I missed the last 10 pages or so but has anyone figured how Caesar got up into the sky and seemingly electrocuted?
Chapter 695: Leave it up to me!

Neither Luffy, nor Zoro, nor Sanji, nor Frankie can…
! hide like Ussop,
http://s1.directupload.net/images/130116/nab7mpuw.pngLOL wow. It took me like an entire minute to notice Usopp. Also, his pose reminds me of the "Kilroy was here" graffiti.

He just floated up in the sky, gas can easily do that, and Nami electrocuted him.

He was grabbed by Baby 5 of panel -same as Bufallo got airborn off panel right after Law & Co came out. He was on Bufallo's back with Baby 5 when Nami had the lighening strike the group.
If you go to Manga stream, it happened between pages 10 & 11[HIDE]
here on pg 10 they are on the ship then…
its that double spread page, look at bottom panel right side. There CC's flowing robs beside Baby 5 as Bufallo flies off, to the side of the "Vroom".
So she grabed him off panel , same as Bafflo got into the air off panel

@The:
So let Sanji to kick-ass a Vice Admiral :ninja:
I think Sanji could have beaten Vergo, at first i thought that was going to happen then I remembered that Sanji's body was already injured from when nami was using it.
If he had been at full health I would have expected him to at least hold his own, which he seemed to be doing anyway until his injured foot gave way.
I like your sig with Jimbei on it, I hope he will join in the next arc, the sooner the better.

There is no way in hell Sanji could've won against Vergo, Smoker barely managed to get Law's heart back and got the shit kicked out of him in the process. Sanji isn't Vice-Admiral/Low-Tier Shichibukai level yet, but he is getting closer.
-
So, if Nami was able to elecrocute Caesar, does that mean that electricity is Caesar's elemental weakness?
-
So, if Nami was able to elecrocute Caesar, does that mean that electricity is Caesar's elemental weakness?
That's a good question. Isn't CO2 used to make electricity? So it shouldn't affect him.
But I get confused putting real-life physics in One Piece.
-

Where did she electrocute ceaser. I think she electrocuted buffalo and baby 5.

Ey I disagree, I believe the reason why Sanji's leg lossed against vergo wasn't because he was simply overpowered but it was also to exaggerate the damage that was done to his body when Law switched him.
-
Well, it could've electrocuted him, but it doesn't mean he was affected. Wasn't the same with Luffy when he fought Enel?
-

That's an interesting thought, but it was really just to hype Vergo. Sanji was the backbone of the Punk Hazard Arc and he made us see how dangerous Vergo is. I still think it's absurd to say that Sanji could fight and win against Vergo at his current level.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Well, it could've electrocuted him, but it doesn't mean he was affected. Wasn't the same with Luffy when he fought Enel?
He was affected, we saw him falling down next to Baby 5 and Buffalo and he was smoked to a crisp.

Well… Then we can conclude one thing, if it was Enel, PH arc would've ended in two chapters :ninja:
-
It's not fair, so far I think only Sanji has the worst powerup!! Zoro and Sanji have always been around the same strength but now I think Zoro is way stronger than Sanji now. Everyone displayed some awesome growth, Nami and Usopp especially after this chapter. And no I will not take "well they haven't had a chance to display their strengths yet" as an excuse b/c even without a proper fight everyone but sanji looks like they got major powerups!

[/HIDE]Thanks! I knew I was something. I was certain he just didn't float up.
What's nice to know is that Nami's lightning affected a gas logia.
As for Vergo and Sanji, I'd argue if Vergo really is Doflamingo's 2nd in command/power Zoro or Sanji could have taken him. I'd also say Sanji has had more "amazing feats" since the time skip than Zoro. Doesn't really matter though. They trained so Admirals, Pacifistas and Warlords wouldn't be able to just one shot them any more. Pretty sure they've met that criteria.
-

Don't logia's have to consciously go intangible. I mean look at the state of CC, he's barely alive, so he wasn't alert enough to stop it. He was more alert during usopp's attack.
-
So now the card deck theme for the underworld theory seems to have a very good base, we have Joker and Jack, and now also the suit Heart. So there may be a King and a Queen, and underworld "seats" for the other 3 suits (Spade, Diamond and Club).
And it is very possible that this new person is the Jack…
I don't think so. cause ace was the captain of the "spade pirates"

He was just waking up that's for sure, how aware he was I don't know, for now I'm chalking up a 2nd logia hit for Nami.

