^ Well duh, it's a horror series. It's supposed to be creepy.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

I was wondering about that scenes that were darkened. Now I have even more reason to buy the dvds.
-
They actually fixed some of those horrible faces. This pleases me.
! Still not paying 50 smackers for 3 episodes :ninja:

Here are some comparison shots from the TV and the BD/DVD versions of the anime:

Volumes 7 and 8 acquired! 9 should arrive soon too.
I don't really like the Death 13 arc. Freaking babies.

There were a lot of fights in part 3 I didn't care for, and that was certainly one of them. I warmed up to it eventually, but that talking baby was weird in a bad way, and how Kakyoin decided to punish him was so disgusting I shudder at the thought.

Araki had a poop fixation going on for a while there. Death 13, and then Polnareff managed to escape Alessi by pooping, and who could forget "Put your dog doo here"

Actually, I forgot about the dog one. When's that from.
…and don't remind me about Alessi. Bar none, the worst fight in the entirety of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

You're just a racist against fetuses
I'd say worst fight goes to Dragon's Dream for being way too long.
"Put your dog doo here" is the ultimate fate of Morioh's very first serial killer, Angelo
-
… I wouldn't have brought up Death 13 if I knew the conversation would go in this direction.
Yeah, the Alessi fight wasn't great either. But it deserves credit for having one of the most twisted villains in the series, the above mentioned fetus is a great example of that. And hey, there was a The Shining reference. And Jotaro gave Polnareff a friendly pat on the back in the end.
EDIT: The recent Jolyne, Gucci de Tobu is now officially translated and free to read!

I have no clue what I just read. But it was so fabulous.

First page…She has two left feet.

-
Jotaro must've married a relative of J. Geil
-
yeah but… she's dead.

yeah but… she's dead.
Being dead never stopped Dio. If anything it just made him more virile.

To quote the abridged version of Gendo Ikari
"I've never been this elated since I boned my dead wife!"

Episode 17:
! Fujiwara's crying performance in the latest episode was spot-on, and the lips movement made me laugh out loud, not to mention the absurd amount of tears.

Gangstars gotta start somewhere, man

passenger hands Polpo a ticket
the ticket turns into a gun and kills him

Part V:
! What I find fascinating about Polpos's assassination is that it only really works if Polpo holds that banana precisely the way he did.
-
This recent episode reminds me.My own personal fanon is that Pillaremen were the ones who
! fabricated all that bullshit about the destruction of the stone being a bad idea.
Would make sense. -
Anyone else feel that the JJBA wiki is too quick to jump to conclusions? Most if not all the SBR counterpart comparisons are essentially fan theories, yet they're listed as facts.
! Not to mention that we don't even know for sure if the SBRverse is the same universe that was created during Made in Heaven. As of JoJolion, the evidence points to the contrary. And as Valentine's D4C demonstrated, there's probably an infinite number of universes.
I mean, it's a fairly informative wiki, but it's also very very fanwanky. I believe the Zelda wiki suffered from the same problem; the line between speculation and fact is just too thin.
-
Well its a Wiki.
-
So much sexual innuendo in this one… "I'm going to fill all your holes with my burning blood!!"
-
! Next episode is titled "Stroheim's Counterattack". And all I think of is Gundam.
! Birthday Suit Santana: Stroheim's Counterattack. Yes, perfect. -
You really have to appreciate how well-crafted the fight was. ACDC was way stronger than Jojo but Jojo still pulled out a win in a way that was respectful to the power and status of such a boss level character. Really, it all comes down to ACDC losing because of his overconfidence. He tried to beat Jojo at his own game, to fight on his level. Instead of just sticking to what he knew, he decided to make the battle about tactics and outsmart and outpsych Jojo. He saw through Jojo's string plan but decided to take it on because rather than just winning by avoiding it, he wanted to crush his plan directly. In the end, his underestimation of Jojo and the progress of the human race led to his downfall. Pretty clever. Can't wait for Jojo vs Wham though, that fight was a whole other level of awesome.

