-click (javascript.enabled) to enable it if you see it is disabled. If all else fails, install the latest version and then do a reset from firefox. Similar to config, but 'about:support', it'll take you to a page with 'Reset Firefox' on it.

The forums used to log me out every 5 minutes when I was a pc. ANY PC, so I know the issue isn't related to a problem on mine.

The forum's session timeout is set to 10 minutes. So if you are inactive for 10 minutes your session will be logged out, no matter where you are or what you use. This assumes you don't check the box 'remember me' for the site and have the password stored in your browser.

Yyyeeaahhhhh I've noticed that too on about three posts since the migration. I assumed it was due to post merging at first, but then it happened on a regular post. I guess I'll look into it since it's not just on my end. I think it's a PHP thing, but I'm not sure.

No…..happened once in the Sonic thread, and once in the tournament match going on right now. I checked my last post in this thread, and it seems fine. I'll check out other posts, if it helps.

Erm, I don't know if this is an issue on my end or yours but I can't really access the forums properly. It mostly keeps saying that the servers are too busy. I thought I'd been banned but it makes no sense. Sometimes it lets me load a page, most of the time it doesn't. Sometimes it gets even weirder like just giving me a white background and black text saying file not found. Sometimes the text says Session State Error-Browser Token Missing. When I log out though, everything about the forum seems fine. It seems too weird and random to be something deliberately done to my account, it feels more like an administrative error or something. Maybe an unexpected issue with the server migration? Or maybe it's something on my end to do with my service provider? Doesn't really make sense since all the other websites I visit are working fine. Could anyone help, please? :(

Everytime I visit the forum for the first time after a certain amount of time (not sure how long it is, maybe less than an hour?) the style reverts to the mobile style. My default style is set in my options as the new Dressrosa skin, so this is a glitch.

Your browser must have the mobile site cached for some reason. From the mobile site just hit the link at the bottom to revert back to the forum default, then change it again manually to whatever theme you want using the quick theme selector. Looks like you use Dressrosa, so yeah hit the link at the bottom of the mobile theme, then change to Dressrosa, that way your browser has it cached. Pay attention to the URL you are using too, IE: www.arlongpark.net, forums.arlongpark.net, or www.apforums.net

Jonas too. He added what we needed to avoid this happening again.

Edit: Forgot to mention I got the deltas to work, so searches pull results as new as five minutes, so it's near real time results now. For example in an active spoiler thread you could search Aohige's posts or CCC's while the thread is moving along fast with pages and comments to find all of their comments on spoiler content.
