I think BB is distributing DF powers among his crewmates. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how many DF's he can house, but even if it was a lot he couldn't properly control them.

This is the only way Luffy falling into direct confrontation with her this eary could be explained. Just because they're all Emperors, doesn't mean their strength is even close to each other.

No that is exactly what it means. Big Mam isn't weaker than Marco or Ben Beckman who can take on Admirals. Luffy cannot fight an Admiral already. The Emperors keep each other in check. They can't fight each other because then they would be too weak to face another emperor or WG. If she were significantly weaker than the other three she would have been taken out. Emperor is a title rewarded to a distant #4. There will be no direct confrontation between her and Luffy, she should be deep in the NW. Possibly beating up her messengers or eating the last bit of candy just puts the SH on the top of her shit list. Which I think leads into them needing Lola's mom's help.
I Just noticed that Decken wasn't shown in the cell. He was the only one who didn't take the ES. I'm dissappointed we didn't get a reaction from him. He probably finds it very amusing.

I was one of the first who wanted Akainu to be FA and now its finally confirmed.
up until now I just can say why the upper govt officers voted for Akainu is for sure because of Aokijis all lazy attitude. and the fact the five elder stars have talked bad bout him b4 he got introduced. Of course IDK if there are more reasons for the gorousei to vote against Aokiji cause we didn't see anything else on screen.
Last time we saw Garp he had this kind of mini base in fusha village. IDK if he left East Blue again or if he is in the NW rite now. If not I can clearly see Coby trainin with either Garp or Sengoku @ MHQ. I can't imagine Coby train with anyone else. Coby has to stay on the GL/NW if he ever wants to fite Luffy again.

if he can "only" extract DFs from dead people there isn't much room for strengthen his own crew, especially if there are more than 2 fruit users among his crew (yet only Laffite and BB are confirmed users).
He maybe collects the strongest fruits and when he again picks the strongest among the strongest, he'll feed his crew with 'em.

he wasn't satisfied only with lvl-6-prisoners. he let them fight in a lvl-6-battle-royal and picked the winners in the end.

I'd think losing territory would be bad, but especially to them if it's Blackbeard and they probably didn't just let him, so either they did fight, and by the sounds of it lose badly or went their seperate ways.

Great chapter! Any doubts I had concerning pacing, style or art I had at the beginning of FI arc have been erased by now.
It was really good to hear some news on the outside world. Aokiji vs Akainu reminded me of Ace vs. Blackbeard. I'm glad he's not in the marines anymore! Akainu being at the top.. I think it's a way to make the marines a more clear enemy by the end of the story. Up until now, the marines have always been a grey zone - with bad and good guys - and I've been wondering how Oda would solve it at the end: wipe them out or have them live in peace with pirates - neither option seemed right. But now that Akainu's in charge, it seems more likely that they will become an actual enemy/bad guy at the end that needs to be destroyed. And apart from that, Akainu being in charge should make things interesting. I do hope we'll still see a lot of Aokiji though.
I also liked what he did to Hodi and his crew. A good solution.
the manga says he is hunting for the most powerful DFs which means he doesn't take every DF power he finds out there. He has some DF abilities in his mind since he spent a lot of time researching it.
Just read the chapter! It was fantastic! The thing with Caribou finding out about Shirahoshi being posedian is not surprising to me at all but hearing Akainu becoming fleet admiral and Akoji quiting the marines was just…....WTF!? And hearing about blackbeard being member of youku was little surprising but not by much. Overall, a great chapter! :)

Well like I said I want it to be that he can extract Dfs from living people as well but all evidence pionts to the contrary.He seems to have to kill a person to take their Df.I hope I am wrong though and that he only kills becuse it is a faster way.Maybe stealing a Df from a living human takes too long-maybe 24 housr extraction?

If you truly believe that he can then you have a very flawed understanding of how fast the speed of light is and it would also require you to accept that Marco is faster since he was able to intercept him.

...was the best! I love these chapters, where it's plot heavy. So many questions answered, so many new questions asked.
Now we just need to know what the Shichibukai and the Supernova are up to - if the marines are stronger, I'd imagine the Shichibukai have to be stronger too. I can't imagine Buggy being one, although his crew consists of a very good defensive unit.
And there are now two open admiral spots, I wonder who got them...
And now the Aokiji being a good guy/bad guy ambiguity has been resolved - so the SH's don't have to fight him!

Caribou's always shown to have all of his body parts - ears, head, arms, legs connected together. There's no way this isn't done on purpose.
He turns his body to what his fruit is, and it's a swamp - a pile of mud, so it would naturally flow.
Don't know if you're familiar with the Batman series Alina, but would Caribou's abilities essentially make him the Clayface of the One Piece world? He seems to posses the same abilities as Clayface, minus the shapeshifting, so that still gives me hope for a shapeshifting enemy with the Clay-Clay Fruit in the future….

Why not?Jimbe was complaining about the fact that Rayleigh didn't told the strawhats about the big news…also, the wild animal reference is related to the color of observation,that allows the haki user to sense the presence of creatures around him,just like Rayleigh did when he arrived at the '48-season' island right before training Luffy. The wild animal that Luffy sensed was Caribou.

I mean, most people expected Akainu to become Fleet Admiral, but that Kuzan fought him over it… Genius. Love that he's left the marines. I thought at first he might have become a revolutionary, but if that was the case, Robin would have known. And I can't believe she would keep that a secret.
About Blackbeard - him being called a Yonkou now makes perfect sense. I also like how he extracts powerful Devil Fruits... That will hopefully, finally, silence those damn retarded "Cerberus Zoan" theories. Since Lafitte already has a DF, it can be expected that we'll see at least most of the others with extreme new powers... Nice. I guess.

We don't know any of his crew can have more than one fruit. Maybe when we meet them they all have one fruit and blackbeard has 10.

It's too early for the SH to defeat one of the emperors. If Luffy did that there would be nothing for Oda to built up to. Big Mom is one of the strongest five or six people in the world she can't be defeated at this point. Besides with her being Lola's mom it's unlikely she and the SH remain enemies for long. The Yonkou who is most likely to be the first to be defeated by the SH is Kaidou. He's been already established as "evil" because he fought Shanks to stop Whitebeard from trying to rescue Ace. Anyways. First the SH will defeat a couple of New World Pirates who may be associates of one of the Yonkou or with Doflamingo or one of the new Shichibukai or even with the New World Marines, but not a Yonkou right off the bat.
