Don't cry wolf. The likelihood of stands looking bad as CGI is certainly higher than in traditional animation, but it's no sure thing.

Outside of few really well done exceptions like Fate/Zero,I don't ever find random CGI objects particularly pretty,at most I find them servicable,barely.
I just feel as if the bulk of inserted CGI work in anime hasn't come that much of a long way since the days of Ghost in the Shell:SAC.I still find your average "random CGI car" pretty lame for example.
It's the issue of personal dislike really..
Also,Stand will wave to interact with 2D characters,which will either look awkward as hell,or will result in dudes spontanously becoming CGI models when punched by a stand…which ain't much better.

Well, first of all, you'll be sorta confused if you haven't read parts 3 and 4. For another thing, in my opinion, part 7 is the best part of the series by a fair margin. Part 6 might be one of the better ones after that, might even give it second place depending on my mood, but it also has far more bizarre aspects than any other part. Considering that you found part 7 over-the-top bizarre, that could be a turnoff.
Part 6 is my favorite, honestly. Strong characters, wacky stands, interesting setting, and a polarizing ending that you either love or hate.
! Emporio crying in the rain at the end… holy cow. That scene should be in the dictionary under "poignant."

It has a lot more going for it than parts 5 and 2, the parts I generally put it on the same level of. But it also has a lot of aspects that simply aren't that good, and I don't think it can be pinned down to the first quarter either. I think of part 6 and I think of the phenomenal finale, the excellent cast, the improved art and story, and other standout fights like Heavy Weather and Limp Bizkit. But I also think of Yo Yo ma and Dragon's Dream, the insanely arbitrary nature of the villain's plan, and indeed, various parts that just seem boring sometimes.
Ok, I'll look forward into it. Maybe.

I know I'm a pain, but Jojo's arc are LONG, and I like to use my time correctly.
I've skipped part 6 all this time, god knows why. Seriously, I don't even know why.
I read through parts 1-5, and then. . .I went to SBR. And then, Jojolion.
Weird.
I say it's worth the read, but of course as a huge fan I'm bound to be biased. Let me sell it to you straight.
The main character and villain are two aspects I hear a lot of complaints about, but I like them both. The main character is often accused of being bland, but I think there's a lot to him that people overlook. The main thing to keep in mind is that part 5 isn't the main character's center stage, but that the spotlight is shared rather evenly amongst the main cast. As such, the main character is more of a wingman than anything.
The art is excellent, and is about as stylistic as Jojo gets. The main cast, while weaker than part 6's, is still very fun to watch. The fights and stands are generally agreed to be some of the best in the series. Although the story is simplistic it's easy to get caught up in. It's not the most outstanding of the parts, but it has noticeably less flaws as well. I should note that it requires next to no knowledge of prior parts to understand, outside of its first dozen chapters or so.
Well, during part 5, Giorno already felt like a sidekick to the awesome that is Bucciaratti. Also, to me, the really standout Jojo's are Joseph and Josuke; the rest are ok, but nothing spectacular. So, as long as the cast of protagonists-villains is overall cool, that's ok.
If you say it has the best fights, and it's story-driven, something I missed in Jojo since part 2, then I'm in.
! Also, I already know the downer ending (yeah, I read spoilers all the time), and seeing how the result of it is the new universe, I don't think it's that downer of an ending. In fact, it made Jojo more bizarre and awesome, and it's like everyone is still alive, just . . .in bizarrer settings.
! IMHO, new Morioh mops the floor with the old one, just in sheer WTF-ness factor.

Part 5 is good if just for the characters, stands and Bucciaratti. The story is the most out of place one, similar to part 4 but at least that's coming back with jojolin so who knows. Maybe some day. The only problem with part 6 for me was that some of the villains were really weak. I didn't care very much for bohemian rhapsody or highway to hell

People skipping parts and/or starting from other ones makes me sad.
I mean it's okay since they're mostly independant from each other but man reading it in the proper order is really worth the experience :
-The art evolution (even if i liked buff jojos it's still nice to see how Araki changed gradually his style).
-Each part gives you an answer to the questions you might ask yourself in the previous parts (stone mask, arrow..etc).
-You get to see how huge Dio's impact on the world (get it ? get it ? huh ?) was.
-Different Oraoras.
-Jotaro's transformation over time (he actually changes a lot while staying badass).
Again, I have not a definitive reason as to why I skipped part 6. As I said, I already went part by part from 1 to 5.
Maybe the end of part 5 left me a bit fed up with the jojoverse; too many non-stop fights, and the ending was so convulted I ended up with a huge headache. Then I saw horse-races and Steel Balls and what have you and I thought it sounded super funny and a nice change of pace, so I went after it instead.
In fact, I started reading part 6. I did. At the 16th page or something like that, I just stopped and. . .never went back to it.
But I'll read it ASAP, I swear!
Well, I can certainly see how reading through the entire series in one go could tire one towards it. Part 3 especially lends itself to serial form rather than marathon. And the end of part 5 is quite possibly the most complicated fight in the history of manga.
Read Part 6 because Jolyne is a badass

Yeah. I don't get the skipping parts either. I hated part 4 but I muscled my way through it before I got to 5. I didn't like part 5 or 6 that much but I loved part 7 and I'm enjoying 8.
I would say the Jojo's got less bulky was because they were no longer British. But Jotaru was still really tall.
I'm surprised Josuke being half-british was never brought up.

I discovered Jojo's quite late. Like many, I think, I digged into it because of Dio. But I found an astounding universe. Quite perfectible though…
I'm not a hard manga's fan, and I think Jojo is perfect for someone like me. Especially part 1 and part 7.
Really, only hunter x hunter (before chimera ant) can stand the comparison in my mind.
I know it's one season too soon to talk about this, but I just wanted to say this NEEDS to be part 4's ending.

I think that Joesph and Jotaro are the best. Like many of you i guess. Rest is just ok.
