For some reason it makes me smile seeing Uvo alive and kicking
Hunter x Hunter II

I still can't get over the fact that the previous #4 is so non-Ryodan.

HUNTER X HUNTER VOL. 32 RAW
Chapter 336 & 337 are left as kindergarten doodles with chunks of screentone just like they first appeared in the magazine.
So much for "Togashi redraws everything for the volumes he isn't lazy you bunch of haters".

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!
Oh, but seriously, Togashi's a genius. We could NEVER hold it against him….....pfft. -
that's just bs, they shouldn't have let it be published like that for the vol. on principle… too bad that principles don't pay any bills

On the upside, we need never make the argument or rants again. We can just repost that image as a full scale rebuttal to pretty much anything.

So I won't have people trying to cut off my nuts for saying Togashi is a lazy, moral-less prick ? Cool !
And yes, I know, the way alot of us reads this series isn't moral either but dammit, at least we're not lazy !
-
Well shit, I have to admit that is a new level of laziness for him now. Pity, he had been doing so well with the volumes up to this point.

Wow. That's. Yeah.
Inexcusable.
-
Also the change of thread name (Scribble Boogaloo) made me think Togashi actualy published some new doodles while I wasn't aware of it.

I don't think there's a single person here who'd seriously argue Togashi isn't lazy.

There have been plenty.
The last defense of "he redraws it for the trades and you shouldn't be looking at the crappy magazine scans anyway" has often been used as a feeble excuse.
Are there any others left now?
-
There's still the classic excuse of he's 'sick'

I don't think that was so much of a "Togashi isn't lazy" excuse as much of "you don't really have the right to complain about the scribbles" defense. It's an entirely different story. No one is debating Togashi is horribly lazy. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who is saying the scribble releases in Weekly Jump aren't lazy. We just couldn't have much in the way of complaints since we aren't paying for those scribbles. We could point out how absolutely awful they are but that's really about it since they had been up to this point been fixed in the volume releases.
See, now if that's how the volume releases are going to print both domestically and internationally that's is something we can legitimately complain about since that is the product people who buy the volumes (such as myself) are going to receive.
-
what Jay says, and also lol
-
He left those particular chapters with a sketchy look because it better presented the undefinable feel Gon had spending time with his father
:p
-
You're joking but I bet someone said that seriously somewhere else.
-
-
I just belive that he's trully sick.
Take it however you like.

I read "sick" as "drunk" in your post.
Have I stumbled onto something or is it just the lack of sleep I wonder ? :ninja:

Sounds like a kubo fanatic right here.

The Togashi equivalent of Kubo's 'I feel drawing is just like illustrating the "air."'
-
-"Hello everyone, my name is Togashi and I am a LazyMangaArtist"
-"Hello Togashi": P
in all seriousness, Togashi did fine job with his last batch of releases, he even started and completed a new mini-arc with Alluca. God I hope hxh will come back in January
-
i was hoping that now the volumes have reached the actual magazines releases he would.
But that. That is just lazy -
I can't believe they actually published that.
Doesn't it hurt the jump brand?I also wonder what the Japanese fans think of Togashi.
Do they share our frustration? -
Guys no quick judgment. It's just a RAW, I'm sure Togashi will fix this for the scanlation.

LOL,
and if scanlation still will be the same then something wrong with your screen, don't you dare to blame the artist!
-
The scribbles have never bothered me cause he usually fixes them but now…seeing as how those chapters were not fixed i'm baffled. Unless that RAW is comprised of the chapters from WSJ but that would just be silly.
-
I heard the anime was going end in April. Anyone got any news about when the anime finishes?
-
I'd be surprised if they didn't at least animate the chimera ant arc, so I see it going for at least a couple more years.
-

i doubt it will. i remember when it came out people where saying it was only gonna cover yorknew and we're past that now
-
No episode this week? Bummer
-
maybe theyve already ended it? :ninja:
-
it's hunter x hunter. So it's on hiatus.
-
They're emulating Togashi by going on hiatus just after starting a new arc
-
Maybe the anime is on pause for two weeks like the jump titles? Jojo also didn't get an episode this week.
-
that is what it is. Jojo, one piece, hunter x hunter and toriko should all be back next week
-
Just a random thought about a game I'd love but will probably never be made. How about a Hunter X Hunter RPG starring characters made specifically for the game? You might bump into Gon and co throughout the game, but you wouldn't play as them. That way there'd be more freedom for the plot of the game
Togashi is always coming up with game ideas (the whole GI arc, in the notes for tankobon releases he's talked about ideas for table top card games he's come up with in the past, according to the internet he's a big gamer; DQ series in particular)
I'd love a game that explores the world of Hunter X Hunter with Togashi overseeing the project. Probably wouldn't happen but a man can dream. I want the same sort of game for One Piece
-
A greed island game would be feasible, as it doesn't require for you to create your nen.
Implementing the nen system in a video game would be very hard. Specialy if it's done in a "fill these forms to know your nen disposition" then you get a basic nen power and with each level up you can shape it in a way you like.
You start as an emiter? next level up you could get range, power, presicion, or asing some points to other nen capability, "reinforce it" "make it fire" "create a sentry" "manipulate it"
It would be hard with specialist, though.
-
^^I agree but how about having a cast with pre-defined nen? It'd be fun to have a sandbox-come-up-with-your-own-nen power system, but that's not really feasible
If the game's party consisted of 5 or so characters, they could all be certain nen type (You could have an enforcer, a manipulator, etc) and depending on how the player chose to level up, you could shape their ablities. You wouldn't be in complete control of their abilities but you could tailor them a bit. It's not complete freedom, but it's something feasible and it'd still be fun
-
I can see a HxH game working out more in the ways of how 358/2 days for the Kingdom Heart series worked
where you have missions but you still levled up.
Now in regards to nen I like your idea HXHAlex to have it be 5 main characters each with a particular nen ability already established and each one of these characters representing the 5 hatsu's (i know, i know there are 6 but i'm not including specialist) and have these characters also represent the characteristic traits that Hisoka finds in his own divination when it comes to who would be what as a hatsu user. So this would mean a Enhance, Emitter,Manipulation,Conjurer and a Transmuter.
-
You know, when I see Greed Island and the entire Nen system, I do get the feeling that Togashi wanted to make a video game instead of a manga.

Togashi inserts video game playing portions in every one of his manga, actually!
In Tonda Birthday Present, one of the very first works Togashi worked on, a young kid accidentally brings a video game to life.
In Level E there was a planet where school children were whisked off to go on an RPG-esque quest that basically had exactly the same sort of rules as Dragon Quest. It was a precursor to Greed Island in a lot of ways.
In Yu Yu Hakusho there was a character called Gamemaster who could bring video games to life.
In the manga whatever happened to the character in the game happened to the person playing him in real life, and in the anime the player was actually transported within the game at times. And in Hunter X Hunter obviously we have Greed Island.
So when people say Togashi loves video games, they are not kidding. -
He is just waiting for someone to ask him if they can make a video game of Hunter x Hunter so that he can drop the series on then.
That is the real reason of the hiatus!
-
So when people say Togashi loves video games, they are not kidding.
All that, plus him ditching manga to play Dragon Quest.
-

Was that really confirmed or is that just the main hypothesis of the fans? Didn't Shounen Jump just say he was sick?
