holy shit this chapter. it's like I'm really reading DUWANG.
Can we have a filler match for worst translation? I'm rooting for this chapter.
What are you talking about, short hair ear ring man.

LOL.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
"Although I have no idea what are them" .. ok.
Hope Toujou does some beating this time.
He has been everyone's punching bag lately.
I just want Toujou to be something else than that guy who comes to gang up on Oga's enemies.
WTF mangareader?
The credit page is red hawk scan but the rest of the chapter isn't.
Read them on red hawk site or batoto, fellas.

That was pretty damn awesome. I love "fuck your shit" moments like that.
Cool chapter, I wish something cooler was done with Furuichi heart thing, but this has potential to be awesome too.
I agree with MDL, that was an epic fuck your shit moment.
"hey man, come to me when you get all the other pieces, then we can fight for the one I have with me"
"No, fuck you, Iama take yours first
that was 10/10
The Knee hit from Takamyia looked cool, yeah.
The only problem I have is with the Takamyia's friend eating Furuichi soul and getting stronger. I was like… What?
At least a facade of seriousness was maintained. Oga's reaction and Toujou's arrival are welcome as well. But I can't help but still let go of the Demon World journey arc. Sigh.
Seriously off-topic, but man I love you even more right now. Worst is so good that it always makes my day whenever I run into someone who appreciates it as something more than just seemingly medieval violence that it definitely is not all about.

I totally forget to mention Toujou's arrival. it was really cool seeing him and knowing that he will kick ass again soon.
Looks like I'll be reading Worst soon.
The eating parts of it made it worse for me cuz I didn't look at those pgs in the raw scans. Them getting stronger doesn't make sense either to me unless it's more hinting to Furuichi's demon lineage if not I think it'd be lame that just eating regular human's heart/souls makes you stronger.
Toujou showing up is nice though.
Great chapter
My boy's heart is now some late night dessert, F*** you bastard…lol

Why?
Demons are commonly soul reapers, and there are plenty of fiction where demons collect and consume souls of mortals to become stronger.
And you know, those crests they bear are demonic in nature.
Consuming another mortals soul making you closer to demons and thus strengthening you makes perfect sense to me?
BTW, this is completely ah homage to a popular Kinnikuman arc, the Seven Demon Chojins.
Suguru (Kinnikuman)'s friend Meat-kun gets split into 7 pieces, each piece held by a Demon Wrestler. Suguru must collect all 7 within the 10 day time limit or Meat-kun will die.
- Tojou appears and delivered a blow on Takamiya, how strong is this dude, like seriously he just appear and the next thing you know there's Takamiya's blood in the floor
I've been wondering about it too.
Does he somehow get his crest so he becomes much stronger or does saotome give him some kind of temporary power up to help Oga?

That's why really. It's tired and old, cliche. Why not just have a bunch of demons do it all the damn time and make this more like Yu Yu Hakusho.
I'd say it's lamer cuz these are human followers (of a human spell caster that has a contract with Lucifer) eating the parts of the soul that are getting stronger. Not demons unless I missed something about Takamiya's group. I thought the whole over arcing plot was a demon group founded by some guy that challenged the demon king were out there powering up humans for some nefarious plot and/or to kill Beel.@Shadowgreed:
- the kings crest is more about loyalty, so at the moment of the Fallen Angel eat my boy's soul they showed that they fully trust and follow Takamiya that's why their King Crest evolved, which it means that their are different levels to the Crest depending on the loyalty they show to his master
I still think it's lame but now I also think it's disgusting lol
They had to eat it to achieve that loyalty power boost? Plus I figured the whole king's crest power worked on a ranking system as far as level of power in relation to a boost in power. Did they all jump a few #s by eating? I mean if Furuichi were to say while on the floor dying to Oga "I trust that you'll be able to save me" would he level up? That idea on how it works almost leans more to the nakama power up stuff I have my fill of in other manga.
I'd rather just see jokes about Kanzaki pissing off Oga and constantly dropping a rank (after everybody else gets numbered).
I actually understand about the whole "Eat a guy's heart, get stronger" thing.
There was this culture among several primitive tribes that eating your opponent will make u stronger (Indonesian Dayak, certain Amazon tribes, certain African tribes, etc) that's the thing behind cannibalism actually. They believe that by eating the flesh, u will gain your opponent's power, and u will prevent his soul from coming back and taking revenge because well, u've already eaten the soul.
So it's probably the same thing here in Beel, my personal guess is that it's actually what the old spellmasters do. They can give a King's Crest to their followers, and feeds them the opponent's soul to make them stronger. It kinda make sense since the spellmasters made a contract with demons (and that's what demons do). It's probably never mentioned because it's something of a forbidden practice these days, or probably since Beel's father take up as the ruler.
Anyway, so is Toujou punching Takamiya like that means he's already gotten his King's Crest? Or from the looks of it, about to get his crest.

