Angry Video Game Nerd

^Thats the same "Holiday Memories" clip show he had on ScrewAttack last year before his holiday special/Grinch parody. I forgot why specifically, but due to some agreement with ScrewAttack, theres a HUGE period between the ScrewAttack uploads and when he can actually upload videos to the YouTube account.

I figured it was from last year. Still, seems kind of a pointless video to be honest.

Now you guys might have noticed Mike doing random reviews and things to hold over James' youtube channel. You also might remember them looking over a Super Mario Brothers Super Show DVD with inspector Gadget explaining to kids how to use a menu. I actualy liked that and found it a good diversion, plus I laughed at the impression, even if it wasn't realy that close.
Now Mike does this
He doesn't even try to keep up the impression for more then five seconds, the jokes' aren't funny and the ending is like "Oh yeah, Gadget kills people, that's funny right ?". -
Well personally i don't really like Mike anyway and i don't watch his videos usually. I'm glad when the movie is finished and James does his episodes on regular basis again.
Mike's humour always seems kind of forced to me and isn't nearly as sympathetic as James. But apparently many people like him. -
Mike is Angry Video Game Nerd's Nella.
-
-
I never understood people's obsession of her. She's not funny or insightful. Most of the reviews she's takes away more than she gives. But each to their own I guess.
But its an easy comparison between Mike and Nella. They're both friends of a much more popular internet producer, both appeared in their friends work in till they were known enough to do things on their own. Apparently their both hit or miss between people.
-
Mike's performance as Joker was brilliant, though. Cant' comment on Nella since I don't watch videos she's in.
AVGN videos have an incredible replay value. I've seen all of them and still can watch my favourites over and over. To me AVGN videos have the same kind of quality as I have with Spoony, where even his VLogs are entertaining me. Touring around his room, reading his mailbag (live like the windrammer as you fuck!) etc. are stuff I just want to watch.

New episode yo
-
Where did the rivalry between the Nerd and the Critic go these past few years?

They pretty much resolved it back in the 1st year anniversary. Since then, James just makes a cameo in each of the anniversary specials.
While I personally wouldn't mind if they did a crossover every now and then, I understand that the two of them have to be left to their own shows and business and them pairing up too often would be really hectic on their schedules.
-
He's no Angry Joe, but I'll give the guy a peep.
-
Fuck me, a new AVGN episode?! I almost completely forgot about James for a while now, with him working hard on the movie I thought we really wouldn't see a new AVGN until it comes out.
Thanks a lot for showing us this Jay, I'll give it a watch after I get home, can't wait. -
Wait this is a new episode ? But why is it out on youtube already, doesn't James wait like a year after it aired on SA usualy ?
-
New episode everyone
-
That was the most orignal F-Bombing in the whole AVGN series.
-
This actualy seemed like a legitimate full playthrough and not just the first one and a half levels like when he did Dragon's Lair :D
-
That's probably because Ghosts N Goblins is actually beatable with enough skill (and luck) as opposed to NES Dragon's Lair which is beatable by accomodating to it's hilariously slow controls and having to know what's coming next in order to do anything about it. If even I can beat Ghosts N Goblins, it's definitely doable.
Well, at least if you have the Western releases of the game anyways. The North American and PAL versions of GnG have unlimited continues. The original Famicom release only had 3 lives and no continues~

Actualy they did have unlimited continues in Japan, but it was a "secret".
-
Wow, new episode just when I was marathoning through the old ones~
And a nice one too. -
That game was more evil than Little Red Hood and Super Pitifall combined. Only two hits? You have to beat the game TWICE to get the victory screen? Which, by the way…..wasn't worth it lol
The ending was brilliant.
-
ha ha. halloween always gets james motivated. thanks for the episode.
-
Interesting, the last two AVGN episodes were posted directly on Youtube instead of being on Screwattack for a whole year. Last time I thought it was just a "post movie draught exception" but now ?

The ending screen was hilarious. The first and the second one as well. The first for being so assy and the second for the spelling mistakes all over
-
I'm probably going to have Unicorn nightmares now.
-
I know this was the 80's and crap but why not just call them ogres or something ?
-
Because it's the 80's and crap, borky translations all throughout.
-
There's just some halarious sense of irony calling them Unicorns tho.
-
Very nice episode, might be because he finally reviewed a game I'm at least vaguely familiar with.
-
Ladies and gentlemen…
It actually looks better than expected. -
Holy shit, that looks legitimately fantastic. Seems like it will have been worth the wait.
-
Yeah. I didn't think I could see a long time movie after just seeing his reviews, but that does look really good.
-
Looks corny and legit. Just like his show. Will see.
-
I'm a little worried about the other characters, but so far, it all looks promising.
Loved the Top Gun reference. -
That seems entertaining.
-
wow. I'm excited for this. looks impressive, actually.
-
That doesn't look like something you'd expect from an internet review show. It looks more like a movie from a big budget company that has some form of idea of what they're doing.
-
Damn, I'm so looking forward to this.
This is some of the best production value I've seen for an Internet review movie. This is like…made-for-TV movie good.
-
That looks jokes. So gonna watch. I wonder if he'll actually review E.T in the film
-
Remarkable high production values. It is amazing to see how much James has progressed since back when he started. I wonder where Doug will make an appearance on this.
-

I believe it was confirmed he will. At least, I hope.
But yeah, this trailer looks amazing. Great production values, music…..it's just grand all around. Liking James' little posse he has in the movie, and did he get a darker pair of glasses?
....who cares, I want to see this so badly now.
-
Not too shabby, nerd.
Not too shabby.
-
Yeah, can only agree, that looks pretty damn sweet.
Didn't expect this movie to turn out like this, you know, being an actual movie with story line and many other side characters, etc. but thinking about it, how would he even be able to stretch the usual concept to more than an hour anyway?
Looks good, still kinda shabby and corny, at that's just right. -
This honestly looks a lot better than what I was expecting.
I'll go as far as to say that it looks better than any of the TGWTG anniversary specials.
-
I gotta agree that it looks better than expected. I just hope that chick won't be a love interest.
-
i'm sure Jame's skills have progressed, but you have to realize that his AVGN reviews are just very low budget. He went all out for this movie.
-
-
My god, what a massive line.
Also, I envy the guy that got his SMB3 game signed by James…...
-
D'aww James is gonna be a dad
