Waited 2 weeks and got a great chapter. Can't wait to see how the dwarves look like or if they really are dwarves but fairies instead.
One Piece Chapter 710 "To Green Bit"

Great chapter.
The fact that Law's abilities drains his stamina is hardly surprising. What, everyone thought he could just stand in one spot and use his haxx ability all day? lol. I think its just the fact that he mentions it: He really plans on going ape-shit against Doflamingo. Should be an epic fight butterflies.
Why is Law surprised the Marines showed up at green bit? At first I thought he was misleading the Marines and he didn't plan to go to green bit at all. Law doesn't seem to be the type of character who's dumb enough to tell the MARINES(who are most definitely after his ass now) where he was going. There was no reason to. I'm a bit confused here…then again Law has a reputation for being cunning so maybe he lied to Ussop saying he didn't expect it.
Dwarf for new nakama! Yea....here we go
-
Law's playing here, leak information to Marines in order to make sure that if there's any accident during exchange hostage with Doflamingo, 3rd party will come out to distract
-
is Robin using haki to locate the dwarf?
-
is Robin using haki to locate the dwarf?
She catches one when she used mille fleurs all over the place.
-
How is this a good explanation? During Punk Hazard he spammed rooms allover the place, even had 2 rooms up at a time (to teleport to the entrance with Chopper). Still with breaks inbetween, he fought Smoker, fought the Cool Bro's, used his powers on the Straw Hat's, fought Vergo, sliced the facility in half and still had enough energy to potentially capture Caesar on his own. All while having his heart crushed multiple times on different occasions.
Just think what kind of stunt he'll pull off now he's stored up ALL THAT EXTRA ENERGY. Dude's going to cut the entire island in half by this rate.
I'm not sure how useful that will be to defeat Doffy BUT IT WILL BE AWESOME.
-
Law's playing here, leak information to Marines in order to make sure that if there's any accident during exchange hostage with Doflamingo, 3rd party will come out to distract
I think it's more he is surprised that he played the Marines into his plan so easily. For some reason, he wants them at Green Bitt when DD is involved and how obviously is a different matter.
-
I'm loving Bellamy, it's pretty much confirmed that he has haki, considering that Haki users have been seen to be able to sense haki in others.
-
I like the idea that Law's powers drain him. It's like when a real doctor operates and they are there for upwards of 24 hours or more on the same patient without breaks. It's exhausting, so this falls in line very well with such an over powered fruit of this type.
Man this dwarf island looks like its going to be so fun! Ever since seeing the little Fishman in the original crew concept I figured a really tiny person would join some day. Then watch him take on San Juan Wolf some day, hahaha.
Oh and Bellamy pretty much demonstrated his Haki just as the King Punch was being wound up and thrown.
With his back turned Bellamy certainly sensed it's incoming power. -
For some reason, he wants them at Green Bitt when DD is involved
I'm guessing it's to take him down without getting the alliance's hands too dirty.
I forgot, does the WG know of Doflamingo's broker status? If they do, great, if not, Caesar could be the proof….somehow. Law's group deposits Caesar just as Dofla shows up, they escape before the Marines catch them, Dofla and Caesar are captured, etc.
Naturally this will not go as planned.

Oh One Piece, how I missed ye.
Great chapter, but really, is it true that Oda was working even in the hospital. Somebody needs to introduce him to the wonder known as Dragon Quest(recommended in small doses).

Such a great chapter. I love that we got to learn more about Law's powers and I really loved seeing Usopp packing some real power behind his attacks. And it was so good to see Robin fighting. It's kinda awesome to see how each Starw Hat has their unique abilities that are suited so perfectly for any situation and how creative they are with them. Robin's awesome area denial attack seems very cool. I wonder if Law picked her especially for her abilities since I can see Robin and Usopp being of most use with theri unconventional attacks against tiny and incredibly fast dwarves
Also can I just say how pumped I am for what seems like an upcoming fight with Dofla and considering Dofla's unique power I wonder who Law is planning to use in the upcoming. From what we saw Dofla's control abilities seem extremely strong and even someone like Jozu is helpess. So Sanji and Luffy would seem like a bad choice. Zorro might possibly be able to cut the strings before they can latch onto him. Robin would be a good choice with ehr clone ability since the strings would be useless against someone who can dissolve her body anytime she wants but she is physically too weak to do serious damge to Dofla. Still she can probably be useful to distract him. Ditto for Usopps who should be able to land attacks far outside of Dofla's range
Oh well I am going too fast anyway. Now's the time for Dwarfs :)