I'm sorry what? Yu Yu had like one guy eating souls and a few who ate people strait up.
There are tons of manga you could go to for soul eating shenanigans but Hakusho is not one of them.

I've been wondering about it too.

He already realized about demonic powers, so he may get one from Oga and powers up a little, I don't see him getting one from Saotome that guy disappear like forever and then comes back with some lame ass excuses

What PONX wrote that's disgusting!
It make perfect sense the way Hilda explained was like this "The king crest its bestowed only upon warriors who have sworn lifelong alliance to their king" loyalty can change in a person depending the circumstances in this case it didn't change since all of the members of the Fallen Angels accepted what Tamakamiya send them and I don't think the numbers change when it concerns a power up but it may change when it comes to loyalty (ie: If Furuichi had the KC #1 his number will never change since he's always by Oga's side but If Toujo had that number it will always shift around since he's always picking a fight and that's being disloyal) also it won't level up Furuichi because he doesn't have a KC and he's not the one who should ask that question, If Oga was the one on the floor and He ask Furuichi that question and Furuichi respond Yes or whatever that's where the power up comes since he is being loyal to Oga, showing him that he can leave everything to him (that's If Furuichi gets a KC)
PS: I'm expecting a change is the KC design because of the power up
…
Wow… Well, I don't mind if u find it disgusting. Good thing I've kept a lot of what I've heard hidden from that post. Just FYI though, that sort of practice is still being done to this day (but only to those Dayaks living in remote areas).

That reminded me of that incident that happen in Africa in 2009 where the villangers burned some people because they were doing some evil shit.

That wasn't all of Takamiya's group though.

I wasn't really criticizing Yu Yu for that but it was just the first manga that came to mind with the demons eating humans and their souls.

:ninja: As one of Dayak, I just wanna say I'm not eat some heart to get stronger.
On topic:

We haven't seen it from other groups yet including Oga's group so is only Takamiya's for now

You said all of Takamiya's group accepted his "gift" which led to their power up. I'm saying that wasn't all of his group, as shown previously there are more. That's why I asked about their ranks not raising since their loyalty/faith gave them a power up.
chinese scanlated for chapter 209 is out~
New chapter (209) is out:
http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/beelzebub_2/en/0/209/
Is it just me, or the art is better this chapter?
The art is better, the comedy is funnier, the action is badasser, and the plot is forwarder… everything is -er this chapter!!!
(I was half-expecting Kanzaki & Kunieda to appear after Lamia & Alain Delon had left, just so Oga would have to explain it for the third time )
De niro Kanzaki lol.
LAWLS
De Niro Kanzaki
At least Kanzaki doesn't take himself too seriously, unlike most of the cast.
Also, Kanzaki, Lamia and Alain Delon were the best parts of the chapter…
After all this humor surrounding it this chapter how crazy would it be if they didn't get his soul back and Furuichi really did die.
No! Now get out you Furuichi hating heathen!
I dot know why but with all the comedy and all the stuff that was in this chapter I felt like Meh to me compared with the last two chapter but I refill the void in te next one

You better shut ya mind boy:getlost:
Beelzebub #22:
Alain delon is here, f yeah.
De Niro Kanzaki is also here to kick some ass alright.
Now where is Himekawa and what is he doing?
When will he finally appear and swear his loyalty to Oga?

Was anyone expecting Nasu to have green hair?
@Lazy:
Was anyone expecting Nasu to have green hair?
Umm, that's blonde, sir.
Yeah, and he's saying that he was expecting it to be green.
Frankly, I'm more surprised that a pushover like that is on the cover (and the focal point, too)…
@Lazy:
Was anyone expecting Nasu to have green hair?
Was expecting dark orange/red for some reason.

W](http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/beelzebub_2/en/0/210/)ell the chapters out. I laughed at kanzaki and toujo but it seems to be mostly set up
Gold.
!
Really didn't like this chapter, there was totally nothing special in it. :L
@NER:

Pretty much…
Gotta love the classic:
Takamiya: "Oh, shit, I just punched you so hard, bro!"
Oga: "Lolnope! I caught that shit! Now I'mma punch you so hard!"
Takamiya's thoughts as he gets hit: "He's so powerful and growing stronger!1!11"
Having a build up chapter is okay from time to time.
Himekawa is asking for his own demon?
Having a build up chapter is okay from time to time.
I do realize that, I also realzie that build up chapters aren't supposed to be special.
I wasn't really waiting for a plot twist or anything huge this week, but what we got was still too underwhelming.
you feel me?
Maybe i have become a bit more tolerant because of all those years of slow Bleach chapters.
