I have no worries Unreal engine has proven itself time and again
Kingdom Hearts 3
-
-
With what games? I've yet to find any released game that's using UE4.
-
To clarify what I said. Unreal Engines in general have proven time and again I'm sure UR4 is no exception
-
Can't wait to play Kingdom Hearts 3 with all the texture pop-ins I could ever want!
-
still isn't the UE4 engine license a monthly subscription with them taking a royalty? or is there some secret license for big businesses that i can't find?
can't imagine SE out of all companies agreeing to give a % cut of their profits.
-
It's $20 per month (you can cancel this fee and still keep the engine, but you won't get any updates) as well as a certain percent of the profits of the game. I don't remember how much, maybe 15% or something.
-
Yeah just don't get any ideas like Dennis Dyack.
-
this was really funny :D
Also Sora, Donald and Goofy -
Completely absofucking not going to come out in 2015. That is crazy pants talk. I don't even believe they're getting FF15 out this year.
-
Unless Square told Nomura to get a move on after E3, I don't see KH3 coming before 2017.
-
Information is almost as reliable as the character's AI
-
!
-
It's going to have a release date for the 31st December 2015 which of course means mid 2017.
-
Yup, not true.
http://www.themarysue.com/kingdom-hearts-iii-release-date-goof/I still want to believe Goofy. Can't I believe!?
-
We can get Kingdom Hearts 3 as soon as we get another handheld game exclusively for the "New 3DS".

Kingdom Hearts: new Dream Drop Distance
Same game but now you switch between Riku and Sora three times as fast!
-
Kingdom Hearts: Mad Libs Title for New3ds, coming worldwide in 2017. Followed by Kingdom Hearts: Mad Libs Title Final Mix in 2018, complete with new bonus bosses and other new content. But only for Japan.
! But if the new bosses are anything like the Mysterious Figuree in BBS, then I don't think we're missing out on anything but the soundtrack.
-
Goofy's comments in battle never get old.
!
-
Since the majority of them are trying to finish ff15, which probably will come out in early 2016 at the earliest. I wouldn't hope with a kingdom hearts release before late 2016. 2017 seems way more likely.

Especially with how much work they pour into the games. KH2 was a star-studded epic with hours of voice work and hours of gameplay. If KH3 is going to be even bigger they\re gonna need a lot of push backs and time for gathering what they need.
On the current note: Fuck Mysterious Figure. Fuck him and his stupid time traveling, silvered haired, Hoggy Gilligan bullcrap. Don't get me wrong, he's not hard, he's cheap. 80% of his attacks are blockable and can be air dodged out of, but there are two attacks that make the fight hairpullingly impossible: The orbs and his DM. The orbs are IMPOSSIBLE to dodge and if he casts Doom on you it says, hey Second Chance, F-you, and instantly kills you. His DM is stupid too and hard to get away from since you can't track him and you can't attack him when he's invisible so its a glorified game of How Lucky are You?? D-Links are still available but if you activate one he DMs instantly like he's insulted. BBS has a really bad habit of making boss fights that difficult for the wrong reasons. The only end-game fight that's not impossible tier its Eraqus' Armor. It was hard, but didn't stick a pencil in your eye when you think you got the rhythm down.

Took me years to understand what Goofy says when he gets knocked out.
But what the devil is his quote at 0:01? "Like fire? Like fighting?"
-
I'm still disappointed that Goofy hasn't done his yell in Kingdom Hearts.
-
He did right near the beginning of the first game, when he and Donald blast off in search of Mickey.
-
Took me years to understand what Goofy says when he gets knocked out.
I still have no idea what he's saying.

He's saying "Take that!"

He did the yell when their gummy ship drops out the bottom of Disney castle in KH1, and he did it again in KH2 when they go through the door to christmas town.

"I've had it fell'ers"
-
He's saying "Take that!"
…...well color me surprised. That line, the particular line, never sounded the same as his others, like Bill Farmer wasn't even saying it.
Just in case we're all talking about a different line, he also says it whenever you finish his limits with Sora.

Yeah it wasn't until I listened to that audio string that I finally realize what it was. It always sounded like "Think fast!" to me for some reason. Same for when he got knocked out.