So in the youtube anime community for some reason people cannot see what Oda is doing with Bellamy's character and just want to see him one shotted and it's ridiculous, so here's some of the analysis of Bellamy's character:
Bellamy a cocky, bastard like true pirate is immeadietly met with conflict when he meets the man known as Monkey D Luffy. His beliefs are challenged by Luffy's strong will and the possibility of the existence of Skypeia. In the end Bellamy is defeated by Luffy, that single punch to the face knocking him back to reality leading him to realize this man's strength. He begins his metamorphis's when he is betrayed by Doflamingo and thrown out like the trash, his idol has betrayed him and now Bellamy is nothing. Somehow Bellamy mangages to get up to Skypeia where he attempts to redeem himself by getting the gold pillar to Doffie, loosing crew mates along the way and in turn, turning his world upside down. Bellamy a man who was formerly lost and without a real dream or anything to fight for redeems himself and get's back into Doffie's graces, finaly giving him something to believe in and something to fight for. Earning the love of the entire nation Bellamy fights for Dressrosa's pride, working toward his goal of getting on Doffie's ship before the big wave. Bellamy get's one last chance to redeem himself which is in the tounament, all of his hard work and goals and the pride of his nation is riding on his shoulders and with his new powers and ideals he seems to have a nice chance at winning. Bellamy get's a chapter dedicated to himself where he tell's Luffy that he won't laugh at him anymore, showing his development. The torunament block reaches it's end where Bellamy is pitted against the most hated pirate, who is despised by Dressrosa's citezens, the hero v.s the villain. And when Bellamy finally get's the upper hand on Bart he is taken out from behind by the King's Punch, crushing everything he has worked toward setting up for even more development. It's even showed he has Haki in this chapter, yet all the reviewers and commenters call him irrelevant fodder…...I don't get it. He's been set up for redemption this entire arc, I can see him rematching Bart and winning, or becoming the new king of dressrosa, or maybe even a strawhat (So he can see what a real captain is like and be on there ship when the big wave comes, Luffy even likes him).....BELLAMY IS NOT IRRELEVANT FODDER!

Yes, One Piece is back!
I LOVE the color spread. I can't even put it any simpler than that.
And Green Bit is giving me major Skypiea Upper Yard vibes.

There's this useful key on your keyboard called "enter". We oldies used to call it "Return".

- Seems that Law specifically wanted Usopp and Robin. Cool planning
Yeah, I remember some people had wondered why Law wanted those two with him when he meets up with Mingo. I thought it was due to their powers/skills. Out of all of the SHs, those two are best for this mission.
Robin's DF power and past experience (running from W.G., work as assassin -(she told Usopp when she first joined)) makes her the perfect choice to keep an 'eye' (and ears -both figurative and literal) out for trouble.
Usopp's sniping skills and varied ammo are perfect for long range attacks and for coverHere in this chapter it was confirmed he wanted their recon and sniping skills.
lol at Law saying Usopp attack on the fish was impressive and Usopp replies "Bite me!"

This is a new generation, where they are only used to speaking in 140 or fewer characters. There's no need for a return. :-p

Maybe people have already talked about this. But my guess is that the marine ship is due to Fujitora using his gravity power to lift the ship and avoid the fighting fish (of course it didn't land very well since he can't see).

Lol I feel stupid for not thinking about this, and lol at fujitora trying to land a flying ship while blind. Thing is, if it's him, he will find the sh's in no time and crush the **** out of them.

