Exposed to SS? How could that have been offered as an explanation if his powers developed before they invaded SS?
I guess he meant Hueco Mundo, because he got a power-up there.
Still doesn't make any sense.

I thought it was "Karakura town is Reiatsu Central". It was never explecitly stated, but hell, even random pedistrians could see Mulletzen.
Anyway, I don't claim to be a great military tactician, but the SS captains have completely lost me with their logic here. It's like…
if a general was trying to capture the enemys trench, only the enemy has some secret weapon that prevents it. The army don't know what it is, just that it kills a shitload of soldiers. Solution? Keep sending soldiers to their death no mans land until we work out a plan! And the general will join in! And 3 other generals decide on the same thing!
This whole thing would maybe ring a little more true if we'd actually seen the captains at least try and fight without bankai first, an struggle. But the only one who got any spotlight was Byakuya, and he was actually doing well, so…..huh?

I don't think that analogy is correct. It's not like Byakuya is throwing soldiers at As and they all die because of the Bankai stealer thingy.
No, but is is stupidly wasting resources on a strategy that has been proven not to work
Why did they use their bankais knowing that they will end up losing them? That's just stupid.
Why couldn't they just use their shikia and will power.
The two easiest things they can do is unlock Aizen. Use their ultimate weapon "Ichigo".
Oh yeah there is also a zero squad and Kenpachi.

What?

Though I wouldn't put it past them, that'd be a pretty stupid thing to do. Even if Aizen agreed to fight off the Quinzis, he'd just as soon betray them and then he'd be running loose again.

He's kinda busy in Hueco Mundo.

They could only see Mulletzen because once you're kicking about SS you've been temporarily converted into spirit matter.
As for SS's shittiness at wars, I don't imagine the Gotei 13 have had to defend Seireitei against very many invading armies, million year history notwithstanding

By will power I mean using all your strength and never give up, they never tried to use their shika to the fullest.
If they don't want the whole soul society slaughtered, the only choice they have is releasing Aizen(the troll master)
Ichigo should have finished that battle already.
Comparing this week's Bleach to this week's One Piece, you really see how much more content Oda packs into his chapters than Kubo does. In One Piece, we had a brief fight, began looking for the samurai's torso, Luffy got poisoned, and also we established the Slime monster's threat a little more.
In Bleach, we found out that the Quincys steal, rather than seal, ban-kai, which actually has the same practical meaning: you can't use ban kai. also some random guy got slashed.
In other words, everything is exactly the same as if the Captains had just said "we can't use our ban kai!" and gotten on with the fight anyway.
Sorry to bring up the Yu Yu Hakusho ending again but it ties in with what was discussed before, that and the most obvious rip off to other manga from Kubo would be YYH.
The reason Togashi had what seemed like a rushed ending, and I presume also the same reason we didn't get to see full battles at the final tourney was I believe that Togashi had to wrap up the series.
The same editorial department will probs let Kubo have time (and he's had plenty of it) to let his series conclude how he likes.
In fairness to the editorial department they are the same department that granted Togashi all those hiatuses for Hiatus X Hiatus er I mean Hunter X Hunter (I speak as a massive HxH fan though- no irony in my username!)
Regardless Kubo will have been given good treatment by his editors and he will still shit on his fans at the end.
@Naruto:
By will power I mean using all your strength and never give up,
Meaning that they don't always do that when they're fighting a strong opponent? My point is the "will power" thing seems superfluous.

I could see that potentially being used as a last resort, but not now.

Dunno but i just have this feeling that One piece is just a trend in Japan,i mean i don't really think they care about quality at all(no offence but OP is not a manga of quality!i personaly consider it very good but nothing more nothing less, but i find it quite overrated in Japan!),all these people read it just because it's famous,i mean come on 50 years old is too much to read a childish manga,OP is quite childish,i'm surprised manga like Monster or Death nore didn't even make it to those who are among 21-60 years old!

I didn't think his point was ridiculous until he mentioned Death Note as an example of what I presume to be a manga of quality and not childish.
Unless the poster thinks Bleach is a high standard of quality, but that's not in the post.

They didn't even try to use their shika, they went straight to bankai which I found really stupid. They knew they would lose their bankai.
Probably or Azien could just escape himself. He probably already did considering I've seen a few characters just in this chapter that look like Aizen.
Ichigo went toe to toe with Aizen. This guy should be a joke to him. He is stronger than he was before.
Ichigo, Isshin, Yoruichi and Urahara went to to toe with Aizen. Ichigo would have been fucked were it not for Urahara.

Your trying to think rationally in Bleach!! Give up. It's like trying to understand how tobi would have managed to wage war without the help of Kabuto. Just…don't.

One Piece top, shocking. Naruto 2nd still, not surprised. This is terrible news for Bleach. Outside the top 10 and way behind what it sold this time last year I think, despite the arc being as good as it is so far, still not selling in Japan it seems.
I know that they're not the smartest people in the planet, but I mean, really? They think this arc is good?

To be fair, we haven't seen enough to call this arc good or bad yet. It certainly looks more promising than the Lost Agent arc. It's just that the extremely slow pacing makes it really hard to enjoy.