But the alternative universe thing isn't fanwank, it's fact. In the beginning, Araki meant to make SBR as a standalone series, but he couldn't get out of JJBA's influence and then announced in volume 3-5 that SBR was really an alternative universe of JoJo, just like a reboot.
-
Creepy animu only people ship Joseph and Lisa Lisa.
And then Arlong Park tries to convince me spoilers are evil or whatever.

Creepy part is that the reveal won't discourage some of them…

! It's AN alternative universe, but the question is if it's the same as the one Emporio ends up at the end of Stone Ocean.

! It's obvious that is an alternative universe, just like I said when talking about Araki's announcement. But SBR universe is so different (save the counterparts) that it doesn't look like it's an alternative universe, it looks like more of a reboot.
.
And I don't put my two cents anymore in this subject about Emporio, because Araki isn't the type of guy who use early parts to do complex connections to recent parts, he never did this. You can see one or other reference, but expecting answers from Araki about Emporio is highly impossible. -
"Flaming AC/DC". Ha!
Great fight…

It's the nature of shipping….Blegh...

! I think you misunderstood me, dude. I wasn't trying to say that SBR is not a reboot, only that it might not be connected to the end of Stone Ocean.
! For all we know one of the clones that D4C summoned might have been from Irene's universe. -
I'd say it's pretty much certain at this point that SBRverse isn't Ireneverse

An alternate universe doesn't have to be the only alternate universe.

Indeed. Blegh blegh.

Alternatively…he was trying to kill him horribly. You're almost as bad as the shippers. Blegh blegh blegh.
I'd say it's pretty much certain at this point that SBRverse isn't Ireneverse
Indeed.
! Irene had the Joestar Birthmark, which means her existence is completely in congruent with the Joestar family tree in Steel Ball Run and Jojolion. Add to that the fact that people tend to be totally different in the new universe, as opposed to simply living different lives, and even the small snapshot we saw of Emporio's current world doesn't fit.
-
Perhaps the Steel Ball verse is something similar to the Irene verse; everyone has new incarnations but the new incarnations are different between verses.
Or perhaps that one of Johnny's kids (he had like three??) lived in America, and started the branch of the Joestar family that produced Irene.
Or maybe Araki forgot about the specifics of the Part 6 ending because lord knows I want to.
-
An alternate universe doesn't have to be the only alternate universe.
I didn't say this, I said about the alternative universe in the context that SBR, although happening in another timeline, makes part of JoJo. Not that SBR is the only alternative universe of the original JoJoverse.
! I think you misunderstood me, dude. I wasn't trying to say that SBR is not a reboot, only that it might not be connected to the end of Stone Ocean.
! For all we know one of the clones that D4C summoned might have been from Irene's universe.! Yeah, maybe I misndertood, sorry. And about this, if Irene's verse is part of the SBRverse, then it must be some random and totally different dimension from the "corpse universe". But knowing Araki originally thought on a different series before adding SBR in JoJo and he isn't the guy to make complex connections between parts, I would say he pratically forgot or something like that.
-

How come ????????????????? I thought it was a pretty powerful ending myself

The Higashikatas are my favorite sitcom family.

! Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. I don't like how the JoJo wiki lists the Ireneverse and SBRverse being one and the same as a fact, when it's just speculation unless Araki confirms it.
! But frankly, all this talk about dimensions is giving me a headache. XD@ Gliblord: I'm with you on that, I also thought it was a fitting way to end the series; very melancholy. Guess some people just can't be pleased.

Hey guys, remember the "Slam" version of Sono chi no sadame?Well,it's time to slam once again:
-
Basketball Bolas.
My sides hurt.
-
That is the greatest thing.
-
That was amazing…
-
Araki really loves his "quotation marks".

I just read the chapter. You are so right.