I think everyone here misunderstood the thing about Law's quote. Of course using abilities make you tired.
It's nothing special that he loses energy with his ability, he's just stating it makes him tired. Same thing with everyone else. When luffy fights he gets tired, when Robin fights she gets tired, it's no difference. It's no surprise using abilities make you tired. I can't believe people didnt see this, it doesn't even apply to just ability users. Zoro using his swordsman abilities makes him tired, and Sanjis kicks make him tired.
He doesn't want to fight beforehand so he keeps all of his energy.
-
The last page for this chapter is the stupidest thing ever. Thousands of hands appear, catches something we can't see, and Robin yells "It appears to be…dwarves!" The fact that was can't see these things, and have to take Robin's word for it, just makes things all the more ridiculous.
I liked this chapter. It's a good break from the tournament, and its great to see this team handle things so skillfully. I was actually a little worried when the crew sent all their top fights into the island, but I can see how Law planned this out.
Also, Law saying his fruit drains his stamina is a weakness in the same way running drains anyone's stamina. It's a limit sure, but not much. This just means that to Law switching things around is the same thing as exerting yourself in a fight. It's been said before, yes, but he's just holding back for Donflamingo.

Why the ship had crashed onto the shore?
The fighting bull fish slammed it straight on and made it fly fly.

I think the reason Law says this, as Jabra said earlier, is an excuse for us to see more of Usopp's and Robin's fighting abilities haha.

Hey, your post appeared as I was typing mine.
I would just hope the repetition helps it sink in with more people.

It looks like Oda must have been a big fan of this game.
-

Why don't you understand? It's not like it's usual for a one piece character to be like, nahh cant fight gotta keep my stamina for the big boss.. I understand why people took it that way, plus it might be what people think, i dont think its 100% confirmed. I'm not too sure which one it is at the moment.

@Don:
Bellamy doublecrossing DD in the end i can`t see happening, because when there was a time to betray DD it was after getting sliced by DD with his own nakama.
What would be the point of betraying him then though? What could he have possibly hoped to accomplish? I could definitely see Bellamy aligning himself to Luffy in the future, or even in this arc. Practically speaking, that's one of the few uses his character would have at this point, for now.
Not a bad chapter; it's nice to see Law isn't as invincible when it comes to his powers as it appeared initially.
Did people actually think this? Well.. of course they did i guess. Everyone buys way too much into hype and presentation, and lose all perspective. It was obvious from the start that Law was simply being played as the invulnerable badass while in reality that was no where near the whole story.
@Nex:
how can you look at this chapter and be excited by the tournament in comparison?
Because the tournament is awesome to a lot of people too. It's as simple as that and there isn't anything you need to get. Fucking deal with it, guy. Jeez.
Oda already setting up Law's defeat? Maybe…
Sets up Law vs Mingo
Presents Law's weakness(es) (though it's not really a weakness per se; using his DF is just very taxing on his body and he can't keep up in all situations. Which actually makes perfect sense, really. He's a doctor and strategist type guy first, not a fighter.)
Ain't no one but Luffy putting Mingo down for good.Almost kind of seems that way to me as well.
i wonder if there's anyone actually notable on these warships besides Fujitora
i don't understand the point of sending one to Green Bit at all if it means it's stocked with fodderWell if an admiral is already present i imagine it's likely the warships are captained by VA's as they would be in a buster call. So my guess is there's at least one VA on Green Bit already. Hopefully, if that's the case, he's more impressive than Maynard was.

@Armored:
I think the reason Law says this, as Jabra said earlier, is an excuse for us to see more of Usopp's and Robin's fighting abilities haha.
No, it's because if he finds himself fighting someone like Doflamingo there's no guarantee he'll win even if he is in prime condition, so of course he can't be taxing himself beforehand. If Oda only wanted to have Usopp and Robin show off he could have simply had them intervene before Law and no one would have given it a second thought, nor should they have.
I feel this is probably particularly the case for someone like Law who has a likely and apparently especially taxing DF, and who probably isn't like someone like Luffy who is used to fighting to his maximum capabilities for extended periods. Law's the kind of guy who considers all the details and is extremely mathematical in the way he goes about things. He schemes and plans to win with using the least amount of effort possible insead of pushing himself to the max like Luffy or Zoro and therefore he's simply not as good at doing it as the latter characters. So his endurance is a 'weakness'.
EDIT: So many typos, grammatical errors and awkward phrasings.

