That still doesn't explain why that HAS to be strictly 3…
A safe assumption yes, but not an adequate explanation on why...
No where did I state that there has to be 3. I only said that it's safe to assume so.

Hey, about admirals thing, i'm not againts idea about there could be 3 or even more, but i think their quality now, say there is more than 2 (we assume this fujitora is admiral in same rank as kizaru ok) admirals, who else could be fill those position? old chars or introduce new char?
No where did I state that there has to be 3. I only said that it's safe to assume so.
Then I have no idea what the argument is all about. It is safe to assume there is three, but it is also safe to assume that there MIGHT be more due to the comment about restructuring the marines or whatever. Assume ASSUME…make an Ass out of You and Me!
As long as no one is arguing that there is only ONE anymore.
@Стрелок:
It's safe to assume that the Marines under Akainu will change and along with the organisation, possibly the number of Marines. How can they fight the Yonkou, the Supernova etc with just 3 admirals?
You can assume that, but betting that the admirals will remain 3 is a safer bet, because we already know that's how the structure works. How can they fight the Yonkou and the Supernovas with just 3? Ummm.. do we not see the Pacifistas, the Pirate dis patch, and Jinbei's reveal that they acquired a new power? Yea, the marines have more ways to improve than just changing the quantity of admirals.

Wrong…you missed it before the mods purged them.
PS: I just realized that there is an argument going on whether there are 3 Admirals...and whether there are MORE than 3 Admirals...and then I realized that I was actually invested in it for a brief moment. However, I then came to the realization that I was invested in a discussion about NUMBERS...

Great catch!! This is so exciting.
My theory on the new strength the WG gave the Marines:
Apoo volunteered to help Vegapunk with his research. He jizzed a few times in a cup in order to give him enough DNA to reproduce and clone him for an army of cyborgs. Remember Sentoumaru saying that the Pacifistas from 2 years ago were prototypes? The completed Pacifistas look and act like Apoo. Instead of building the new model with Kizaru´s lasers, Vegapunk actually managed to reproduce Tsuru´s ability to wash things efficiently. Unlike Kuma though, Apoo refused to be operated on himself which is why he is in the hideout of Kidd with his new found alliance while one of the new model Pacifistas is washing Akainu´s boxers in the background in Marineford.

This is not the "Dumb Predictions" thread.
@Стрелок:
You use many words to say nothing. Could you cut the useless words and present your argument again?
I'll admit that I tend to the overly verbose, perhaps in many occasions unnecessarily so. That said, since others were clearly able to distill at least some contribution of merit from my long-winded diatribe, your off-handed dismissal of the same as entirely worthless makes you come across as lazy, lacking reading comprehension, trying to dodge having to respond to or perhaps rebut any of my points, or some combination of the three. Given that, it also severely strains my kind-hearted allowance that you were ever arguing in good faith to begin with; I would even go so far as to say, in combination with some of your later responses to others, strains it to the breaking point.

Or, if you prefer, I find you a troll. Is that succinct enough for you to parse?

I am not a silly logic. There is no reason to believe that there are 3. The structure can be easily changed to match the different times. You see real-world organisations changing all the time to meet new challenges.
isn't Onigumo kinda of dark purple?
!
!
I been digging and I found some interesting things: Fujitora is the name of a japanese company that make knifes (was posted by someone around page 10).
This guys was in Japan and he saw this big spider called anigumo but he said that there's around 650 species and futhermore he is unable to find a common english name but when I scroll down he got my attention in this paragraph.
The word “oni” in Japanese means “demon” or “ogre”, but can be a reference to size – the largest dragonflies (Anotogaster sieboldii) are known as oniyanma (usually 鬼蜻蜓, but sometimes馬大頭), and the tiger lily is called oniyuri (鬼百合). That said, the bumps on the spider’s triangular-shaped abdomen are reminiscent of a demon’s horns…
as you can see there's one called tiger lily and is called Oniyuri, I google Oniyuri and this came up.
!
A lot of people have been speculating about Onigumo being capable to be an admiral at least one of the VAs have to be and it most likely Onigumo in my opinion.
PS: how many page do you guys think we'll end up reaching before the new chapter? also Here's the link for the article http://wildinjapan.wordpress.com/tag/onigumo/
@Maynard:
What would you guess in how an admiral would use ink?
All I can think of is that it can make enemies slippery so that running and fighting is more difficult.
sorry for the repost:
someone brought up the ink-ink fruit for fujitora…i liked that a lot. it got many possibilities.
something like these guys:
this guy who kurama fought

