God the Amigo pirates. They're like the Jiggly Butt Gang of this series. They fail in so many ways they get beaten by random people gently throwing pebbles at them.
Please, let's not talk about the Jiggly Butt Gang. Those guys annoy the hell outta me.

And Colt, oh Colt, how he doesn't do anything the whole arc and the one moment he uses a technique he's immediately out of bullets and gets beaten ? Not to mention the huge ass lazyness of the whole Little East Blue arc and setting as a whole, it's non existant conection to the movie etc.
How about good ol' largo and his ridiculous Net-Net abilities? Derp, I can make nets.

Ice Hunter would be good, if they actualy didn't cut like half the episodes. I mean it, there's scenes that come up earlier that are never resolved, and you have the Phoenix Pirates being completely powerless losers except for Puzzle who somehow got the same bounty Luffy got for taking down Crocodile for swinging a chain around prissily. It's pretty bad when your one and only weapon can be immobilised by a guy just half-assedly kicking snow ontop of it.
The only good thing was the fight with the Don, this being the first time a filler fight didn't result in an immediate curbstomp and actualy extended beyond one episode. Although them changing Don Achino's fruit type halfway through the arc was a bit dumb.
That's kind of my issue with the arc. I think Puzzle had potential, and I liked his backstory. FYI, Puzzle got a bounty as high as he did for being a peristent prick who just would never go down no matter how many times someone punched him or stabbed him. That I can see, but they could have done a LOT more to make this more believable. Extended flashback for Puzzle instead of some of the dumb filler-in-filler scenes we got there would have accomplished that.
As much as I liked the Bounty Hunters, my issue with the fights were how lame the second half was. The first round was pretty good, but they got overpowered too easily the second time. And as you mentioned, Puzzle's "fight" against Campacino or whatever the other twin's name was was terrible.
I did quite enjoy the fight against the Don. They didn't change his fruit abilitiy halfway, though. He just kept getting hotter and hotter until he could supposedly withstand the heat of lava. I'd like to see him fight Akainu though, LOL. Can you say magma fist?
@Galaxy:
I have a question about the Ice Hunter episode area. How far was the anime behind at this point? I know Post-Enies Lobby had 1 chapter pacing, then Ice Hunter came, and then Thriller Bark came and we still got crap pacing. If we get filler next, then we probably will still get a crappy next canon arc, unless they were just further ahead then.
Enies Lobby was where shit hit the fan. When Enies Lobby finished, if memory serves, we were JUST starting the battle with Oars. And in the manga, those were short chapters with all fighting and not enough to extend into full chapter episodes properly. In my opinion, the Ice Hunter arc should have been longer. It had the potential to be done better and the ending was too rushed. That would have given Thriller Bark a somewhat batter start, as those episodes in the beginning were really boring.
We're in the exact same boat right now. I don't know what they'll do after, but we need another filler arc very badly.

Well at least we're not getting flashbacks to the same scene from twenty episodes ago in like five consecutive episodes like we did get at the end of EL. How many times did they use that particular clip of the Ohara flashback after it was over, exactly ?
Far too many. As good a scene as it was, enough was enough.

Also I seem to be the only person actualy annoyed by Brook this episode.
Why? I thought he was great as always.

I have an idea for a filler. Toei did the Jipango fillers which were kinda meh (a good concept, especialy with Luffy actualy being basicly a law abiding guy who'se job is to capture criminals and they could have used this in a way reminescent of Romance Dawn v. 2 with Garp as a pirate, sadly they didn't, plus they had Buggy in every episode and Robin was a background character at the palace, so yeah, good idea wasted), why not do fillers with Mr. Frank as a private detective ? I'd laugh my ass off at that, truth be told.
Anything with Franky as the lead, whether in Perv mode, SUPER ARMORED ME Mode, or Mr. Frank mode would be epic gold in my opinion.
Not gonna lie. I miss those Jipang specials. I'd like to see a few more with all the new characters post time skip.
@Ghostprincess:
really slow episode, at least there was Zeo and his epic posings xD This resuced this episode 8D
I quite agree, and he's the only New Fish-Man Pirate I can swallow aside for Hyouzo.
They totally ignored you!
THAT'S BECAUSE I WHISPERED IT!!!
^ Great Oda comedy as usual. Though I'm not too fond of the fried squid joke and all that stuff.
