Episode 4. Very well done episode. I enjoyed the "introductions" of the characters at the start of the episode and the sense of progress you get with Eren and of course that hope-breaking cliffhanger at the end there. Can't wait for the big twist. I'm also growing to like the characters a lot more in the anime. Animation and voices probably help and I also sort of rushed through the manga to catch up. The soundtrack has been freaking gorgeous, too, incredibly well-fitting.

Seems like the opening is the new Guile theme, it goes well with everything haha, love it, my favourite is probably the Pingu one, probably because I watch Pingu a lot with my nephew since he loves it.

I think the first episode that had a 1 episode = 1 chapter pacing, wasn´t bad but inferior to the other episodes in my opinion, the beginning and the ending of the episode stand out though

Ep 1 adapted 1.5 chapters, ep 2 adapter 10 pages from 2 and a portion of the flashback (and I think added a little bit when they were getting bread, but I might be forgetting). The recent eps have been pulling in all the flashbacks and stuff, so I'm not really sure how much they're adapting each week now.
And with this week's episode, I imagine we'll get a lot of new manga readers. ^o^

Yeah, the last two episodes had flashbacks that appear much later, so the pacing was still faster but this episode covered only chapter 4. For example, Pixie playing with the aristocrat, drinking and so forth was completely filler.

Surprisingly, I found the respective manga scenes with Armin unbearably annoying compared to the anime. I didn't get annoyed at Armin as much. I'm getting disappointed at the fact they're lightening the death scenes. I was really heart-torn when Thomas and Friends got eaten - it was a lot more impactful.
Pretty good episode. Next episode is another flashback, but ah.

The death scenes are exactly the same as the manga. Personally, I'd say Thomas's death is even more impactful in the anime thanks to the music and sound effect.

I like how people started to claim that Mikasa is the main protagonist, i had the same reaction back then but it's such a fun read right now.

^yeah they did. But it was filler that made him even more awesome so I don't mind it.
After last week's episode I was left guessing and decided to read a few chapters. I kept reading, saying that one more wouldn't hurt and then I actually stopped after Eren's titan power was revealed. Yesterday I said fuck it and starting reading again; finished roughly ten minutes ago. I assume it's blatantly obvious how I think about this manga.