The strange thing is that gas does not conduct electricity unless the gas is found at low-pressure, but even then, it's still a poor conductor.
However, this doesn't seem to apply to lightning, because lightning uses the atmosphere as an conductor to reach the ground. I don't exactly know the explanation for why this happens, but I guess it has something to do with the voltage.

Lightning happens because the Voltage is high enough to turn air into a conductor for a brief instant while the voltage is discharged. Basically the electrical force is so great it rips electrons from their protons and creates a plasma it can travel through. I think its called the dielectric breakdown constant or something, but its why all the electrical energy of lighting is focused into an extremely narrow beam to the tallest object/best conductor. Though If I remember correctly, in real-science terms this should have allowed Enel to hurt Luffy by just building up enough voltage (~25 Million volts or so), but whatever.

wasn't Caesar just taken by surprise?
on another news, Franky's super hairstyle is back. -
Chapter 695 Review:
- So Caribou gets an extra pie plus directions to the port. What is going on with Kaidou's island?
- Great to see General Franky pull out an epic move.
- Loved the reactions to General Franky from the Mine-Cart crew, especially the women's haha
- That panel where Law calls the Donquixotes his enemies? Epic.
- What is the seat of hearts?
- Great to see Usopp and Nami get the spotlight and literally roast and chomp Dolflamingo's henchmen out of the sky.
- And then Caesar getting owned. Oh man. I bet Law thinks a bit more highly of the crew now.
- And then theres this shadow approaching Punk Hazard…wonder when Dolflamingo is going to show up?
-
Everyone thinks that the mysterious silhouette is Aokiji, but I doubt that, Oda is always trying to trick and mislead us into thinking obvious things.
I think this mysterious person is someone from Wano who is looking for Kinemon and Momonosuke.

This is what I was thinking too but Oda is Oda so whoever it is will bring excitement to the story!

Come on, you're falling into Oda's trap, that's exactly what he wants you to think.
Everyone is going to be surprised when it's a new/unexpected character.

So I guess in this case, Donquixote is the last name and Doflamingo is his first. I always thought it was the other way around. So do all One Piece characters follow the Asian style of surnames first?
Trafalgar, Bartholomew, Eustass and Jewellry are all intended to be last names?
-
I hope you like it.

Yes, we have yet to see Oda confirm any weastern style family names. Thats why Luffy is still calling Law "Trafal-guy", he's using the last name since they are not yet on first name basis.
IF this is true and ALL character follow the surname first, then some that seem to have western names are the opposite than what we have thought, like Edward Newgate and Catarina Devon.
At first glance I thought the first names are Edward and Catarina but it may be that they are Newgate and Devon. -
what if the last pic was a SEAGULL ZOAN who is sitting/laying on a flat wood(just like Blackbeard ship) as he floats.

Ye..no I don't "like" it… I LOVE IT!

Trafalgar, Bartholomew, Eustass and Jewellry are all intended to be last names?
Eustass, Bartholomew and Jewellery are definitely first names.
Oda hasn't confirmed anything, and I doubt he will considering the issue isn't important enough, but having some common sense and applying it does not hurt. Oda doesn't have to spell out everything for you to form reasonable beliefs about the story and the context.

Katzztar I was wondering if you were gonna change your avatar after this chapter. Chompy got a lot of "character" development

Nobody called them Jones or Clown/Crown.

Not necessarily, in the story's/East Asian context, they are family/surnames.
Some names follow the Western pattern, though.

Yes I am…. thinking of the page it's chomping on the ship... gotta color it first!
What about Hody? And Caesar?

Those would be the first names in the asian style= Hody Jones and Caeser Clown.
Actually I thought Jinbe called Hody by his name, Jones, once and only once in the flashback. hmmm I need to reread FI -

I still can't get over the fact Nami is "biting" her tongue while smiling. It's the absurd on photos nowdays. But amazingly-well done.
Now make an anime version one, with Nami's bikini colours wrong and Ussop shaking and sweating:ninja:EDIT: I ended doing it, credits to Tabasco Boshi for the original

Just take a character's friend or close associate and use the way they call the character to find out their first and family names.
Killer uses "Kid" = Eustass is the surname.
Ivankov uses "Kuma" = Bartholomew is the surname.
The Bonney Pirates use "Bonney" = Jewelry is the surname.
The Fishman Pirates use "Hody" = Jones is the surname. -

People call House House. Yet Gregory is his first name. Unless you believe that House is his first name..?

Can you please give me page where her crew calls her "Bonney"? I can't remember it, Only time I remember is them calling her captain.

I may be wrong but I thought with the Japanese they called heir superiors by the last name out of respect. -