A guy from Kingdom Hearts Insider named Zephyr has been doing renditions of raw KH3 footage shown (with no photos or vids taken) last month at the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix Launch Event.
for those who didn't know… here's what we know from the footage.
! We were first shown some concept artwork of three different types of Heartless. The first is one that appears like a burst of fire with a core of darkness. Another was an archer Heartless that appeared quite small, but donned an oversized hat and was lugging around a bow and quiver that was obviously too big for itself. The final Heartless was very large and looked to be inspired by Greek Gladiators, complete with helm, armor, shield and sword. Models for the two final Heartless were also shown with a default waiting animation. While the models themselves looked fine, the textures were clearly a work-in-progress and appeared to just be glossy, single-colored shaders attached to different parts of the body and did not possess much detail. These models were presented in a blank white space. The next segment was of Sora and his new Keyblade that seems to have an angel-wing theme. We saw him transform his Keyblade into the dual-guns and suddenly switch to his Valor form outfit, and then combined the guns together into a cannon while switching into his Wisdom form outfit. This demonstration was also shown in a blank white space.
! We then saw concept art of a grand city built on three hills, with the one in the center being slightly taller. The city seemed to be built in tiers leading up to the top, and a tower that was curiously almost identical in shape to that of the Daybreak Town tower topped the center hill. Chains connected the top corners of the center tower to the two surrounding hills, a motif that we have seen replicated in the structure of the castle in the Land of Departure. The concept art had the letters "C.T," beneath the center tower.
! The camera zoomed into the tower and made the transition into 3D, and we saw just how vast and condensed the city was. We entered the tower into a library/office and immediately noticed Master Eraqus's symbol plastered on the overhead arch, and the χ symbol written on a chalkboard in the room. An upper loft could be seen in the study that lead to a row of books. The room was bathed in such soft and glowing light as wind flowed gently in from the windows, ruffling the curtains and passing over Sora's hair and clothes. Sora began to approach the window and his shadow began to spread across the checkered tile floor. The camera zoomed into a cluster of chess pieces topped with various symbols seen throughout the series, such as the heart and crown.
! here's the first pic featuring Sora in the room: [http://images.khinsider.com/2014 Uploads/12/kh3sketches.png](http://images.khinsider.com/2014 Uploads/12/kh3sketches.png)
! and here's one of Sora's new Keyblade and transformed modes: [http://images.khinsider.com/2015 Uploads/01/kh3_keyblades.png](http://images.khinsider.com/2015 Uploads/01/kh3_keyblades.png)I'm surprised no one here posted this yet.

here's the new trailer from E3, for those who haven't seen it yet.
and also some good news: http://kh13.com/news/kingdom-hearts-iii-confirmed-to-appear-at-d23-expo-2015-in-america

So in some thread I made a comment saying I thought Sora's new outfit is too dark but on seeing it not off a screen during a stream:
[hide][/hide]
I retract my previous statement and commend how it looks cool. -
Too much shadows on his face. In the trailer too. It makes his nose look very ugly.
About the outfit. I think it's too simple compared to the old ones. But there will surely be other magic outfits in the game.
-
Big Hero 6 world announced. Taking place after the movie.
-
Cool, I appreciate it not just being the movie but with Sora, Donald and Goofy (and less crowd shots) -
That is one cool looking boss.
-
Awaiting the inevitable Frozen news.
Sadly I never got around to seeing Big Hero 6. Ah well.
-
New summon: Stan Lee. Also bonus boss and last vessel of Xehanort.
-
The Dream! It happened!
-
Woody and Buzz were planned summons for KH2 Final Mix…..I'd be extremely disappointed if we don't get Toy Story.
-
A Toy Story (with a new movie in production, and, well, the success of Toy Story 3, as well as a Toy Story theme park being constructed at the Disney's) world and Frozen world are almost guaranteed, so…
-
I thought they already announced a Toy Story world.
-
I thought they already announced a Toy Story world.
I don't believe so. I know they confirmed at D23 that Disney is building/adding a Toy Story theme park to their parks, and that people have been REALLY asking for a Toy Story world to be implemented into Kingdom Hearts III (and even Kingdom Hearts II) for some time.
-
The only new world I am really looking forward is The Emperor's New Groove.
Also a continuation of Port Royale with Davy Jones as a boss. -
Awaiting the inevitable Frozen news.
I didn't like Frozen but I think it could be very good in Kingdom Hearts.
The worlds I would like to see the most are Treasure Planet and Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Though two piratish worlds in the same game might be redundant….well it never stopped them before.
PS: today I beat Terra's armor in KH II for the first time Level 85 in critical mode.
-
Davy Jones from PotC would fit so goddamn easily into this series, but the chance for him has probably long passed.
-
Random question, but, why hasn't there been a Miyazaki film featured in Kingdom Hearts yet? I know Disney themselves didn't really have a hand in the films, but, they did distribute, promote etc. etc. them to the world.
Would prefer it over that nasty and boring Winnie the Pooh. :ninja:
-
Well, I mean it really doesn't make sense for Kingdom Hearts, a game produced by Square Enix in Japan, to default to world views for Miyazaki films, films produced and owned by Studio Ghibli in Japan.
Plus the association to Disney really ain't that strong when all Disney did is distribute them across the world. There's probably some other legal issues as well (especially because the properties are in Japan), but yeah, overall people don't think Disney when they think Miyazaki films.

I know I don't think Miyazaki when I think of Kingdom Hearts I think of Tetsuya Nomura and all the heat his name alone generates with this and Final Fantasy.

Disney's only hand was in distribution. I don't think there's any way in hell Miyazaki would let one of his films become a "world" in a Disney game.

This is our only chance left to see Lightning in a good game
