This entire battle was splendid. Just wonderfully, cleverly written with how it kept escalating and resolved in such a seemingly logical manner with no cotnrivances or asspulls, just plot elements that were put in the story from the get go.

It was Zenkichi's greatest fight and also his most important victory. Through only a style and the psichological support of everybody he just defeated the strongest of all beings. Everything was awesomely developed and lead to a glorious end to this though battle.
And of course, it's not like I wasn't expecting the siscom bastard to pop out again.

The contradiction skill kept Zenkichi from dying in a second, and it had to be Zenkichi in order to get Shiranui to fight back.

Medaka is the main character but Zenkichi is the character more relatable to us the readers so we see his inner monologues.It's kind of the same dynamic as Haruhi and Kyon in Haruhi Suzumiya.

Any other manga and I'd be suprised/upset at this moon thing but really this is just to be expected with Medaka Box and is probably one of the reasons as to why I enjoy reading it.

Man, I like the series but I was actually hoping this was the end already. If another arc begins after this… I don't know, maybe it's stretching things too much (and I don't think Medaka is gone just like that, unless we see a flashback of what she did in the next chapters)

It's doubtful. I mean, it's possible another arc will start, but I don't think it will be really long. The day of graduation is already there, but the preview indicates Zenkichi will do something.
And just like with anyone at death doors, all the memories flashback in Medaka's mind.

That moment between Kumagawa and Medaka was great. Especially when she said his name and he talked normally.
Still wish this wasn't the end. I'm gonna miss this manga. It was fun.

Although. Where are we time wise exactly now? The elections were held at Christmas. However, president is elected for year long term, so doesn't that mean Zenkichi would come into office in the beginning of April? It would explain why the eyepatch middle schoolgirl is on the high school council. But then why would Kumagawa still be a third year.
Is it still the first year for Zenkichi and his class or the second already?

Didn't the second election happen under special circumstances and that's why Zenkichi came into office earlier than April? At least that's my understanding of it. So basically the first year is ending now and all those events did happen in Zenkichi and Medaka's first year.

Hence why he told Medaka the "button" thing. It must be noted that a few months pass after the latest elections.
In the end it seems Kumagawa keeps trying his best to achieve a victory over something, but again he'll have to endure it and stay with the desire, coz Medaka won't be there to congratulate him for his graduation. Sorry Misogi, may you have better luck next time.

In my eyes the Not Equal arc ended with the 100th election which took place on Christmas Eve (i.e. during the winter vacation). Zenkichi becomes the next student council president and starting with the third semester he comes into office (as can be seen here). To further stress that point – he keeps addressing the manager of general affairs Torai- who is a second-year- as senpai (click) which clearly indicates that Zenkichi's her junior hence still in his first year. On the page prior to the linked one eye-patch girl, who happens to be the new secretary, mentions how her friends went back to middle school and she already enrolled at Hakoniwa academy for some reason thus proving that the other former student council candidates are still in middle school and that the timeline hasn't changed as much as we thought.
Afterwards we have the Jet Black Wedding arc, followed by the Iihiko one and there we go- end of the first year for Zenkichi and the other first-years. Now the button thing Kumagawa mentioned; well it's only natural for him to say that since he's a senior (i.e. in his third year) already. Him graduating happens at the same time as Medaka and co finishing their first year. At the bottom line I still stand by my point that only one year has passed in this manga. -
Guess is better to wait for next chapter so we can take further conclusions.

Ok I guess this counts as the Kumagawa vs Medaka battle we were still waiting so that's done.
I guess next arc is really the final one because we still have the wedding of Zenkichi and Medaka to have and besides that we don't have any more plot points left I don't think.

This chapter reinforces that Kumagawa and Nienami are the greatest 2 characters.
