@Urouge:
SE went to total crap with this guy in charge. FFXI was a huge success, and was still doing very well despite some horrible decisions with it under his watch. FFXIV was both unnecessary and awful, and damaged their actual good MMO in the process. And let's not even get started on the awful that was FFXIII, which wasn't even half as good as any of the 12 before it. And that's just the FF series. This guy needed to be fired years ago. I understand it's not all his fault, but he's the guy in charge, and thus assumes the responsibility.
I'm pretty sure there was an FFVI remake at some point, PSX or maybe PS2. But it was literally just the same game with a few cutscenes added in (not even updated textures), and may have been before this guy's time anyway.
As careful as I try to be about such statements I kind of have to agree. Their priorities with this guy in charge have been all over the place. Let's hope the new management is more in touch with what projects to push.

Also square is being seriously dumb about tomb raider, sleeping dog and hitman numbers being disappointing.
Now I may be wrong but I'm under the impression that their western developed games have been pretty much their only saving grace, protecting them from falling into obscurity, while their japanase side has not been holding up their weight.
And then there is the fact that sleeping dogs is a freaking new ip and that they positioned the hitman release at a really stupid time. So they should just get their forecast straight.
As for the reason Wada had to resign, I'm preferring to think that it's pretty simple instead of any real game and development related conspiracies. The guy missed their losses forecast by about 4 times, as an investor I would boot that guy out...
