Volume 65 Prediction Thread

This is how it's going to work:

I'll say how I think that the cover will be, and how many chapters it will have
Some of you will follow
Someone will ask "Isn't too early to post this thread?", We'll ignore him.
Around january 26th we'll get the new cover (SJ preview)
Someone will say that their idea was better
We get the nice cover around January 30th
We get raws of the sbs and inner flaps between the Febraury 2th and Febraury 4th
The volume gets released the 4th
Someone translates the sbs (thanks to the usuals, Greg and Aohige)
People discuss how the sbs was childish/the BEST ONE EVER
Someone post the full raw (Usualy Redon, thanks)
Someone post the sales statistics of the new volume (Again Redon, thanks)
We start from the top, Vol 66.

My Prediction: The fishman pirates, vanderdecken and wadatsumi, already defeated, title: "Complete Loss of Face"
Or: "The Ancient Ark", Noah as the background, Luffy vs Hodi in the foreground, Shirahoshi and Brohoshi in the background

We are just one or two chapters short for the full volume, and how things are set up, all the fishmen will be defeated by next chapter.

I predict the cover to have the same characters as yours, except the title would be "Phantom". Luffy in the foreground with Noah behind him, Hody and Decken's faces on the upper corners and Shirahoshi and Fukaboshi's faces on the lower corners.

i predict that on the top half of the cover in the middle, it will have the ark above fishman islands bubble, maybe shirahoshi at the top (like the botom right panel here: http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/638/17 and on either side of that stand hodi and decken (maybe half their faces cut off on each side of the cover, looking sinister). on the bottom half we can have luffy riding brohoshi, both looking upwards.
Also, MAYBE a couple of strawhats beside luffy and brohoshi. I only say this because brook was pretty impressive in "Phantom" and "Death Is Also Revenge" but given the last volume cover, having any of the strawhats other than luffy is unlikely.

The title will probably be "Back To Zero" because brohoshi's speech seemed like a pretty important event in the arc

I'd say we either see the NFP officers or IMO the more likely one Noah above FI in the background with creepy-Hody-face in the middle and a pissed Luffy with a giant haki-fist preparing red hawk or sum elephant move. Fukaboshi and his sister would also fit in that cover. Last chaps have put emphasis on 'em.
I'd prefer the volume to be either green or purple/violet bgcolor.
Title could be "To Zero" or "What R U".
11 chaps would be nice since there is no seiyou-interview anymore, is it?

I say we will definitely see Decken on the cover since he hasn't appeared yet. And Hody. The rest is irrelevant. :ninja:

I'm the guy who complains about the boob jokes.I give up predicting the cover, I always fail miserably. I just hope Decken and Hody are there, with Noah in the background. It's been a while since the last vivid green cover, so I'm expecting something similar to that cover with Wiper, I believe it was volume 28.

I don't know about the chapters since it could go up to chapter 646 which is not out yet (or maybe 647 if some of the chapters are 17 or 15 pages).
The cover will definitely have Hody on it, probably also Decken. If it's a mirror cover of 64 like 21/22 and 42/43, it will star the NFP officers, Hyouzou and Wadatsumi. If it's not a mirror cover, it will star Luffy who is fighting Hody.
SBS: Yeah, I'm with the kid Marines too. Someone probably also sent in a request of seeing the Yonkou as kids, but that will probably wait until Linlin and Kaidou are seen in person.

I don't think it'll be Phantom, because that chapter title was referring to Brook's newfound abilities, which aren't relevant enough for a volume title.

The cover will feature Hody, Decken, Daruma, Dosun, Hyouzou, Zeo and Ikaros Much. I'm also hoping for Luffy doing some cool haki move so we can see Oda's take on it in color before the anime(even though they kinda did it in gigant battle 2)

The color will be purple or maybe green? It will include chapter 637-646. The title will be An Ancient Arc or perhaps Protect Everything.

I really want to see Oda doing a color picture/cover where Luffy uses busoshoku haki and since he uses it quite a bit in volume 65 i'm hoping it will be sooner rather then later. Hopefully this will be it. Just give me my fix Oda.

And just for fun we can point out that Luffy doesn't get pink and shiny when he uses Gear Second in the manga, atleast based on Oda's pics.I also find it quite funny that almost everyone in Oda's world has the same skin color. Ok…. now i'm just rambling.

Hmm and if my guessing is correct then the next chapter will be the last of volume 65.

With the recent events I think the NFPs don't "deserve" such a cover like the CP9 in 42 or BW in 21 did, cause they all got pwned in one single chapter. I personally hope that they get their own cover anyway in 65. But ch. 646 would also be a fitting last chapter 4 this volume thouh I don't know how many chapters that volume would have in that case.
Wadatsumi should stand where Franky shogun stood in vol 64.
Surume isn't really an opponent and he also was already in vol 62, so Oda should put emphasis on the bad guys, because this would have been an arc where not a single villain would appear on a volume cover at all. Check it from 61 to 64. The most "evil-lookin non-SHs"-characters are Neptune and Tiger. This volume cover HAS TO SHOW the bad guys from this arc.

I don't care if they deserve a cover of their own, because I don't think that will change much. If they don't, the only difference will be Luffy in front of them. I'm expecting to see Hody, Decken, Wadatsumi, Hyouzou, and Hody's pals, though.

Don't worry, mistakes are what help us learn.

This thread isn't for just cover prediction, but all kinds of infos about the volume as well. When it comes out, this is the place where we discuss the SBS for example.
As for the linking thing, I understand you, because I too see no point in that, but it's not necessary to point it out.

TItle, hmmm, Back to Zero? Or is that for the volume after this one? If thats the case, "Noah" would be a good title.
I think Fukaboshi and Jinbei will be on the cover after this one. So this one will have Hodi and Luffy. I did not do the math, but it would be cool if there was still room for a volume called "Poseidon" just because thats a cool name for a volume, and Shirahoshi alone in the cover would make for the best cover EVER :< (I mean she in the pose she was when it was announced that she was Poseidon, by Robin)