Just admit that you are wrong already.
This chapter wasn't bad at all. Still, I get the feeling that something is off. Whatever…
So the main highlight for me was the ending. My prediction is that Luffy will not care for the Mera-Mera fruit, but it will fall into his hands either near the end, or at the complete end of the arc through fate. My prediction for some time was that Coby would have eaten the fruit, but now I think if done right, if Coby is with this Admiral(?) "Fujitora", with his upcoming defeat, Luffy will hand him the fruit. Whatever, this is all prediction.
What is interesting is this colosseum business Doflamingo and the others are talking about. Not only that, but the Donquixote family seems to be in power still amongst the chaos going on, and how many members are they? Could be a recipe for an awesome fight.
And being that the Shichibukai organization is falling apart once again, possibly losing two members, I get the feeling that Admiral Akainu is not willing to have Doflamingo quit. He only mentioned Law and Strawhat as being the threat. Almost as if he'd be willing to persuade Joker back into the Shichibukai, despite the report. All in all, I'm waiting for a really good fight soon. Although I'm not amazingly thrilled… I mean, if it was Luffy's plan, I'd be REALLY happy, but being that Law was the one who was planning all of this, it makes it less interesting for me. I mean it's good, just not great. Although at the same time, I'm glad we're not in a fight-arc that is revolving around saving a nakama, or getting justice (I mean, yes they will bring down a great evil at the same time, but whatever). This is more like trying to be decisive in taking down key players in the New World and making a mess of things. Two Yonkou are going to have their crosshairs set on Luffy, and that my friends is when we know the main character is starting to reach for the top. Luffy's finally doing it, and it's finally hitting home, at least for me. I mean Luffy is hitting the Yonkou, the Shichibukai, and the Marines at the same time, and this is just what we should expect from Luffy. But again, the fact that Luffy had no part in thinking this plan through, makes me a little upset. But I let it go for now, knowing that Law's plan may not go the way he will want it to because of Luffy's recklessness, which by fate will cause events to end in a positive manner anyways.
Which brings up another interesting development for Doflamingo, we saw that the citizens of his kingdom were asking him not to abdicate his throne which would seem to imply that to his people Doflamingo is actually a pretty good leader or at least good enough that people weren't throwing a parade when they had that he might leave the throne.
Which means that the alliance could possibly encounter resistance from Doflamingo's vassals meaning they can't just go in without being sneaky and stuff.
I also feel you on the Law thing, personally I don't have a problem with it but I get where you're coming from and I kind of know what it feels like, hopefully by the end Law's plan will be thrown so out of whack that only the bare bones will remain thanks to Luffy.
No one's ever referred to me as Xpy before. I kind of like it! :)

I actually really would dig this, seeing how Onigumo (and Doberman for some part) are the Vice Admirals that most fit Sakazuki's morals. Also I just wouldn't like a new admiral to be an entirely new character. I mean, there are all these VA and then Sakazuki comes and says "Idc, here, this new guy gets the job, brb killing pirates."? I at least do not like the sound of that.^^
I don't want to participate in the discussion, but could anyone tell me where to find Aohiges 4 Admiral theory?

Why are you talking to yourself? I clearly gave you a number of reasons why the number of admirals is not fixed and your best replies were "structure lol", "consistency rofl", both of which are irrelevant. Just stop already, you are emberassing yourself.

It's not like either of you has got anything to say really. The whole conversation's been a constant back and forth of prompting the other to admit defeat. Not that it's not funny to read, mind you.
I don't want to participate in the discussion, but could anyone tell me where to find Aohiges 4 Admiral theory?
I don't have the post, but it's based on this creature.
I see the logic behind posting huge pictures complaining about quality of the discussion. Some high-level trolling I assume?
I think Strelok is done. He was able to hold his own seemingly well until the Great Panda, who shall be known in the songs and legends of our people, crushed his last fighting will with well-built arguments. Oh and by the way I read your long-ass posts, I don't really mind if it takes 15 seconds longer to read it. As long as you're saying something, which obviously is the case, feel free to type as much as you want.
I don't want to participate in the discussion, but could anyone tell me where to find Aohiges 4 Admiral theory?
It can easily be done with 3 animals, it sometimes do.
I just personally like to have all 4.

Except I don't really disagree with you entirely, and find a number of your points valid, as you'd know if you'd bother to actually read my posts. It's your refusal to do that, making you come across as if you are arguing merely for the sake of arguing, that makes me call you a troll – not any simple difference of opinions we may or may not have.
I don't want to participate in the discussion, but could anyone tell me where to find Aohiges 4 Admiral theory?
I see some other people have responded to this already, but here's Aohige's first (that I know of) post bringing the theory up:
You know, I kinda want Sakazuki to up the admiral roster to four, just to keep the Nue theme going.
Monkey - Tiger - Tanuki - Snake.
I mean, there are abbriviated Nue with Monky - Tiger - Snake as well, but 4 animals is the more popular one.
Am I missing something, who is Fuji?
Sigh, you were talking about the color "purple" base new of admiral, didn't you? that "purple" thing comes from name fujitora which, fuji (they assume it as purple) and tora (tiger). seems you don't know what are you talking about is pretty funny.

I am arguing, because some people are wrong. I remember all the long discussion about Buggy being or not being a Shichibukai and guess what - I was right.

The structure of the Marines changes and possibly the number of admirals to match the new times. Which means that Oda could show 4 admirals without being inconsistent.
