^Er, Bible Games III was the holiday episode of last year.
edit: Now I get it, it's been finally released to YouTube. Odd.
-
-
I love how all the balls are squares. It's so amusing~

Makes me wonder, did anyone ever port Tetris to the Atari ?
Not a bad episode, especialy given I'm kinda the same way in preffering action games and not realy caring about sports titles.
-
Some of those games just looked…..hiliarously....retro?
Karate, Math Grand Prix, and Golf had me in tears.
-
I dunno… Felt like he was swearing over nothing in this one.
-
Ugh looks like both James' accounts are down on youtube. Wonder what's up.
At least they're still available on the cinemassacre site.
-
Apparently his account was down for a bit.
-
Maybe he put up a Shining Force III review?
-
And YT link for the added bonus.
-
Good ol James, when Doug lets me down, at least I know James is keeping consistent with these reviews.

looks like James is getting his own game on steam…Any game that functions as a homage to retro gaming is a major plus in my book. So yeaaaah support it
-
Only just found out about the game. Apparently it's coming to the Wii U too so huzzah. Liking some of the throw backs to classic games. The Moon from Majora etc.

I'm going to assume this is what it's like talking to any creator of bad games.
-
First of all, the NES game is absolutely terrible. Second of all I was eating by the end of a video, kind of a bad idea.
Anyway not bad episode, but I do wish Kaufman didn't have to respond to everything James said in the video.
-
I can't tell you how much that man wins at life
-

ehhh not really the creator of the game, but the creator of the premise of the game (Troma movies head). Kaufman's such a goodball which is appropriate for the guy behind Troma. As a big fan of horror, it must have been a real honor for James.
-
Oh yeah? I see, but I can still dream.
-
This one was his funniest in a while, i thought, decent focus on the game. Loved the "time rebels" plotting and the historical gifts.
-
New AVGN, this time on Tiger Electronics games
-
I had ones for Connect Four and Battleship a long time ago. I suppose those were more innocuous and less offensive than…Full House.
-
How did Full House manage to sneak its way into another video game venue?
Also, "this is proof Jesus died in vain and changed his middle name to Fucking!"
-
I remember playing these kinds of games also, I very rarely played them after a few minutes though. I always had something much better to play.
-
Oh man. I remember playing those games. I can't even remember which ones I had.
I know at one point I had this small Sonic game that came with a Happy Meal or something.
-
Wow. These were the days. I think I even regretted learning to play a few when I was a kid. Even AS a kid.
-
I had the Street Fighter one, even as a kid I knew it sucked.
I don't know why I played it as much as I did. It wasn't very often but still, there are better ways to kill five or ten minutes. -
I had Chip N' Dale and Sonic 2.
Part of the reason I kept going back to play those games was because I was desperately trying to figure out what the mechanics of each were. It was particularly difficult for me to figure out how to win at Chip N' Dale (it's honestly difficult to discern whether the ending scene is good or bad). Basically, I was mistaking depth for poor conveyance.
-
You can pretty much see all the scenes while the game is loading.
-
I'm pretty sure it still didn't help. Just going off of memory, I think it was hard for me to tell if the characters looked happy, mad, etc. For all I know, there was only one ending scene and you were just playing for points.
-
It's a time like this when I'm glad I'm not from the US, since those games looked bad as hell. Over here it was Gameboy or nothing.

Those were available in Europe. I had the Tiger Castlevania game when i was 7 or 8 and i still remember how bad it was … But they weren't as wide spread as in the US i guess.
-
I had a Star Trek one. Which was alright since it was basically just dodging asteroids and shooting them.
No complaints about that.

I never lived in the US growing up(from the Caribbean)… And these were everywhere.
-
Huh. Maybe I just didn't notice them, in that case. I had a Gameboy while growing up, as did most every kid in my school. We had similar things to those Tiger things, basically a portable console with just one game on it, but never licensed stuff like Full House or Street Fighter. And they weren't nearly popular enough to overshadow the Gameboy.
-
I will give Tiger this, that Full House game sounded rad on paper.
Unfortunately there's no one on that show I would want to high five. -

lollll where on earth are you getting an idea that those stupid things ever even remotely overshadowed gameboy??
They were cheap disposable crap you picked up in like the trinket aisles. No one ever considered them alike to Game Boys, or on their level. And if you played one you sure as shit never said "gosh this one screen beepy thing I picked up in the Toy store cashier aisle is way better than actual full games". -
omg…I had this:
![](http://i.ebayimg.com/15/!BYHO,TwBmk~$(KGrHgoH-EMEjlLlwLjKBKf0IZWE-w~~_35.JPG)and to this very day I have no idea how the heck one was supposed to play this thing.

I'm sure he was exaggerating, but still.

They were cheap and easy to get. What of it?
How does that make you think Game Boys were rare or underplayed or whatever you were implying.
They were COMPLETELY different markets.
These things were basically just the forerunner to tamagotchis. Fuck I'm pretty sure eventually some forms showed up in Happy Meals they were so disposable. They were never comparable to Game Boys in the first place. Look later in the video where he shows that Tiger did actually try and make something to COMPETE with Game Boys (as in, enter the same market as Game Boys because these things sure as hell never were) and failed miserably.

I'm not at all saying that I thought Gameboys was a rare commodity, at all. I'm just saying that the video made me believe that these were more, well, not popular, but I guess more easily accessible. They were cheaper, you needed to buy multiple ones if you wanted more games, and they were licensed products. I know they're not nearly the same product, I was just saying that over here I've never seen one of those Tiger things, while everyone instead had a Gameboy.

We did have Game & Watchs though. :) I still have a couple somewhere I think.

New AVGN:
Quality ass.

New AVGN.
-
I figured there would be an episode of his game, didn't know there were so many others though. Good episode.
