I mean that spark in Elg's eyes clearly shows that Brunch's attack didn't affect him at all, so there's a high probability that his fighting style involves getting hit or something like that. And even if it wasn't the case, i'll say it again, it doesn't seem like it did affect him.

Apart from the upcoming crossover video game Project Versus J, Toriko, Dragon Ball Z and One Piece will have a crossover anime special entitled “Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!!”

The special will be divided into two parts, “Run, Strongest Army! Toriko, Luffy, Goku!” and “History's Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea”.

Arisu Takagi, Toriko producer, teased various possibilities for the upcoming special. This includes a battle between Zoro, Zebra, and Vegeta; Sanji and Komatsu's cooking match; and Chopper witnessing Goten and Trunks' fusion. Mr. Satan is also said to be in the special, as well as gag scenes, and a battle scene where Toriko, Luffy, and Goku all team up together. Producer Takagi adds that this time they will "cram it all in."

The hour-long “Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!!” anime special will air on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 a.m on Fuji TV.

! Yes, you're right about Setsuno. But Kouisairou is clearly said to be one of the strongest member of the 0th Biotope and Rala stated that his absence from Gourmet World would lessen greatly their military power. So in my opinion Kousairou is the strongest person in the stadium, now.

Pretty dang good chapter. As long as Shima focuses on one thing- in this case the fighting-all is well.

Given the situation, this battle will propably be in Marineford mode throughout, but even though I love fleshed out battles, I can live with that.

Best chapter in a long while. It had everything a fight chapter should have, the best parts were seeing Mansam go all out and Livebearer in rapeface mode again, and i'm glad to see Ren finally fighting seriously, i thought she would never do a thing in battle aside from spraying fragrances.

Having reread the early parts of the Cooking Tourney, I'm finding it a real shame Shima didn't even bother to elaborate the 2nd & 3rd rounds of the fest. I really hope he doesn't fast forward these fights as well.

Great Chapter. I loved seeing the chefs using their different cooking methods as attacks. I was very happy to see Wabutora fighting with his oil. Out of all of the chefs introduced he is probably my favorite, I don't know why though.

In this volume that just came out (23) Shimabukuro is putting in a new segment where he shows/explains manuscript pages he discarded. They're pretty neat, like deleted scenes. He says at some point he started just doing manuscripts without doing names. And once in a while he decided "There's really not time for this" so he cut it out. I remember thinking it was odd that Toriko didn't fight the Scorpion Demon Cattle or anything on the way to Honey Prison. SHimabukuro had originally had a page or two of those.

Thanks kewl for the info. I thought it was already enough to see him put extra pages in certain chapters, but this could be even more interesting.

This makes me happy/sad at the same time. If the manuscripts become a regular thing in his volumes, I bet there'd be a bunch of cool ideas that'd be really interesting to see but annoy me that they're not put in there (like for example…the other two matches in the cooking fest).