I love how these people have no clue how deep the One Piece story can go at times. Yes, it can have childish humor because it's Shonen, but it's those themes such as racism, slavery, comradely, love between family, etc. that makes One Piece accessible to such a wide audience. Also considering those 50 year olds were like in their late 30's when they started reading… Well, yeah.
I like Bleach and Naruto, but the problem I have with their fans is they automatically think slicing people in half and the nonstop fighting in place of story (this moreso for Bleach than Naruto, honestly, even if Bleach has been a lot better lately) makes them a better quality manga.
Even if One Piece is my number one series, I'm not blind to its faults. It has them for sure. But it gets me when people automatically look down on One Piece just because it doesn't have the typical warrior design a lot of these others have. Quite naive and ignorant.
As for the chapter of Bleach this week, I have mixed feelings. I liked the speeches on one hand. On the other hand, I find it a little absurd the captains rushed in like that. I get they thought it was a seal, but it feels like it was Kubo's copout to get the most powerful Bankais in the hands of the enemy.
Ha hah ahahahahahahahahhahaha.
Why am I not always on Bleach Asylum?!
Easiest question in the world.

The pacing is what breaks the Bleach arcs, even more so than poor writing. When something that should take a chapter takes three, it's hard to care. Bleach's problem is that too little happens over too much time, and half of what happens is stupid.
I just noticed that the new villian in Bleach looks like a buffed up zangetsu.

WAT, Kubo reuses character design?!?!! LUDICROUS!
I already knew that. It's just I found whatever the new villians name is that he looked familiar to someone. Also there is a fact the we haven't seen Zangetsu in a very very long time.
Honestly the only thing I've found interesting in this whole entire arc so far is the Luchador Quincy.
I want THAT guy's backstory!
(…by someone who knows how to write, I mean)
@Naruto:

If you don't count the bishie teenager version of him, yeah, it' been a really long time.
Isn't he dead now?
Don't worry. Zangetsu will reappear once Ichigo's lack of confidence in his own ability to protect his friends returns to haunt him.
Or if he needs a convenient power-up.
If you don't count the bishie teenager version of him, yeah, it' been a really long time.
Isn't he dead now?
Idk if he is dead or not. Kubo never explained what happened to Zangetsu after Ichigo lost his powers.
Going by my logic and what kubo established in the begining of the manga, Ichigo can't go bankai without zangetsu in him. So I assume is alive or something.
One question I want to ask about today's chapter.
Can their zanpakto still turn shika? Since their bankai got stolen, doesn't that also mean that their spirits like zangetsu were also tooken. Without them they can't turn shikia either.
Easiest question in the world.
Oh. Right. Because it's all I hate about Bleach but with fans.
I'm guessing this is a new Zangetsu that looks like the old one. After all, if a sword is born to mirror the shinigami's innermost being, that means that it should always remain relatively similar, no matter how many iterations.
Or it could be that this is the old Zangetsu given new life or resurrected.

I can't remember, but isn't he still using that named attack that came along with his original sword? Or has he just been slashing generic energy waves since he got his powers back?
Ah great plan… have all the strongest Shinigami willingly sacrifice their strongest powers so that their underlings can maybe think of a way to get them back.
Let's see how that goes.

Well, to be fair, people in Bleach are made of paper, so Bleach is going to have more violent moments. People in Bleach lose their arms, legs, get giant holes in their bodies, and barely blink.

What's the worst that ever happened, though? Kira getting a hole bown in him? Byakuya punching Tsukishima through the chest? Hiyori getting bisected?
I don't know the ratio of gruesome violence between Bleach and One Piece, but One Piece's is a lot more quality overall. Bleach rarely manages to get me to have more of a reaction than "meh".

I agree, but if you look at it from a literal perspective, Bleach is more violent in the sense that characters end up losing pieces of themselves on a daily basis. In terms of quality, I'd take One Piece anyday.
I can't list all the people who have lost body parts in Bleach; mostly because I don't care, but also because it's so numerous. One Piece tends to be a little more realistic in their violence, so it's not as "look at that giant hole, it has to be the size of a semi-truck wheel", but much more believable.
So yeah, from an emotional standpoint, One Piece uses violence much better than Bleach. From a literal violence standpoint, you can't take two steps in Bleach before you have to use bleach to clean your bloodstained clothes.
Oh, hey guys, did you know people in BleachAsylum call this arc's villain Blackbeard? Yeah…

The only thing less realistic about One Piece's violence is that no-one ever dies. xD
I agree, but if you look at it from a literal perspective, Bleach is more violent in the sense that characters end up losing pieces of themselves on a daily basis.
The problem is it takes the Dragonball chickenshit aproach by having every injury and lost limb healed by magic. Sort of takes away from any kind of impact this might have.
And yes I know FoLaG is gonna kill me now.
Lol, seriously?
I've seen some call him Buckbeard or whatever, but "Blackbeard" too? XD
Hope they name him soon so we dont have to see bleachAsylum trying to make their version sound like a well written mastermind that is fathoms better than ours. Oh wait nvm its been 5 seconds and the bleach wiki already gave him a backstory made of other backstories. Kubo is just falling back into the same old same old, so im not sure how a die hard bleach fan could not even flinch at whats going on, there has to be some point where they question their fandom right?
Well anyway enough of that, at least naruto was excellent this week