Great chapter, finally we know what's going on with "the plan".
About Barto's reaction by earing Luffy's name.
A little hipothesis. When he won B Block and he said "i will win the Mera-Mera for this person", maybe he referred to Luffy, and as a fan, he want to give the fruit it to him. -
Um oh whoa.
From the TOC page…. according to Kishimoto, Oda was drawing next chapters while he was bedridden in the hospital.
Kishi saw the pages at the hospital room... so I guess he went to check up on Oda at the hospital.Bakuman much?
That man is dedication incarnate. Even in hospital he keeps doing what he loves instead of taking his well-deserved rest. Oda-sensei deserves a medal; a gigantic golden one.
Also nice move by Kishi. -

It would be really nice if the situation in Dresrosa resolves to Doflamingo forming an alliance with Strawhat-Law against Kaido. That means more Ceasar :)

I think most people understand this. It's just that it was thought that the Ope Ope no Mi allowed people to do all that shit Law showed with zero effort, just stand there cutting people up from a distance and lifting stuff with apparently no health drawbacks, but that's not the case.
-
@Nex:
This chapter is exactly why I was excited when Dressrosa. Seriously, how can you look at this chapter and be excited by the tournament in comparison? I just don't get it.
Elizabello. Hack. Chinjao. Burgess. Bellamy. Cavendish.
I mean, what's happening outside the colisseum is really interesting and I loved this chapter, but what we had of the tournament has been great so far. But of course, there are no fixed rules about taste, so I'm fine with you not enjoying it. We'll see more about the scenes in Dressrosa and Green Bit next week anyways, so you'll get what you want :P
-
That man is dedication incarnate. Even in hospital he keeps doing what he loves instead of taking his well-deserved rest. Oda-sensei deserves a medal; a gigantic golden one.
Also nice move by Kishi. What did you think Oda was doing in there? I don't see him as the sort of person who can just take it easy for two weeks and not do anything. Its not like his hand was hurt.
Hell, I'm betting once OP is finished, Oda will relax for maybe a week or so before getting bored and starting to sketch out something else.
Also, I'm pretty sure Oda and Kishi are friends. They do seems to hold each other in high esteem.
-
It seems to me that the most probable cause for the battleship was the dwarves considering that battleships have kuroseki to hide them from the fish, also it seems Law's plan is to get caesar arrested while the factory gets destroy so that doflamingo won't have neither and be force into a war with kaidou.
-

It also helps to explain how he lost to Vergo so easily. I imagine it's difficult to summon up the power to cut through his Haki when someone is squeezing your heart.

I can see the two of them dicking around in a friendly rival way like "Guess this week Naruto's taking the number 1 spot ehehe" "Enjoy it while it lasts. I'm returning next week buddy".
-
After the two week break this chapter was always going to have to live up to some big expectations and it just about did so.
Bart's reaction was interesting - I don't buy the Luffy fanboy theory as it seems a little lacking in the depth we've come to expect from Oda. I'd be more inclined to think Bart has some involvement with someone else important from Luffy's past - perhaps Ace, perhaps Dragon… only time will tell!
-

Yep. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the reason Ceaser Clown looks so much like a Naurto character is because he was based on a scrapped Kishi design he gave to Oda.
-
I love that Robin got to show her stuff in this chapter, but I'm still really curious to what Rebecca can do.
-
It also helps to explain how he lost to Vergo so easily. I imagine it's difficult to summon up the power to cut through his Haki when someone is squeezing your heart.
In my opinion, this fact doesn't help explain anything! Everything a human do requires energy/stamina whether it's physical exertion or mental concentration. That statement only serve to hype Dofamingo more.
-

If so, Caesar Clown should be happy: he escaped a horrible fate, by becoming a character in OP, instead of Naruto…

Sure, but different actions require different amounts of energy. How much strain does Law feel when he's using the Ope Ope no Mi?
This drawback was pretty much created to justify Law not overusing his powers, and to show that he suffers physical exertion when using his powers (which wasn't something obvious to showcase, so it had to be mentioned).

@Oda and Kishi
When Kishi read Going Merry's farewell, he was so moved he texted Oda about it. lol
Above is From 2006 Jump Fest, when Kishi and Oda was on the panel together. There was a lot of questions,
when asked what they want to see drawn by the other, Kishi answered he wants to see end of One Piece, while Oda answered he wants to see Kishi draw slice of life heart-warming manga featuring animals.
When asked who takes the most amount of shit, Oda said indubitably me, and Kishi agreed. WTF. Jump readers… lol -
